Hmm, not enough Ferrari...

Yeah I was pretty tired after work yesterday. Plus I was only just back to the game. Surprised I won them two races.

Ill join any other testing sessions if you do some. Failing that see you at practice :)

I've done further testing with the cars, and based on the Speed Test and hot lapping on different tracks, I have concluded that they're fit for final testing. Are any of you availible tonight? The cars in question are the BMW M3 (without a doubt Mattie's choice :D) and the Mercedes C63 AMG. I fear the M3's stability might make it superior to an extend where it's no longer a contest, but we'll see.

Tracks we'll be testing on are as follows.

Rome - 8 laps.
Madrid - 5 laps.
Special Stage Route - 5 laps.

I already have all the tracks for the championship lined up, but I don't want to give up everything just yet. :)
lets just say that one of the tracks has been absent from this Racing Series for far too long, and thus shall be making a comeback.

I also want to test the Toyota, Scion and Subaru FT86 again for another possible Racing Series.
Please tune one of your own choosing with the following.

Carbon Bonnet - Either with or without color.
Add spoiler, front splitter and bumper from GT autoshop.
Stage 1 engine tuning, along with Sports ECU.
Sports Intake Manifold and Racing Air Filter.
Titanium Semi-Racing Exhaust.
Custom transmission - Tune it however you like.
Custom Suspension - Tune it however you like.
Clutch Twin-Plate.

Tires will be Sport Hard, and we'll do some short races on Fuji and Suzuka.

Well that seems good enough for me. When is the next testing day to test these cars?

If we get enough people joining tonight, then this will be the last testing session (assuming we conclude the cars to be good rivals.). In that case, I'll host our first practice session either friday or saturday.

If we can't get a decent grid for tonight, I'll postpone the testing session to the weekend.

I thought we already had tested the M3 vs C63 AMG (together with the alfa 8C and the maserati GT), the AMG was no match for the M3.

I'm not really in the mood for racing as i'm about to have a cold. I'm feeling very tired at the moment.

You mean the European championship from way back? The C63 clearly wins on the straights, and it's not horrible in the corners either. Just needs careful throttle input.
As I remember it, the M3 was allowed back then (I think Chris drove it). The R8 and M5, however, wasn't.

When is the lobby for the testing of more cars opening up?

When I know how many drivers we have. :)
for the moment, it would appear as if we'll have to postpone it for either friday or saturday.

Edit. So far looks like we'd be 3 people. I'd really like to have at least 1 more. Having a total of 6 would be optimal.

Yes that one. I'm not going to join, it will be early bed time for me tonight. Hope i feel better tomorrow, but i'm afraid not...

Just checked the old Euro race thread, and the M3 was both allowed and used during that race.

Come on guys! Get on your PS3 and join us so we can have some testing today. I gave up BTCC today for this :indiff: .

If you aqquire Race '07, we can do some proper BTCC racing. It's pointless to start up a lobby if we don't have enough people. Can you join tonight Buck?

I don't mind that they will be "re-used", but i know which car i won't choose :).

Personally, I can't quite decide. The C63 sounds better and is more fun to drive. The M3 is stable and a lot easier to control if you slide. Both look good, though I probably prefere the C63.

To hell with it. I won't spend the entire evening waiting for people to respond. Testing session will be friday at 19.00GMT. Hope to see a decent turnout.

Yes it is true that it is pointless to start up a lobby when there isn't that much people, but I was assuming that it would eventually be set up.

But that would be absolutely pointless because we've had quite a lot of track days where you could do anything you wanted. Now I think it's about time that we picked the next car(s) for this racing series so that it can be started as soon as possible.

But with 3 people you're not going to get any good data. 4 is a push. I do want to play GT in a min though and I'd rather play with you lot than randoms.

I will be on tmrw at 7pm ok, ive friend requested u, see u tmrw.

Not meaning to be annoying, but you might want to check on your grammar. The mods aren't really a fan of lazy grammar; not having a go at you, just giving you a friendly reminder before you get in trouble with an admin.

You didn't make it clear what day you was actually planning to postpone the testing to...? I can come and join if you really want.

Sure I did. I commented yesterday, saying that I'd postpone it to friday at 19.00GMT.

And just to make sure people know what to bring...
