The Merc is not all that superior on La Sarthe. In fact, I'm not sure it's superior at all on that track, dispite it's god like 3rd gear. They are, however, very equal on that track.
We've only done one race on the Nurburgring thus far. Mattie remained within 1-4 seconds of me throughout the entire lap, only to overtake me on the straight.
And who knows what car will handle best in the rain.

Sorry I wasn't really paying attention to this part of GTPlanet yesterday.
PS4 is here though! No GT6 as of yet. Hopefully it'll be at E3, then announce a bundle to be released on launch date.
8GB of ram sounds pretty impressive. Never thought PS would be the people to go all out with ram.

Still annoyed that they didn't mention anything about what disc drive they're using, or if they're using one at all. I assume that not mentioning it means that they're sticking with the Blu-Ray drive. Thankfully.
Overall, I enjoyed the conference. Missed GT6, but that other racing game looked somewhat interesting. New Infamous looks amazing, as does Watch Dogs. Killzone looks meh. I'm still waiting forthem to make a Killzone as good as Killzone 2, but with a proper story and characters to boot. Anyway, it's time to save up for this years holiday.

I heard someone mention they'd said they was sticking with bluray which fingers crossed means backwards compatibility.
I'd gladly pay an extra 50-100 pounds to allow me to play all my PS3 collection on it. I'm upwards of 40 games now.
The controller looks good. Not sure how most games will use the touch pad. Gran Turismo for instance. I see no use apart from perhaps tapping one side or another for things like fuel mix or brake bias. Other than that I can't think of anything.
I missed most of the live stream even though I was promising myself not to miss it. And I think that I better start saving up for the PS4 now otherwise I will be left behind with GT5. Times move on so fast
Keeping time isn't a strong point of yours now is it.

Don't count on the PS4 having backwards compatibility. The BR drive is not the most important factor. PS3 games are designed to run on the Cell processor, where as the PS4 uses a true and tested PC processor. In other words, PS3 games won't be able to run on the PS4 without having some serious work done to them. Sony has already stated that none of the games currently on PSN are able to run on the PS4.
I for one, don't want to pay more for backwards compatibility. I have a PS3. I'll use that for my PS3 games... It hardly takes up that much space.

Was actually planning to buy a TV Wednesday, ended up ÂŁ1.12 short.... going to buy it this Wednesday instead.
My biggest mistake was eating what I thought was a piece of chewing gum. However it actually turned out to be a nuclear bomb disguised as a piece of chewing gum. Damn near blew my head off lap 10.
