Great racing today, and congratulations to Tavilha for winning at Madrid đź‘Ť .

With the first 3 races having been completed this weekend, the compition for 1st place has been fierce. My take on the last two races...

I really wasn't in the mood for racing today, so I was surprised that I actually enjoyed the first race at Madrid a lot. Very exciting, with 7 cars being within 5 seconds of one another for the first 12 laps or so. The race on Special Stage Route went as expected. I'm not a fan of the track, and only added it in because I wanted some more diversity in the tracks that I use in the Racing Series. The AMG is simply awful on that track.

Was very impressed by Tuner managing to keep up with the two leading BMW's on SSR, and would love to hear his input on how the Merc performs on the track. :)

On wednsday, we have our special event on the Top Gear Test Track. Don't count on any practice session for it, so make sure you do some practising on your own. Should be fun.

Congratz to MSTER for having won two races thus far, and Tavilha, for winning 1 race.

I've just spent some time doing laps around TGTT and my best time so far is 1:18.938 from a rolling start and 1:24.549 from a standing start. See you guys on Wednesday :) .

Might have a quick run in a bit. See how I'm doing.

Going to go now. Racing Softs right? :sly:

Did a couple of low 1:20's. Maybe if I run in the car fully it'll make a difference.

No. I did my laps on the tyres that you are supposed to use for this racing series :P . If you don't believe me then I can quickly get some video proof if you wish.

EDIT: No one has given the next track on the calendar a go yet?

EDIT 2: You guys must be busier than I thought you were xD .

Good couple of races, Madrid was a real street fight. Some contact in my battle with Bananoides and Andy but nothing over the limit I think. Did lose some time so I had to push a bit too hard in the final lap to try and overtake Tavilha for the win but he deserved it.

Made a rookie mistake and spun on the first lap at SSR. Eventually managed to make up about 10 seconds to Tavilha in 2nd going through the field but ran out of laps and tires to keep up the pace and try to overtake. SSR was a real struggle in the AMG, especially the fast flowing corners hurt the lap time. Hopefully the AMG power can make the difference at la sarthe.

TGTT should be interesting, I'll give it a go later today.

If only we'd done the trial at Madrid. Running ahead of pace first 2 sectors. Just the chicane I was losing a lot each time. May be because I couldn't switch direction quick enough with the DS3.

You might find it helpful if you turn the controller sensitivity up so that you can change direction quicker but you will have to be more gentle in corners that require smooth, slow inputs.

Oh I'm on 7, standing you go full lock in a spilt second but when you're going 75MPH into a chicane like at Madrid it takes an age to do it.

Was great racing at weekend, shame people disconnected:)
Had a good race with Andy, on SS5. We were both making mistakes, but had a good battle. I hit the wall to many times on the last lap, tires were gone, fun though:sly:

The next session we're having is tomorrow; has anyone done any testing on TTGT to get some typical times?

Apart from the partial running the other day I haven't done any. Doubt ill do any tonight. Considering completing Skate 3 again. I miss making my own parks and I have like 5 different parts so I have to unlock them all again.

Did some laps yesterday and could get down to 1:19.4xx. Perhaps I could go down to 1:19.2 but that's about it for the Merc and me.

It seems that the BMW and the Merc will be fairly even on this track, despite my thoughts. Try and see if you can get the fastest time on your first 2 tries, because you only have 2 laps to do it.

So far i managed a 1:19:3xx, i think i can knock a few tenths off. I'm going have another try this evening.

It's a pretty difficult track imo, chicago and hammerhead are difficult corners with a DS3 :).

See you all tomorrow!

It seems I'm the only one that has got a 1:18.8xx but I'll have to try it again, might have been a one off.

1:20.1xx was the best i could do yesterday (with the G25) :( If i have the time i'll practice a little more before the event today

Well you could have told us earlier that you use a wheel :D .

This is how it'll go down. I'll open the lobby at 18.45GMT (at the latest), and people will join. I don't want anyone to enter the track.

I'll run my 3 laps at 19.00GMT, and note the time. Then the next driver will proceed with his 3 laps. The following list shows when the different drivers are up for their 3 laps.

Andy-Macnab
M8h3r
MattieM
Johnwells69
Tavilha
Bananoides
Tuner307
MSTER232

Well I have my PS3 signed in, just turned on GT5. Gonna go for dinner, hope I ain't too long :)

Room is up. Have been doing some practising the last 20 minutes. Best I could manage when not getting a red timer was 1.21.071. Can definately get down into 1.20's and 1.19's, but would probably need more practice. Just haven't been able to get myself to play GT5 lately.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: way too soft in the first corner. Should pushed more there. Every practice lap I pushed I'd lose the rear and all my grip. Bottled it first lap and couldn't risk losing the second.

Also, beat you andy with a DS3 :dopey:

Also, I didn't think 911's were allowed in the game :sly:

With the Special Event at Top Gear Test Track over, the scoring is as follows.

1st. tavilha in his BMW M3 with 41 points.

2nd. Tuner307 in his Mercedes AMG with 33 points.

3rd. MSTERE232 in his BMW M3 with 25 points.

4th. Bananoides in his Mercedes AMG with 25 points.

5th. Andy-Macnab in his Mercedes AMG with 22 points.

6th. MattieM in his BMW M3 with 11 points.

7th. Johnwells69 in his BMW M3 with 11 points.

8th. M8h3r in his BMW M3 with 4 points.

MSTER failing to show up at the special event warrants a 5 point reduction to his score.
