Oh my race was bad also, I pitted 2 lap for tyres and choose the wrong. Went back out on SH, had to come in again.
Then my luck wasn't on my side, I had crashes every other lap. I was going to park some where, I was doing bad, but carryed on to the end...

Good win for Mster in the bad conditions.

That's why we like you John. Even if things don't go your way you always plow on. I've never seen you quit a race cause you're doing bad yet I'm pretty sure nearly every one of us here have done it. Whether we'd like to admit it or not. 👍 to you.

I parked my car in the last race as soon MSTER had crossed the finish line, that was my first time in all events from Andy.

Maybe the weather settings should be changed in future events, so far it always has started to rain after 4 - 5 minutes and it stayed the whole race through 100% wet.

Amen to that! When it says weather changeability it means full on flash floods.

Good win for Mster in the bad conditions.

Do you guys want some tips to combat the rainy conditions the next time we have a 'rainy day'?

A wheel doesn't really help with countering wet conditions. And it should be noted that our race on the Ring in the Subaru VS Mitsubishi event also featured full weather, yet no rain fell in that race.

None the less, I do hate how the weather in the game is usually just full on wet conditions, or full on dry.

As for parking during a race. I don't mind if people park their car during practice races. But I don't want to see such things during an event race. We've all had our fair share of crap races, but we most just press on. Of course, it doesn't really matter if you do it at the very end of the race.

Buy a wheel?

:odd:

Buy racing compount tyres so you can actually choose the rain tyres if rain shows up?:lol:
Nice try, but I wasn't going to say either of those things xD . I was going to say that I noticed you guys were taking the "dry" racing line in the wet. That is where all the rubber is and in the wet it will not help, it just makes things more slippery. If any of you guys saved the replay, you might have noticed I was going wider into corners and mainly going around the outside, where all the grip is. I most noticeably do this on the carousel corner where I noticed it was actually faster to go around the outside flat part, and not the curved, banked part where you would normally drive.

Try this the next time we have a wet race, guys 👍 .

Considering hosting a track day this evening. Anyone interested?
I might be able to come :) .

I knew that already, i just wasn't in the racing mood :). I'm not sure but i think i have golded all nurburging special challenges (the one with the gullwing and the SLS in dry/wet conditions).

I'm going to watch the last two episodes of Game of Thrones tonight. I bought the series on blu ray. The weird thing is, the print at one of the discs says episode 7 and 8 are on it, but actually 8 and 9 are on it. Episode 7 is at the disc that has episode 5 and 6 printed on it :odd: For a few minutes i was afraid episode 7 was missing.

I've seen season 1 and 2 of GoT in the last 10 days or so. Such a fantastic show. Can't wait for season 3.

I'll postpone the track day for a day where more people can join. How about thursday at 19.00GMT?

On another note. I think I might have found the education I want to start, today. AP Graduate in Automotive Technology. My thinking is that it could open a doorway into the world of motorsport as part of a Racingteam. Ohh, and how you guys heard that Renault is joining in on Le Mans this year?

Not sure. I play day by day at the moment. May be seeing Joana that day so not gonna say yes or no.

I don't know yet if i can join thursday.

Working in a raceteam is something you really have to like. The cool part is of course travelling to different countries and see the race action right in front of you. The "dark" side is the long working time at the race weekends and work pressure. Going for a bachelor or higher degree in (mechanical) engineering can be a good decision as the demand for those people will grow in the next years.

There wasn't a single emotion going through my mind as i read that sentence :).

And I expect that I shall love it. :)
I don't mind long and tough work hours as long as I enjoy the work. The pressure is something I'll have to work on though. :nervous:

And http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Alpine_A442
Renault is a force to be reckoned with in racing. Their new LMP (Participating in the LMP1 class) is supposed to bring back life to their Alpine.

Imagine next year where we'll have Porsche in the LMP1 class too. Assuming none of the current LMP1 runners withdraw, we'll have a lot of compitition at next years Le Mans.

Didn't see the extra part. Would love to get into motor sport somewhere. In car or not I'd like to.

Renault will never look as good as lotus cars.

I have a VCRC race at, 20.00, but will come in for a little while:dopey:

Any ideas for next your next race series. Had a race the other night, with weather settings, rain at start, then drying out. Was good, maybe we could try that on a longer race:idea:

The new NASCAR event is silly. Not only have they still not turned off SRF but Nascars on London! I can't do that clean and get on the podium.

This is what happens when PD run out of ideas.

Seems I'm gonna pull an all nighter tonight, so if anyone's around say 3am UK time then jump on GT5 and ill have a cruise. Silly F1 Qualifying got pushed back to midnight cause of rain, then I'd have to get up at 5 for the race anyway. Lucky I have Monday booked off work.

I guess I would come and join you but don't expect me to be good because I would be really tired :) .

Happy birthdate M8h3r. :dunce::cheers:
Enjoy your day off, while the rest of us are at work. :)
