Not saying I don't like the idea of putting two cars against each other. Just we've exhausted all the good rivals. I can't think of anything other than Aventador VS Enzo, but that just means lots of understeer.

Does the cappuccino go well against either the Autozam or the other one, Diahatsu is it?

I reckon the Aventador is too quick for the Enzo. The Murcielago SV is a better choice, but even then, I'm not sure how well they match up. K-cars might be too slow to actually be fun to race with. I have, however, been looking into different hatchbacks like the Mini, VW, Renault and Peugot.

Of course there's also the possibility of having classic VS races to find the best sports car and Super car of any given time period.

That could work.

Also, with the K-Cars if you raced on small tracks maybe they'd be fun. Wouldn't make a whole lot of sense running at Sarthe for instance but Autumn ring mini and Monaco could work.

RX-7 Sprint R Type A '02 and the Honda NSX Type R '02? Both 1270KG and only 4 BHP difference.

After oil change only 2BHP.

Will test them out today. Afraid the MR layout of the NSX will prove superior.

Done some testing and I have concluded that the NSX is too fast for the RX7 to be competitive.

How about the Acura NSX. Has about 30 less BHP and weighs about 75KG more. Might be a bit closer.

There's a difference of 11 years between the two...

On another note. Why was the Lexus IS F not included in the AMG VS M3 championship? :ouch:

Pretty much the same car.

Never really driven the isf properly. Except the RM model.

Thinking of doing a historic racing Series. Starting with the 20 million classics (are they supposed to be in the Group 5: Special Touring Cars, catagory?), then moving on to Group C, and then LMP's. Should bring a lot of compititive driving. Good idea?

Damn it, now I'm all excited for it. :)

I'm thinking some long endurance races on Monza, Spa, Daytona Road Course, Indy Road Course and La Sarthe. And perhaps a shorter race on Laguna Seca as well. The Group 5 cars should of course be on Sport tires, while the Group C cars will be on Racing Hard. The LMP's will have a choice between Racing Hard and Medium.

Laguna Seca will be replaced by Fuji for the Group C car championship, and the LMP championship will just be on Spa and La Sarthe.

I also got a tip from somone here on GTP that if we set the weather to 50% and changeability to 10, the weather should be a bit more randomized, rather than being similiar to a damn rogue wave hitting the track.

If you want to do some testing now I'm free. 👍

If we can get some people together, I'd be up for some testing later this evening. But first, I must shower and eat. This mortal flesh needs substance!

I'm up for that, especially after watching 7 episodes of breaking bad :). Have you considered using standard cars? I know you don't like them, but it expands the selection quite significantly.

Standard cars will be used in both the Group C and LMP catagory.

I can show up later. Got dinner at some point but other than that I'm free. 👍

Also, will the Chromeline Jag be allowed or just standard one.

Also, can we add a rule that NOBODY is allowed to paint their 20,000,000 cars? Such prestige ruined. I like a car in pink every now and then but I've seen things like pink Jaguars. That was painful to see

The Chromeline Jag will not be allowed. I agree that the cars shouldn't be painted, with a few exceptions. For an example, I believe Ford actually raced a yellow Ford Mark IV back in the day. So I wouldn't mind if someone wanted to paint their Ford yellow and use it for the championship.

Not sure if the Ford or Ferrari could be painted. I just didnt fancy a field of rainbow coloured Jaguars.

No go on painting the Ford. Can't paint the Ferrari either.

If I were to open up a session right now, who will join?

Edit: Opening lobby.

New rule, everyone from England has to use the XJ13, Italy the 330 and America the Mark IV. 👍 :dopey:

100% wet in an XJ13 and I happen to forgot it reverts back to Sports tyres when the race starts.

My view of the race.
