Count me in as tuner.
Here's my tune if anyone wants to test it
Here's my tune if anyone wants to test it
You can also add me as a tuner.
And I'll definitely not tune a DC5!
Here is my review of Raver and Praiano's tunes. I used a baseline tune of the Honda Integra '04 for reference. I added all power adders except turbo and all weight reduction. I didn't include chassis strengh. I added full custom suspension and used default values all else stock with SS tires. Power was @320 hp weight @999 kg and pp @486.
The good starting with my baseline car.
great sound with stock trans.
level stance
easy drivability with neutral handling
good all around gear ratio's
stable with smooth ride
consistent with fastest time on my 5th lap
The bad
moderate understeer
avg. brake balance with avg. strengh
avg. acceleration
vanilla handling
Lap time of 2:05.754 @GVS
Ravers Tune
The good
level stance
wide ratio 3rd gear
traction out of low speed corners
strong brakes
stable on straights
hugs the inside line
The bad
took me 8 laps to put three consistent ones together
1st and 2nd gear too short but unused here
3rd to 4th gear shift required perfect timing to pull next gear
lost time to base car on straights due to gearing
overall gearing not sorted for my style
aggressive handling that requires extra concentration
little margin for error with handling
quick initial turn-in then pushes on exit
didn't like the long tunnel or faster corners on the track
overall setup didn't suit my driving style
Lap time 2:04.657 @GVS
Praiano 63s Tune
The good
very stable under braking
brake balance works well with tune
smooth turn-in
gear spacing close and effective
quick accel.
used all of gearing on long straight
easy to drive fast
could make consistent laps that suited my driving style
fastest time came on 4th lap
The bad
car sits high in front and low in back
loss of traction on corner exit (slow corners)
dampers maxed out on front
moderate understeer
could be faster for me with less understeer
had to coast more with lower entry and exit speed in corners
harsh ride up front
overall a good tune for my style
Lap time 2:02.800 @GVS
ACSR421I have a couple of questions as a driver. After I read the rules more closely.
1. Do we need to give a review of the tune or just our lap times ?
2. Are we competing against the other drivers for the fastest lap time ?
If so I only ran 8-5 laps for the two tuners that I reviewed earlier and only tried to get 3 consistent laps out of each tune (not looking for the fastest time I could post). I thought the times just needed to be a fair representation of each tune and would get avg. out at the end of the shootout to determine the winner amongst the tuners.
Sorry for the confusion, I want to make sure I'm doing all I can for the tuners hard work. I would have run more laps in each car to get the best lap times though.
I am interseted in taking part in this as a tuner, the only thing I have to say is that the Premium model cars will have an advantage to the Standard model car because you can install aero kits on them. So maybe it would be good to restrict it to standard model cars. That way you would see a wider variety of cars and also it would be more fair. What do you reckon?
Also we all know that the DC5 Integra is going to be the winner.
Onboy123Hey, how about hyperlink all the tunes on the first page so that it'll be easier to find things rather than flipping through pages of things?
It´s mph.
1st :Set Top Speed
2nd : Set Gears
3rd : Set Final
Top Speed of this car is 182 mph @ 9800 RPM
Hope that helps

It does, I will revise my review and lap time out of fairness since I got it wrong. My apologies
Well, I'm on holiday and I won't be on my laptop for that long, so flipping through pages of things to find tunes won't be easy
I'll give it a go though, and if I missed something, tell me.
I can do it for you, and I'll PM you the list. You can then copy/paste it into your original post.
Not bad on the lap times Praiano!
Thanks! I'm loving the response for this but feeling a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up. Have had about 4 hours sleep in the last 48 hours...only reason I'm not sleeping now is because I'm waiting to pick my Jeep up from the brake shop so I can work tonight.

Revised time for Ravers tune. I botched the trans. ratios earlier. Old time 2:04.657@GVS
New correct time 2:04.416@GVS
O yes, i always enjoy this glorious moment till you destroy again all my dreams of Aerton Senna digital with yours aliens laps times..👍
Question for the tuners, has anyone hit or broken the 2 min. barrier yet??
I'm at 2:01.676 right now, with 490PP and some handling issues still to be resolved. I think 2:00.xxx is reachable, but sub-2min will be out of reach, for the me and the car I'm driving. But it wouldn't surprise me, if someone in the 'best' car and great driver can hit the 1:59's.
I was gunna take Praiano's tune for a spin and see what I could run, a little later today.
-raVer-Do the Gear ratios work better now?
Btw Do you guys cut over the concrete?
Here one of my laps

Good question. I keep 2 wheels inside the track lines, I've had to hold back on a few laps I cut right over and was up on my ghost by .5 . If you go wide then sharp inside and throttle hard you can hold serious speed with that cut, but be careful it's easy to go too tight and get off the Track. Its the corner I'm still playing with. When I get home and get a chance to run a few more laps I'll work on chopping at that 2:02 from my 4DooR Time, then see how my ITR compares.
For the simplicity of the competition, I recommend, just using the standard GT5 green/red laps. Or else, you're on honor system, and then replays have to be verified, etc etc. If it's green it's good, if it's red, disqualified. Anyone can snap a picture of the lap times/leaderboard for verification.
Ultimately it's up to XDes, but this is probably the easiest way to not add unneeded complications to the competition.
