praiano63This is the way i do, it simple or simplist, but it work. No math nothing. i can tune any gearbox in 1 minute with this .
The idea is to use all the gears, from a long first to a short last gear and spread the others between, to explore with all the maximum power at the higher RPM as possible. That's all.
Try it...

Well the Civic has a second gear to quick to get solid traction in, and third is to long to spin the tires below 70-80 mph, so when you're exiting corners at different speeds, you have no proper gear to select sometimes.Loving the times there CSL!! Can't believe you got worse in the 2nd run with the Civic though, that was a shock to me......I was expecting you to rip up a 2.02.2 with it on that second run. I'm quite happy with the results, the feedback from you guys shows that although the times could be improved, the general consensus is that you guys enjoyed the cars, and that's all I wanted to hear.
What I'm finding funny is that one driver says that the wheelspin is controllable, while another says it's too much. Keep the rpm's down with the big motor cars, wring the neck out of the Civic.
I also found the cars with lsd's set to high run faster if you wait longer to accelerate and then floor it, with no regard for wheelspin, which in turn makes the inside wheel finally get more power, which is what it needs, but all in all, it looks like a proper diff for these cars usually ranged around 15/25/5. Blanket statement, exact specs would be determined car by car of course.
Done. I was at work.Drewsifer3X, please accept the friend request I sent you for testing your car.
Well, I have to give the Atenza a whirl now, since after tuning raVer's car to my liking, things have changed.Hm. My Volvo C30 was originally built around a 7/25/5 or 7/35/5 diff (forget which off the top of my head) but then went several tenths quicker at each track I tried it at after cranking the accel and decel up quite a bit. Harder to drive but faster.
In my experience, "overstressing" the outside front almost constantly results in quicker lap times than not doing so with FWD.
tris_73Not mixing up your Murrays and Maxs there are you Richie?
As a benchmark for handling, I'm using desperado's spitfire with a 'custom' gearbox.
Only managed a 1:59.964 with the Atenza, wasn't driving as good, couldn't match previous time with RJ's tune, I can see time for both, but a seemingly close match the two are.
I'm surprised I can't seem to make the car over-steer anymore than it already was, it seems unable to over-steer almost.

1:59.024
My tune of the Integra ran. I will grant I ran obviously the most laps with Integra's, and spent another 15 getting this time.
It's up for share now, Aqua Blue Metallic / Louts color.
So now I have to tune the Atenza to my liking and see which is king of these.

Of the two, I have to say the Integra is without a doubt, the faster car on this track.

Updated.
2 down, one to go and I've been putting this one off, because I could never drive it pass the first corner without stuffing it
It is, I can guarantee you it's the only tune here I can't outright gain .5 from at least, though I think most would be even more.I suppose that's a compliment, or a claim rather, to the fact that RJ and I squeezed everything out of it that we could.
Exactly. I knew the Integra could run faster than the tunes provided allowed, and I wanted to see what it could do comparably, I didn't expect what I got especially as easily as I got it, but seeing it can run 1:58's is pretty satisfying. What do u mean "tune to your liking"? For an unofficial time?

If you can come up with a - lowest weight/no ballast tune with more over-steer I'd love to try it.
I'm pretty sure I settled on 5/40/5 for my LSD and got the gears where I want them, just need more over-steer.

I'm almost finished with my testing. I just need Grinols and Basilea cars and if anyone has Assasins car up for share I'll be done. I have my purple haze edition eclipse and a Honda accord up for share if anyone wants to try them. They both run 2:02's for me at GVS with the accord weighing in at a portly1500kg. For those that need my psn. it's the same as my screen name.
Enjoy, AC
