Wallbanger's Cafe & Outlaw Motorsports Garage (New Tunes 6/15/12)

When someone wants to write an app for the rotten fruit and include us I'll happily endorse them.:D In the meantime I'm on an Android device exclusively so was excited to get a new app that would help the community find us.:gtpflag:

Speaking of the photo forums anyone interested in doing a thread there showcasing our favorite cars from here with links back to their tunes?💡

Hey, don't diss the Apple.

I don't mind, as long as we don't turn it into some kind of trash can with weird cars viewed in weird points of views. And this addition would finally let Tris do what he is paid (well, not really) to do!

Hey its a good idea regardless of who came up with it...besides if others didn't take good ideas and try and improve on them we would all still be driving model T Fords in your choice of colors as long as that.choice was black!:lol:

Oh I agree. And I'm not saying I came up with it. As a matter of fact I can think of at least two other garages that have galleries, I'm just the most recent :dopey:

I also posted pics of the Clueless painted Specter with a link to your garage and tune in my last post, so I hope that helps :D

Oh there will be, I just don't know when :D
Thanks for the pics and the link.👍👍

Fixed it. Sorry about that :dopey:

Things like that are the reason English is such a tough language for non native speakers to learn. Here you have two words with slightly different spelling and pronunciation that mean exactly the same thing, while other times you have words with the same spelling but different meanings or the same pronunciation but different spelling and meanings...:crazy::crazy:

Sorry Desp, couldn't help myself.

Yep agreed and yes I used the wrong one it should have been they're which is the contraction of they are.:dunce:
Can I claim a witch cursed me and made me use their which is the personal possesive?

Yes, possession or cursing by any witch, wizard, demon, ghoul, ghost or spectre/er is an acceptable excuse, as long as you sacrifice a black cat at the 11th hour of the third full moon of the year.

:lol:So Mr official garage photographer you feel up to doing a thread in photo mode galleries forum for us?:drool:

And yes I'm trying to get someone else to do the work for me so I don't have to try and manage another thread with my Android dumb phone.:drool:

Give me a day or so to figure out a look and way of doing it. I'm sure I can figure something out.

A non-reviewers review

So here I am back at my favorite cafe, I mean come on $1.00 taps and the best stake fries in all of GTP.

Having a great time with the Outlaws, I excused myself and decided to...erm..."barrow" one of there cars. The Hyundai, HCD6 Concept '01, "Moss Mantis". So I left the cafe.
autodromonazionalemonzaou.jpg

and took it for a little spin
autodromonazionalemonzac.jpg

In a quick run at the "Dopey Downs", the custom Clueless race track, I knew exactly what race this car would be great at. The new Online A-spec 500pp seasonal.
nrburgringgpd2.jpg

I know, this... car?... is only at 450pp but that should not be a problem. This...SUV?... is so easy to drive, you can drive it like a krenkme and still feel like more grip is there, but you will never reach the limit. The acceleration is the only thing that seems lacking, but that is such a small worry, it's no real problem.
nrburgringgpd1.jpg

I like this ...thing!... it is such a plesure to drive. Now if you'll excuse me I have to return the thing... maybe :dopey:
nrburgringgpdo.jpg

You just can't keep me out of here :D. The guys here are so fun, even for a bunch of Outlaws. So let's see if I can waste more of your time with another:

So after accidentally keeping the "Moss Mantis", I crept back into the cafe a stole barrowed the blue prints for the Volkswagen Beetle RSi "CTR2" and headed back to Clueless Tunes to throw it onto one of my own VW Bugs.
trialmountaincircuit1q.jpg

Now looking at the set up I was a little worried about this one. The LSD and the Toe seemed to look a little off, but none the less I built it to speck, and headed to the track.
trialmountaincircuit2h.jpg

WOW!!! The grip on this thing is breath taking. The handling is spot on and the gearing works like a charm. I was only planing on putting a few (3-5) laps in, but I was having way too much fun and it turned into a 12 lap run :D.
trialmountaincircuitfi.jpg

I also like this one. I'm glad I built my own. The only problem I have now is should I continue my tuning garage, or just drive the Outlaws cars around the track. :dopey:

Ok, time for me to say a few things about certain cars:

The 400 pp Showdown

In this one, I'll be talking about three of Outlaws's 400 pp cars and how they did.

Onboy's Fiat Punto Wow, you can't tell this is FF, now can you? It is nice and stable in corners, packs a decent punch, and has no problems with other cars from its class. You might say this car is slow, but remember, this ain't a Fiat Coupe, it is just a hot hatch. This car suprised me in a positive manner, because it is a well composed version of a poor men's Abarth.

Tris's MR2 It is not a suprise pick, but it ain't bad either. I like how fluid the handling is, because it one of those cars you can switch modes with the proper input. Or it grips, or it drifts, you pick. Pretty good, neat looks, and a great engine, which gives you all the speed you need for your issues.

Harvey's 2000GT Surprise car! Coming from Harvey, that doesn't surprise me. The car is so low to the ground, I almost thought I was driving a Go-kart! The handling is pretty stable, but it gets awkward when you start sliding. I guess this car likes grip more than anything else. Now the hard part is finding a stock car first...

Thanks for that. :D I'm actually surprised you found grip, because it was a rather sideways thing the last time I drove it. But that last time was when I kicked an Elise RM's arse online. As for whether you should continue…hmm…we should do a contract, we review your stuff, you review ours.

Have you come to expect anything else from my FFs? It's funny you should mention a Fiat Coupe, I've got one somewhere in my garage tuned up, just lying around gathering dust…if you want, I'll put that on if you want a go. A poor man's Abarth? Abarth is a poor man's Scuderia anyway. :P

Well, I've often thought that the Coupe was one of those underrated type cars. It would be interesting to see how a tune for that would work...

Finely linked Onboy's Ferrari in the index. Hey Onboy are you going to post a copy of your shootout tune here for me to link or not?:sly:

If I can get connected today and the 2.05 update installed I should have my belated Valentine tune posted today. Tune is ready just need to take another photo and upload the photos.

Nope. I'm waiting for all 3 version to be complete before releasing them. :P

Is it something pink? Is it a Bug?

Yes its sorta pink and no its not a bug.

Actually "Tough Love" is the car of the week tuned to meet the regulations for the A-Spec intermediate rally special events. I've gotten gold with it on the Alaskan snow portion but ole Harvey Wallbanger's lack of driving skills means that unknown courses and no driving line equals frequent penalties for turning left when your supposed to be going right.:dunce::drool::lol:

At 475PP it also wins the 500PP online seasonal challenge races easily using Sports Softs, and if desired should be able to win the Grand Valley 300km using Racing Tires!:D:gtpflag:

The car of the week is a great idea! And the first choice is a great car. I posted a setup in it for 400pp, but I'm assuming that a higher pp level will improve this already fun car. Looking forward to seeing your tune, and the next car for car of the week :sly:

@Onboy, it's not much a review, but more of me being an idiot :dopey: I built it as you said and I could not get it lose at all... maybe I put different tires on it, but I hardly buy racing tires anymore. I'll look into it asap. :dopey:. As far as review for review...meh... I just like hanging out in the cafe. But feel free to review one of the messes I've made over at Clueless, I don't mind :dopey:

Hmm…I might have to check it then…it should be both as loose as hell but also just about in control…I'll have a check too. If it's changed, I'll have to "update" it (read as "retune the sodding thing from ground up"). Of course, I need to return the many favours you have done for us, I shall now strap myself into the loony that is known as the Dodge Viper SRT/10 ACR. :dopey:

And if you want loose, I'll put my Ferrari on share, you can go and see what happens when a pony is trying to become a Stallion. :scared::dopey:

once I get home I'll look into the BUG. :dopey: If it is as grippy as I remember, no need to re-work it, but maybe add a V2 Psycho addition :D

If you're going to run "Big Daddy" look out for tracks with the slightest of "jumps" :scared: unless you like looking at the clouds :dopey:

A Ferrari huh? :sly:

Ah, no need, I just drove it again. I knew that car drove too well for someone with so little experience with 4WD…turns out, yes, it has huge grip, but all the fun I experiences was on off throttle and I need to learn how to manage the slides, it slides like the rear wheels are on ice…

I learnt my lesson after driving Dragonthing's ACR…had me hospitalised for a bit when it bounced me off the track (literally straight off) at 180+mph.

Ohh yea. :D
