Wallbanger's "Tons of Fun"(Final Round Underway)

If the results are accurate, 2/3 of my favourite cars did not advance:crazy:

Cykosis's Jag was such a perfect tune for me, incredibly balanced and precise, just like IndyRacerfan's AMG. I was looking forward to seeing and driving them again in the second round:grumpy: Those are two very special cars guys keep up the great work!!

Missed out by a single point in the end, better than I expected. If I'd packed a bit more balast in, things may have been different. Thank you for your kind words and best of luck in the next round, Sir 👍

I change the color of my test car that is now more GT and less flashy. What about the photo pool, will it be reset ? can we change the picture ? How does it work , 8 cars on 2 tracks ? and after a super final at Monaco???:)👍 The best place to end anything.

Yes you can change your photo. Will be an all new photo poll.

There will be a single group of 8 cars.

The two test tracks are the Nürburgring GP/D and Madrid Mini (Reverse).

Would have liked to have used either the full Madrid track or Monaco but both took to much time considering this is a two track test. For a single track event either one would be great.

Thanks to all the folk who wrestled mine around. My aim was to make it the most drivable, so I'll take second to ACSR in the driver's choice as my personal win. Especially since ACSR makes fantastic cars. 👍

It's odd though, I knew it wasn't going to be the fastest but I managed quicker times than all bar Johnnypenso, and I know that Johnny is much more than a couple of tenths a faster driver than me. I must have some really weird personal preference for some of those settings. :ill:

Track choice is good, both short enough to run many laps on. I've never actually driven Madrid Mini Reverse so it'll be a learning process for sure. And Nurb has many corners that are very understeery so finding a balanced setup for both tracks should prove a bit tricky. I would also assume most of us, if not all, will be airborne on the uphill back stretch section...hard to tune for that...lol.

Good luck everyone!!

Ok thanks , this will be my new picture for the final part of the contest. I would love to be a test driver ,but unfortunately ,not enough time till the day 18. Just some few hours of GT.

I will send it to DigitalBaka by PM also.

I have high hopes for the next round, almost finished making the lambo better and I then have about 20 photos to go through :)

This comp has been very fun thus far!

Alright I've started listing test drivers for the final round. We need to get some more drivers signed up to give this collection of fantastic cars the kind of workout they deserve!:gtpflag:

I really wish I wasn't so busy at work...maybe come Thursday I shall have some more free time though! Can I be put down as a maybe?

Added Dragonthing and GoSpeedGo88 to the list of Final Round Test Drivers.:gtpflag:

Also finally finished adding my Group A mini reviews for anyone who cares.

The only car people hated more then my Viper was Desperado's.
Thanks for liking brute force sledgehammer stuff Johnny.👍 :D

Sorry my friend but you have the scoring switched around. You finished 2nd in Driver's choice in your group, not 2nd to last. Johnny may have won both time trials in his group, but he did not give good driver's choice points to the brute force cars in his testing.

The final round score sheet is ready to go. I will send the link to Desperado when the list of testers has been finalized.

Now if I can find time to work on my car tonight...

Yeah I'm a little confused myself...:)

Updating the tune? Why this ? Can we do this ? Or not ? I'll let my tune the way it is anyway. If it's allowed perhaps just the final gear for the smaller track...

Yea it is allowed ;)

Anyway, in true James May fashion the Lambo took a wrong turn and ended up in Switzerland. This photo was taken to remember the occasion:

So I'm looking around and I have no idea what happened. Where is the scoring sheet that show what cars got how many points in order to advance, etc?

There's links to photo polls etc, but I don't see anything about weight, or how points were assessed and measured, quite clueless atm.

Absolutely amazed the Viper would do so well on drivers choice though. :)

Down the score sheet it's writen :time attack / tuner score sheet / driver score sheet / photo.

Everything detailed there.:):)👍;)

Here is the first round scoresheet. For all categories, 1st place got 6pts, 2nd got 5pts etc.

There are tabs for the time attack results, and the overall tuner results.

So basically this comes down to my car was 1KG to light for second round? That sucks.

Pleasantly surprised how well the Viper did though, can't complain there. :D

Good luck to those in round 2, that's a purty Murcielago you got there wildheart.

You do make me smile. Everyone will undoubtedly be going about their cars like a Formula 1 pit crew, tweaking this and tweaking that. Mr Fish just switches out a cog and puts his feet up to enjoy the rest of the afternoon sunshine.

Be afraid everyone, Mr Fish is feeling relaxed...
