A live Nine News report was interrupted this afternoon when a young woman ran in front of the reporter to offer him a sip from her "goon" bag.
Journalist Dan Koch was reporting on the Queensland State of Origin team, who are training in Melbourne, when the woman intruded carrying a bag of goon the colloquial term for cask wine.
"Do you want some goon bag?" she asked him in front of the camera, before leaning back and drinking some herself.
Koch said it wasn't her first attempt at trying to get on TV.
"She's seen us from across the street and she's come tearing across there with her goon bag in tow," he told ninemsn.
"She's just run up through the shot the first time and I was like 'No, if she puts her arm around me or something, this is not going to be good'."
She then yelled something out but Koch was not being broadcast at that point.
"Then she's come back and offered me a drink," he said.
"My mother called and said she's glad I kept my manners in tow and said 'no' to a drink."
Koch was being filmed across the road from the Hilton, where the Queensland State of Origin team is currently staying.
