War Thunder (F2P Air/Ground combat MMO)

Then those P-47s and P-51s are doing something seriously wrong.

I can outrun any Yak's in a P51/P47.

Or maybe the russian planes are OP as hell.

They are not OP at all, they suck at high alt. They can turn fight beastly at low alt, of course you dont turn fight a P47/P51.. nor fight low with P47/P51's. They cant turn for ****. Enough with this OP shenanigans. The P47 clubs for its BR, it should not be 3.7, but of course its 3.7 because no one can fly it properly.

@Leonidae@MFT you just joined the group of complainers of WT... Learn how to fly and you wont die from Yaks. 👎

I wouldn't complain this much if the allied teams would display any kind of competence in aerial warfare, but such event is one in a thousand matches..

I don't think 'flying properly' has any ground where any form of actual combat techniques aren't found. The game's just a mad scramble and that's a thing I hate a lot about it.

I think the biggest problem is the BR, because there will always be a better tank/plane on one side or the other. Thank god for no historical battles ;-;

I don't understand this dev server crap... I get everything set up for when it goes live, and still can't get on because I don't have an activated account for it... Doesn't say anywhere that only select individuals can test stuff..

Anyways, more German stuff:
Ta-152C: Evolution of the ‘Dora’
The Ta-152 fighter was a further development of the Fw.190D ‘Dora’. In War Thunder update 1.57, we will present a new modification of this machine – the medium altitude, five cannon Ta-152C.

By 1944, the German command understood that the abilities of the Fw.190 were no longer up to the task – the speed of Allied fighters already surpassed 700 km/h and the Luftwaffe needed to re-examine the Focke-Wulf design. Alongside the development of jet fighters and the promising Do.335 two-seater, it was decided to upgrade the Fw.190D by installing a new engine and improving the structure of the aircraft. That is how the new Ta.152 fighter was developed. The Ta.152H modification has been in game for a long time already. Players like this machine and it is present in almost every battle at its rank on the German side. In the War Thunder 1.57 update, we present the medium altitude modification of the Ta.152C with a different engine, a smaller wing area compared to the H modification and a more powerful armament.

The C modification has significant differences to its high altitude sibling. While the Ta.152H has longer wings used for flying at high altitudes, this modification uses the short and durable Fw.190 wing which has better dynamic characteristics. The Ta.152C is a medium altitude interceptor, which has the task of quickly gaining altitude, catching up with the target and destroying it.

The installation of the new Daimler-Benz DB 603 LA engine required the air intake to be moved to the left side. Our artists have represented the cannon openings on top of the engine cowling. The protrusion on the left side of the cowl flap is a blister for the engine mount. This model of the Ta 152C is completely new and has been created in line with our current in-game model quality requirements.

One of the main advantages of the Ta 152C modification is its improved armament: two 20mm MG.151/20 cannons are located at the wing roots (175 shells per cannon) with another two MG.151/20 at the top of the cowl (150 shells per cannon) as well as the 30mm MK 103 autocannon (85 shells, including the powerful ‘minengeschoss’ incendiary shells) in the cylinder assembly.

The Ta 152C will be a Rank IV fighter in the German research tree. The fighter is located right after the Ta.152H and it is most effective at medium altitudes. Its high speed, combined with an excellent armament makes this aircraft a truly dangerous opponent for both propeller driven aircraft and early jets. Meet the new top piston-driven addition in the War Thunder 1.57 update! See you in the skies!

You're too late, the dev server is closed by now. That's why you constantly get that error message.

You can't call Russian bias because of the allied team's (mostly American pilots) inability to fly their planes properly. That's not bias at all, it's incompetence.
According to PhlyDaily, the Do335 is a dinosaur "basically a little faster B25"
He doesn't know what he's talking about anyway.

No, not sarcasm.. he's basing his impressions on a dev server/not final flight model of a yet-to-be publicly implemented plane because he feels like he has to show everything that's coming in the game before anyone else does.

I've been checking almost every hour, on the hour...
Because it only lasted for a few hours at a single day.

Not sure if sarcasm or not, but it's clear as day on the video it goes as fast as a B25, yet handles like the HS129B

It was mentioned that the Do335 had a placeholder flight model in the recent dev server build and that the actual performance will be different when the update releases.

From the video he did today, the Do335 is so unresponsive. Like holy crap.

I'm not wrong about what I said though, and I'll wait until MagzTV and TheOrangeDoom cover the plane once 1.57 releases.

👍

Most vehicles that get implemented on the dev server tend to not be finalized until the actual update releases, and even then there are vehicles that still get tweaked after.

Dude, at the time you started trying it was already over.
It was already that exact day and the time had just ran out a little before.
The most recent time posting was when it was still open, and I was getting the error message that my account is not activated for it, which is different than the one saying the ports were not opened for it...

Yeah, would be nice though if every time I do flank, the enemy doesn't... Then what am I supposed to do with his argument of tactics? Because there is no other option, rather to sit in base.

Go in head first and hope to god that your allies can provide you with good covering fire. I was a big part of the latter in the few battles I fought yesterday, mainly because I got to test drive this;

So flanking and/or standing back and providing covering fire is a very important idea, when you got a walking weakpoint right above your head... Still, for someone who never drove a tier III tank, especially a Premium one like the Calliope, the three battles I had were rather profitable. Only one loss (in the one battle where I had the highest ground target killcount of course), therefore meaning that I managed to edge out two victories with this badboy.

I am not sure what to feel about the rockets; I felt that the turret delivered far more reliable damage than the rockets, not to mention that one clean shot to the rocket racks would immediately blow my noggin' to pieces. Still, if you have a good distance to the enemy, you can kind of pelt them with rockets if you aim carefully...

Server update.

This is a server update that will be implemented on the game servers within 24 hours. During this time, bug reports regarding specifics mentioned here and their effect in a battle will not be considered as a bug and as such will not be taken into consideration.

The following vehicles have had their Battle Ratings updated:

  • The BR of the М26 Pershing has been decreased to 6.3 in all game modes.
  • The BR of the ТB-3 aircraft has been decreased to 1.3 in AB and RB.
  • The BR of the Tiger II (P) has been decreased to 6.3 in AB and RB.
Note: This server update applies to all platforms unless specifically highlighted.

There is a 32v32 enduring conflict RB event in the game right now.
Pretty fun but the Germans have no idea how to fly their own aircraft...

It's also seemingly difficult to even join, as if you have to have some sort of secret line-up, otherwise you get a "missing aircraft", even if you have a 3.3...

Make sure you've got at least 4 planes in your lineup when you try joining. When I had a lineup of 3 planes that fit the criteria it wouldn't let me start the process of joining a match for it. This new version of EC doesn't seem to be giving out "loaner" planes when you join, so you have to have more than 3 to participate.

I ended up spading the Pe-2-31 and first row of modules for the Il-2M type 3. I was only on the last 3-4 modules for the Pe-2-31 before joining and figured it would be a good way of finishing it off. Focused mostly on ground attack, but did fly out the I-185(M82) and got a kill with it.. and a few ground units.
