There is nothing mentioned about lost cars. Only picures and tracks.

I believe it is written how in the notice as well, and i would think both parties should do it. Wish i knew more!

Did you read it yourself?
It mentions nothing about restoring lost cars which is what we are all upset about as many of those cars took many hours to get.
All it says is you may have to restore sharing settings on cars and tracks.
Nothing that is lost is being restored and car are still being lost when the servers tell us they're sent and delete them from our garages.

I traded a Toyota Minolta 88c-v this morning, it was successful and i received the trade car as well, no problems here.

Been experimenting.

There are 2 main accounts on my PS3, one for me, one for the wife. Cleared the cache per PD on both.

Created 2 new accounts, A and B. Went in, set everything up, bought car in each.

Sent car from A to B, first and only car send, it worked. Sent different car from B to wife, also first and only send, that also worked.

Did notice that while you get the red star by 'Community' when you connect, and then again on the 'Gift' icon, after receiving you don't get the star on the 'Car Delivery' truck icon (was that the case before? don't remember now) but if you go into 'car delivery' anyway the car is there.

Anyone else have good luck?

And for those of you saying you just lost cars as of today/last 6-8 hours, would it be to much trouble to mention if that was your first/only car gift of the day?

I don't think there was a star by the delivery truck. Just a red circle with the number of cars available.

As I stated earlier first trades work but cars sen after midnight when it normally resets disappeared. Trading is still hit and miss. I used no tricks testing this.

Before that I lost 2 cars by normal "one per day" trading. If I could get them back that would be amazing

You guys do know you can check their log to see if they received the vehicle.

Just keep them on your friends list and say in the case that a car doesn't "make it" I'd like you to stay on my friends list for a week just to see if it ends up where it was supposed to go.

i didnt know there are problems with car trading, i did a trade a couple hours ago, everything worked perfectly


yes, you can see if he got it, but you cant see if he sent it, so they can still scam you by saying they sent it and they didnt, thats why i asked him to send the car first

^^^^^. this guy... i've actually started videotaping all of my trades with my blackberry and then I email th transaction to the other party, so there cannot be any dispute if the car is lost in cyberspace...

well i sent the guy his car anyways, he said he sent it but i never received but he was asking for a car i already had a chrome version of so i sent him it anyway but as im hoping to trade a formula gt off someone hopefully, i'll have to do the same and video my future trading

The problem of cars legitimately disappearing is fixed now. People telling you that are scamsters, they must think we're all idiots. Happened to me just now. Getting sick of it hearing excuses. Video, then send video to mods.

Get rid of the scammers from this site.
