Boards are a bit quiet tonight, so I was doing a bit of surfing and decided to do some digging on this seminal year for Group C sports car racing. I'll post some photos and see what race reports I can find.

Jag vs Porsche head to head though - fantastic stuff. I remember listening to a BBC radio report on the race on Sun morning Australian time describing the race.

racing isnt as good as it used to be..

i remember when the F1 all had (close to) equal cars and every race somthing new would happen.

now its just "lets see who can keep up with Schumacher"

1999 was a pretty good tilt. With the GT ONE and BMW LMR fighting pretty hard throughout the night. Looked like the GT ONE was going to catch the LMR until that tire blew. Watched almost all of the race.

I've got the official video of it......As a collectors item I'd thought about selling it :2cents: But hey that race is legendary so I think I better keep a hold of it :D
