Here is one of my first model cars that made me fall in love with automobiles, the Escort Cossie:
love it !!!
i went to buy one yesterday
it didnt live up to its sales ad though so i walked away 👎
Sigh... At least you have the possibility of buying one on that side of the pond. The closest things we got to Fast Euro Fords was the Focus ST170 and Mondeo ST200. Great cars, but they're no Cossie. At least the Mk.3 Focus ST might come here.
Everything about it is just perfect for me, it's mean yet elegant and best of all.... it's a Jaaaaaaggg.
so you won't get the new focus RS ?
If it ever comes to the US... Last I heard they were still debating whether or not it will.
it may be a bit too expensive for americans to stomach as its starting price is just under £28,000 or $43,000 here in the uk you would get a very big very american car for that, at least you have the new fiat 500 now though but no abarth
Still an incredibly beautiful car 14 years on...
I'm still not feeling the new one yet. I'm sure it's better in every way, but it's just not as pretty. But then, what is?
My first car shock happened when I was twelve, hiking in the south of France. There was a dirt rally taking place just feet away from the trail. The roar of the cars still miles away shook me beyond belief.
I asked if we could go and watch a bit... And there it was. A Rothmans liveried rally car.
I had hundreds of hot wheels cars, none that really stood out. Though it's not a toy, this did.
Greg Moore was my idol growing up. He's from my hometown, actually lived a block away from me, and wasn't much older than me. He joined the Champ Car circuit at a young age, and was really moving up quickly. Unfortunately, he died in a violent accident in the last race of the year on October 31st, 1999. I was watching the race live and saw the accident happen, and it made me cringe. Watching him race got me hooked on Champ Cars, and racing in general. From there, it turned into a passion for all automobiles. Greg is still missed to this day.
