Welcome to the World Endurance Championship Feeder series, Rising stars!
Positions always available

This is a feeder series for the WEC thread https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=278891

HOW THINGS WORK

Room will open between 8:30PM GMT and 9PM GMT evening, The room will be hosted by either myself Memto89, jonnyb1990 or i-was-ere,

LMP and GTE Multiclass event, Races would last around an 2 hours, with 2 Endurance races, Lasting around 3 hours,

ROOM SETTINGS

ABS 1, (Maximum)
TCS 0, (Maximum)
Driving line allowed,
Heavy Damage!

Visible Damage, off
Collisions, off
Slipstream, Weak
Depletion, Normal
Grip, Real

These are the mandatory regulations

Headsets can be used during testing and before qualifying, the room organiser will state when headsets must be turned off, Text box will also not be used during qualifying and the race.

Spec checks happen at 9:30 BST, Once we enter spec check the room becomes parc ferme and you will not be able to change your car anymore before the race, this will be enforced just before qualifying, anyone caught changing their cars after spec check will be disqualified instantly from the event. If you are late to Spec check then you will be forced to start from the back of the grid with no qualification and will be spec checked after qualifying.

Qualifying will be a 15 minute session followed by the race countdown timer for all circuits, except for longer special events, in which will have a 20 minute qualifying followed by a 5 minute break for you to sort your food, fluid and bathroom commitments for an endurance event.
Also, the field will not be cleansed after qualifying, so if you are in an LMP car and have a horrible run you cannot expect to be bumped up to the back of the LMP field, you will start where your qualifying time dictates.

Race distance for most events will be approximately 2 hours (Laps calculated for LMP completion time). Some special events will last 3 hours, exact lap count will be disclosed in the build up to each race.

If you wish to park your car, then pull into the pits and sit on pause, do not park it on track as it is distracting to other drivers.

The thread
The thread is to talk about racing and for myself the other stewards to post information. Any issues or arguments are not acceptable behaviour, if you have an issue PM me and i will deal with it. Things get dealt with behind the scenes and there is no need to being anything into the public eye, that just causes more trouble.

The lobby
In the case that there is over 16 drivers wishing to partake in a race event then the room will be split into 2 rooms with the most even number of class drivers as possible. the race will be run line normal but at the end the times from both races will be put together to see who has won and points and penalties will be awarded to each lobby as if they are one.

Soft tyres are unlimited through out the race.

vzpv.jpg

Medium tyres Must be used for a minimum of 40mins of a race. The warmup lap is not counted in the 40 mins so if you start on med tyres you have to take into account how long the warm up lap is.

If weather is used on a track then intermediates and rain tyres will be used, and after the rain has dried up then soft’s may be used till the end.

QUALIFYING AND RACE INFORMATION

The Races, All races will have 1 full pace lap, unless detailed otherwise in the drivers briefing,

RACE START PROCEDURE

+) Cars will roll at pace speed around the circuit,
+) The leaders will slow pace to bunch the field up prior to the final turn of the warm up lap,
+) once the field is bunched the leaders will proceed through the final turn onto the front straight,
+) When the 2 lead cars are on the painted grid lines it is up to the pole winner to start the race, They can start the race from any point on the painted grid lines to the start line,
+) If they cross the start line and haven't gone then the race is green, their loss,

I'n summary, the pole winner dictates the pace lap, at pace speed, They have to ensure the field is bunched up, (near as makes no difference as some drivers will tail back to ensure their own safety in turn 1, once the leader gets to the painted grid slots its their choice to go, if they get to the start line and haven't gone then the race will also go green,
(Bare in mind that these may change race to race, so suit the track we are racing on, these will be released in the driver's briefing one week out from the event,)

OVERTAKING AND LAPPING

Be patient, overtaking points will come, You will never win the race on lap 1,

Lapping, GTE cars will be expected to maintain their line, It is up to their discretion to get out of an LMP cars way, "removing" them from the circuit will result in a penalty,

This is a championship, Points will only be awarded for top 8 only in each class, Bonus points maybe awarded for, Class Pole Position, class fastest lap, And class most laps led, and leading a lap at the start line,

If you are a lap down in your class and you are not as fast as the lapping car in class then Blue flag rules are instated, You must move over and let the faster car past. If you are faster than the car in front and you are a lap down then you may take your lap back, but if any incident is caused from that, you will be held responsible.

DISCONNECTION RESTARTS

In the event of a mass disconnection, we will restart the race, however for this to happen,
+) 2 or more people must disconnect within 30 seconds for a restart to be called,
+) there must be a minimum 40% of the race remaining to be completed,
+) If there is 30% or less of the race to complete the race will be called to the lap prior of the dc and that is the order in which points will be dealt,

How this will work,

+) We will post on the thread Mass DC, 20 minutes to restart, (If everyone returns it will be earlier)
+) Everyone who dc'd will go clear their cache and reset router and return to the room,
+) The room will be set to a percentage of the remaining laps, Minimum 33%
+) Everyone will use racing soft tires for the restart, it is not required to use the harder option,
+) The room will be set to 'Standing start with false start check',+) once everyone has returned and things are ok we will go out on track and park in the order of which the dc occurred,
+) The race will start and we will go on green, No warm up lap!

POINTS ORDER

1st) 10
2nd) 8
3rd) 6
4th) 5
5th) 4
6th) 3
7th) 2
8th) 1

BONUS POINTS

1 Point for pole and 1 for fastest lap of the race (Each category)
Double Points will be awarded for the two endurance races, You must complete 90% to claim any points,

WARNINGS AND PENALTIES

Penalties will be dealt with accordingly, TDZdave, Memto89, Johnnyb and i-was-ere are the stewards.

If an LMP causes a GTE car to spin or crash while lapping them, the LMP driver will be given a 1 min penalty for avoidable contact.

Other avoidable contact offences will be given 1 min added to their final time as well,

For the GTE class, The race will finish at the first full completed lap after the LMP car has started the count down, This is to discourage dive bombing moves that may or may not gain you a place in the last seconds of the count down timer, However you guys can continue racing for your GT5 prizes until the countdown has finished.

White lines in and out of the pits are monitored and will be a 10 second penalty for crossing. All 4 wheels must remain in the white line unless it has been noted by the stewards that 2 wheels may cross.

If you are not sure if you have received a penalty or warning from an event, They will be published at the bottom of the OP, they will be published by Monday evening after the race, If we have yet to come to a decision it will be published as TBD,

Corner cutting, Two wheels must remain on the black stuff at all times, (or curbing) If it is deemed by us that you have been cutting corners you will be served a penalty pending how much it cut or how many times,
Also, Do not arrive in a "Hybrid" or "Hacked" vehicle, you will be removed on the spot! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Vehicle rules,
All cars will be fully tuned if the driver wishes, the only requirements are the weight limits and pp limites which allows for different tyres of setups on the cars

R6 Laguna Seca

There were no penalties for this round. A completely clean race

I will say though I am very sorry for calling the restart.

And its live..... nice, will fiddle with the cars later today and see which one I will have the most fun in,

Put me down for the Amuse but I need to see the dates before I can commit as part or full time. Have holidays booked etc

If it is only 1 maybe 2 races that you will miss then you can put yourself down as a full time driver as there will be 9 races.

The schedule will be up very soon

It will run bi weekly to the WEC top league,

OK, so as long as it's on the opposite weekends to WEC (which are difficult ones for me) I can pretty much commit full time, with maybe an odd miss here and there.

So will this run on Sunday evenings (GMT)?

How soon are you looking to get started? This weekend or weekend of 21st?

I believe Saturdays, but I'm ok with Sunday nights too,

LMP

GTE

2. Gadget334
3. ANFD - Full Time

If this runs on the alternate weekends to WEC, then that suits me fine (I don't like having to wait 2 weeks between events). Also, to be clear, everyone in GTE will be in the Amusing little Turbo ?

I have no problem giving up the spot if the room fills with non-WEC drivers :)

Neil....just to be clear also....I plan to fit the correct tyres this time :ouch:

My only request would be that due to Heavy Damage, you do not choose some of the narrow tracks with walls close by. I favor the real world tracks (with the exception of Monaco) with flowing fast sections :sly:

I understand the first race is in three weekends time. Any chance of publishing the full list of dates so I can stick in my diary please?

all the dates are on the Track graphics mate ;) you got any testing down of the new car??

Doh! Graphics were so 'pro looking' I didn't even twig they were race specific with dates.

Yes, had an amusing run out in my yellow S2000 at Indy last night with Richy, Scott and Dave

Damn, love both cars...
I'll show up to the Indy Road race in the R10 and see how bad I get demolished and then determine if I want to join or not.

I shall put you down then mate.. welcome

I don't really like doing this on other people's pages, but I'd highly appreciate it if any of you guys checked out my series thread.
The race shouldn't conflict with my series's starting time.
Just one question... why are collisions off with heavy damage on? Isn't that kind of redundant?
