You were running very well in the pescarolo lol it was rather annoying, and turbos are not allowed in any car in any class.... We shall try and figure something out about your desire to drive in LMP but you may want to test the viper for now to see how you get on, the target time is a 1:47 high

I'm gonna try Viper tonight and we will see 👍 ......of course If you can let me use the Pescarolo....

What tire compound did you set those times on?

It was on RS. That's the only compound we are using. 46s was with draft (46.6 was my fastest with lmp draft). Mid to high 47s are good lap times.

Yesterday was very funny testing with you guys, hearing you laughing during the race was awsome!! I started to laugh myself during the battle with jonnyb :)

Anyone has tried a wet condition? :nervous:

Tonight I can't play guys because I'm too tired... had a tough day at work, I'll try the viper tomorrow morning :)

I've done some running in the wet in an LMP, behaved itself fairly well until about 97% while running low downforce, much improved running high downforce. It was a good battle indeed, to misquote John Hindhaugh we aspire to be rivals on the track but friends off it =)

I'll be making it. I'll remove the turbo upgrade from the BMW too if needed. I should be on by 1600GMT trying to earn some credits for another event. Shoot me a message or a request if you want to practice before the event. 👍

Micho, The corvette has become available for Monza, Try that seeing as the BMW may already be spoken for come race time,

round 2, monza
drivers briefing

this must be seen by all drivers!

normally we wouldn't and shouldn't need to do this but monza is such an extreme place with high speeds that we felt that some extra information was needed to be implimented for this event, otherwise we some parts of this will be used to relay you guy's standard information on the up coming round,

1) referring to the op, if your name is highlighted on the list and you do not comment on thread notifying us of your attendance you will be removed from the op, we have had several tests and 1 event, some of you have turned up to the test, and not been to the race, while others have signed up and not attended at all, we can get full fields guys, don't waste our time,

2) new driver's or one off driver's will be required to use initial spec's, the spec update list is based on the driver's capabilities not the car, we know what the cars can do,

3) remeber the field does not get cleansed after qualifying, you will remain in your exact qualifying position, ( don't think it will matter at monza)

track information

circuit) autodromo nazionale monza/ change weather,
laps) 40+1 pace (41 total)
settings) weather 25%, weather changability 2, surface water 0%

monza specific rules)

1) gte cars, this needs to be stressed, it is not up to you to let the lmp car through, it is up to the lmp car to get past you, it is up to your discretion to allow an lmp car past but make sure you make you make your intentions clear to the lmp driver, this can be done by,
+) moving over early,
+) vocally on a head set,
+) slowing down,
monza only! (this isn't a requirement of racing her!)+) at monza only, if you are worried about the lmp drivier driving through you in a chicane then us, "the stewards" will allow you to cut the chicane, provided=
the following lmp driver is clear on your intentions,
you come to almost a complete stop as to not gain advantage on other gte cars,
however, as said above, it is up to the lmp driver to get past you and not impede you by doing so, please trust our judgements, and any incident that does happen we will adjudicate penalties as we see fit,

the two wheels on track rule, is exempt from the ascari corners, as if you run into the dirt at part 2 and 3 that will hinder you, however,
ascari entry, you are allowed to cut but if you kick up grass multiple times you will be penalized accordingly, (this is in play for the rest of the course)

changes to start procedure,
i am making changes to the starting procedure as of the replay's i have viewed on my profile and of youtube of rolling start event's that being on the front row is almost a hinderance so the following procedure will be used from monza thoughout the season,
+) cars will roll at pace speed around the circuit as usual, (changes)
+) the leaders will slow pace to bunch the field up prior to the final turn of the warm up lap,
+) once the field is bunched the leaders will proceed through the final turn onto the front straight,
+) when the 2 lead cars are on the painted grid lines it is up to the pole winner to start the race, they can start the race from any point on the painted grid lines to the start line,
+) if they cross the start line and haven't gone then the race is green, their loss,

i'n summary, the pole winner dictactes the pace lap, at pace speed, they have to ensure the field is bunched up, (near as makes no difference as some drivers will tail back to ensure their own safety in turn 1, once the leader gets to the painted grid slots its their choice to go, if they get to the start line and haven't gone then the race will also go green,
(bare in mind that these may change race to race, so suit the track we are racing on, these will be released in the driver's briefing one week out from the event,)

any queries just ask myself, memto or johnny, 👍

just ensuring that everyone see's the changes,

i'm aware kev 👍 But other's have signed up and never came back,

here is some onboard footage of how an lmp driver is expected to overtake gte cars while lapping them, this kind of driving is expected from all lmp drivers,

this is not how to pass gte cars and this will result in penalties,

reminder to all that everyone needs to see this prior to the race!

Hey Dave if Jonnyb agrees we can switch car? I'm ok with the BMW V12 :)

oh.. I see you already did it 👍

It's cool Gippone, if I'm supposed to be GTE steward it might make sense for me to actually race in the class! Besides the Viper's a pretty fun car =D

I'll be there tonight if I can use Zonda. Got another race starting at 23 gmt. I have to make that one. But a few others in WEC is in that race so we might be able to start a bit later

Final reminder, if you haven't added memto89 on PSN yet, do you soon as, he will be hosting.
