Did some running at Fuji F last night. A couple of friends of myne were there as well. 1:28.8 was my best with the R10 stealth @700hp 920kg with turbo 3. 1:28.7 was my best with the R8 '05 at the specs listed.

There a 8 LMP cars all of which are closely speced, as we have said before there will be no running of the r10 at all in this series.

You are not required to take the Jaguar mate, the litte * next your name means that you can potentially swap, but the only available full time car in GTE is Corvette,

Also Seth, you can take the R8 '05 if you wish,

We look forward to having you mate

Yo whats with the pms like attitude you give out, memto? When the cars aren't equal, the rules stay getting changed, you change your stance on cars being allowed, you changed the tire usage, you don't consult others on what they feel; it makes this series look shoddy. I say pms attitude because the direction is unclear. You give out these new car specs that changes everything, but only a few people get to know about them. So they're ahead of the curve because they've had the specs before anyone else.

Another funny thing is the fact that I mentioned the specs in the beginning and certain cars. Now thats tossed out and you don't even allow a car that is closer to the current real life ones. The first it is all good, your series your specs. Though I did say it would be tough to get the R10 to work, but I got it working. But not allowed? How do we know there won't be another huge swing in the rules? Why would people continue to run this series if its not solid? Then you post these goofy smart-ass replies because I want to use the car that I originally wanted? You claim its slow in the corners, well you just added over a 100lbs. to some cars and kept others at their minimum weight. What makes the Audi different? Is it because the 'testers' are slow in it? Well Im not, so why the change? Don't even reply with some comeback. I'm being honest with my questions, not trying to get a rise.

A test driver does not have to be blindingly quick. In fact it matters more if you are reliable and consistent in every car. I believe this mid season re-spec is a bit rushed (you know my views Dave).

And OF COURSE someone will have specs before others its called test drivers and driving. If there was a catastrophic failure when the whole field was testing, then it would look stupid. But if a "rabbit" car or turtle is detected early, its best these are sorted in private before people complain in public.

No car is way out there. There were specs at the beginning that were proven with other series running them successfully. Only minor tweaks were needed like a turbo, added or subtracted weight etc. Thats because peoples skill level, which was a main talking point for lmp's. Now it's something where all cars are equal instead of all drivers. Which was the specs at the beginning that I brought up.

i once tried to regulate the R10 for a championship, but it was impossible.. that car sux really bad.. and it's a shame :(

The former way was stupid and over the top difficult to maintain, after 3 rounds we discussed that the maintenance to have things that way was to difficult, and people started splipping by the way side due to other people being recognised first, thus when we come to the next event they were behind sometimes up to 2 seconds, It was not fair to give people additional power or reduce weight or both less the 10 minutes before a race, after 2 weeks of testing, this would eventually cause chaos, so things needed changing,

I agree with your views Furi, But the fact is that the cars weren't equal to begin with, as you experienced in the Pescarolo's, In my view no driver should be able to jump from one car to another and be 2 seconds up or down, the difference is to great, In all our views, this had to be done, Now I have tried all the cars at 3 different tracks, and spent multiple hours in all of them to get the best out of them to my driving style, The difference was inside .400 with all the cars, at Deep Forrest, Suzuka and Laguna,

These spec's weren't knocked up over night, they had been in development for almost a month, between all 3 of us, accross several different circuits, all cars were in the same time zone of .400 in different orders, they were originally meant for season 2, but with the maintenance a differences this had to be implimented immediately,

In my view, anyone can be a test driver, well almost, if you are consistent and can beat out the same time until the tires say "yeah mate, we can't do this no more" then you can spec cars, but if you can do that, and push the car to get some qually laps out of it that makes you a better test driver,

And this results in something no different to your GT-1 series, all cars are equal, yet their benefits can be exploited providing the driver car and travk are suited,

Thats why there is success ballast. All these cars can be made equal with tinkering. If drivers don't get the best from them, whats the difference?

I've tested both at Fuji Speedway GT, and the Jaguar was not only faster than the Lamborghini, but was also easier to drive and not as hard on the tires. Also, I can make it to the test.

I have a decent setup on that Diablo. It should be faster than the Jag. Its a straight line monster! If you wanna try it out compared to your tune I'll share it with you.

New lmp specs seem really close at the mo. To anyone moaning wait til you've driven with other people. It's surprising!

Something came up and I can't take part on practise today sorry guys :nervous: let me kown your times on Fuji GT I made a 1:24 in testing the new regs

Great test/race today guys, it was a blast.

I'm just going to put this out there lol. Due to my schedule, this is basically the only GTP series relevant at all to what I like, that I can race in, and I only have a couple months left in the US (going to grad school abroad) where I can really play at all anymore. So if anyone is a little bit lukewarm on running LMP that has a spot, and maybe races in several other series also.... you get what I'm trying to say. I'd be super grateful to have a spot on Saturdays. Sob story over and all that.

At this current rate of decline, I won't even bother with the next race... can't get the car working at all
