Fuji GT sucks :indiff:. Fuji F is the track the WEC runs IRL. Theres going to be major penalties for people abusing track limits if we run GT, Dave. Plus with the chicane added to Fuji F, it gives a great place to setup a pass without having to go side by side through a high speed right turn where someone is bound to get pushed wide.

Had we been able to use the 90's Fuji GT circuit from prologue that would be better again, people were extremely well behaved in the wet when it came to track limits, They know the penalty for it, Unfortunately because the Tilke group came and 🤬 everything sideways so all run off area's are open to abuse,

The thing is though, with the rule of returning to the circuit prior to the rumble strip ending, if this is adheared to there is no advantage,

If people do not have the patience to wait another corner before passing then there will be penalties too, that comes down to the attitude of the driver, nothing else,

We did a bit of testing around there the other day to see what its like with GT and LMP, and trust me its challenging and ALOT of fun ;)

I don't think so. I think it's bland and ruins a huge braking zone thats used as a passing opportunity as well. The GT track is never used in any form of motorsport, I know this because I follow Toyota who're the owners of Fuji. I think it's too easy and the chicane slows you down enough to have multi class action without having to worry someone is going to get punted.

I also prefer fuji F, the double hairpin part over the fast turn of the GT version, but i understand LMP cars have a little trouble on slow corners, specially cause of those rear tires ;)

About Spa, was a little too wet for my taste, it was a painful but interesting race, just what we all drivers need to enhance our experience.

Cheers to the stewards 👍

AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL!

Car's care currently going to be massively overhauled! New specifications for all, This will be finished by next Tuesday,

Hope its nothing serious. The cars are close as they are. I doubt my 908 will be the best at Fuji, I think the Toyota will be good with the top speed.

I think the GT version should be the one we use. The F layout is over-used and overrated.
Also, I demand an appeal and my points back.

I may have been misinformed here, I got a PM from John and Matt, stating that they were re-specing the cars to the current LMP1 specs, They may be a bit heavier too, but not much,

This is mainly to give the Pescarolo driver's a bit more tuning option with weight balance and should help the R10 as well,

@Braunracing88, You are entitled to an appeal, please PM your case to myself, Jonnyb1990 and Memto89, and we shall have it sorted by the next event,

Why was the race 70+ laps? and you only count to lap 44?!! :dunce:
Cause i finished the race ahead of chozza_32

The current weight of FACTORY lmps are 915kg irl. The ALMS lets lmp1 run at 890kg. The only lmp1 that can run under 900kg in game is the R10 stealth. The 908's minimum lowest weight is 930kg because Audi saying they had trouble staying @900kg with their R10 originally, so the ACO increased the minimum weight of lmps to accommodate them. This was back when the R10 was introduced and diesel technology was at its beginning for Audi.

Isn't its HP around 660hp?

Well, Toyota claim they had a disadvantage at Spa. And they had 550hp + 300hp boost. So Audi's R18 (for comparision sake) perhaps about 900hp.

The 908 IRL had 700hp approximately.

Toyota's engine probably makes 530-560hp, Audi's probably makes 540-600hp. Theyre running 'aggressive engine maps' according to the press. This cost them 5 laps per stint at Spa from 2012... 25 laps to 19/20 laps per stint. They also increased their pace... Pole 2012 was 2:01s, Pole 2013 was 1:58's! Obviously they've turned up the engines to get those times. In comparison the TS030 turned 2:00's in qualifying and 2:01s in race but went 22 laps per stint. Audi's race pace was 2:00's. That's why Toyota said there is definitely an advantage in diesel fuel and believe Audi's race pace was 'sandbagging'. I agree because theres much higher 'power density' in diesel fuel than petrol. The equivalence is off. Too bad GT5 doesn't represent the tire model correctly or the fuel usage/tank size or there would be some strategy involved with these aspects.

If you allow the R10, i would like to try the stealth again. I'm about equal with the 908 in the R10 stealth @563hp/900kg. I think I finally cured the snap oversteer.

How about we have an open test session at both Fuji layouts, then put up a poll in here to decide which layout we use in the next race?

I haven't played GT in like a year.... but this series looks like fun and I just graduated college so I figured I might actually have a tiny bit of free time. If there's room, you can count me for LMP, most likely in the Bentley Speed 8.

@Harvickfan, This has really blown up in the last 2 races, There really isn't much to offer other then a reserve drive, which has now come to a mass of 6 drivers, keep an eye on the thread, we will try fit you in where we can,

We will set something up next week where we can test it, but so far from what we have found is the gt track seems to give a lot more flow to the racing and also gives a lot more fun.... But we shall see at the test

I'd be happy to participate in test rooms and practice races and whatever and see if anything comes open on race days... I raced in a few series and I know that sometimes people don't show up ;)

edit: I'd like to be officially put down for the Bentley

Show em how its done in the Bentley! Those alms races we had were great! Youll walk this field in that car if you run at the regs on the first page. I tried out the stealth Audi at 563hp 900kg and ran a 2:04.7 at Spa. Top speed is equal to the Toyota (315kmh) but through sector 2 it loses almost 1.5 seconds. Gain about 3 tenths back in S3.

Plux is full time in the Bentley, highly unlikely anyone will wrestle it from him with major death!!!

New reg's coming, for both classes, this specing cars for people became an absolute mess and to difficult to keep track of,

Expect the R8 05,

I will take the R805 in a heartbeat if the Speed 8 is unavailable :)

That car is serious in the corners, but I expect lower hp and more weight to counter that advantage. Still think that would be great to use.

The cars are being re spec'd, Some cars will be replaced in both LMP and GTE,

There most likely won't be a position in LMP available for some time, LMP has 11 drivers with only 8 available positions,
