could be an idea but pole sitter in GTE will have to be onboard with that

What do any of the other GTE drivers think, a normal start with the LMP's or our own GTE start after the LMP's have done theres?

Im cool do either really, thought it might make it abit easier for us in GTE to see when the race will start, im sure most of the GTE class wont be able to see when the pole sitting LMP car starts the race, as we will still be in the chicane before the straight.

OK I will explain it tonight but we will do a separate gte and LMP launch..... LMP will launch at the straight before the ring and 1 min later at the same point..... The launch place is the sign that goes over the track going down the hill

I do like the idea of a separate grouping and start of the GTE cars because that's how it's done in real life here in the US ( ... keeping it realistic) :)

That being said, I haven't a clue as to where you intend to start the race. I perceive the entry point to the Ring to be the sharp left hand turn just prior to the normal Start/Finish line of the Nordschleiffe (alongside the pits there). There is no bridge across the track on the straight leading to this left hander so I'm confused. In all the other races I've done on this track configuration, the race has always started immediately after the chicane following turn 1. I definitely need more clarification here :dopey:

Right, the start point as I understand it, is the section of the track highlighted in green in the image bellow, the bridge being the sector timing gantry before the kink.

Race start will be 1pm PST and as with other S1 races, damage will be light and tyres are racing softs.

Is this series still looking for drivers ?
Are you looking for LMP or GTE? as we only have 1 drive in each class and there is word that GTE has been filled. if you want LMP then there is space

Medium tyres can be use from season 2 or also in the N24?
Soft tyres for just this race mate, meds start at season 2

I'll be here. :)
I'll be driving the Nissan Fairlady Z 👍
Kool mate i shall add you to the list

And to answer ANFD John has the place on the pic he posted, i will go through it all tonight anyway ;)

Might not be able to race tonight. Hurt my hand playing football and cant hold my wheel without it hurting. See you guys at the next event hopefully.

Thanks jonny I understand now were the race starts, I thought it was after the NGK chicane. maybe we should stick with normal start for GTE this race. but like ANFD says it would be good for season 2 if we did separate starts, like most other LMP/GT series do in real life.

Is the tire rule in the first post still correct? 40 minutes on Mediums, rest on Softs?

Looks like were getting a good turn out for N24 👍

The green hell is for true racers only, quitters wont last long here. I got a 5th place round here last night in a roadcar race, so im looking forward to bettering that tonight, cya in abit lads :)

On my way still need to find finally df # before race start. God it feels god to work on setup instead of getting everone together!

I'm going to have thunderstorms coming through for much of the race but I plan on staying in.

Even more confused now ... the picture of the track showing the green zone for starting is not the 24 hour circuit but rather the GP circuit. Now I'm not sure what track we're even running ?
