But what is this crap with standard gearbox

Purely and simply, my laziness... I hate spending time working on gearbox ratio's when ya can just get in and drive... plus same gearbox makes it closer to 'Arcade' but with setting adjustments...

EDIT: Got into 3:34's for T3 and promptly stuffed it in the same place as last time. :ouch: I know I'm losing a $hitload of time, in the series of 90* corners too... :guilty:

OKOK i get your point Hellnback, and since I havent seen you at the track since last year..... :) I will pick out my dog and get a regular one for tomorrow :dopey:

We thought you might ran over to the gt4 guys.Their all playing it now I guess

GT4??? I wish... Nah, I'ma Product Always Late region, and in New Zealand it's looking like either a late Feb-early Mar release, plus my DFP cockpit won't be built until then...

Man I'm rusty @ this...

HeinrichII, surely you must've heard of...

PAL = Product Always Late
NTSC = Never Twice Same Colour

And I'm getting my ass handed to me by the big round turns... stupid shrinking cirlces... I'm losing.. like seconds upon seconds in there :S

Oh man, the first three times around I was backwards in the grass and kissing wall with my back end. I've gotten to where I can handle it now though. Just need to get fast.

RacyBacy
I'm up for the modded mini race and anything else apart from the F1!

HeinrichII - I'm up for modding the evo! Or skyline or whatever. We could maybe use one of the race modded skylines if you want.

I had no competition last week (unless someone else was driving the Griffith 500 :scared: ) so I would like some this week. :sly:

I ran the Griffith too, so we'll see... my first race on WRS, been racing Gt3 since it came out. Haven;t seen the results yet, should be interesting!

Well guys, I am officially part of the WRS community! I PM'd my qualification time to Kent yesterday and he replied today telling me that he added my name to the Driver List. Looks like I have some SERIOUS work to do, as I am in Division 3 :boggled: :D
I was hoping my time was a little better than that, but hey, at least I have the right attitude: I want to improve.

Now, I feel sort of sorry (for myself, of course) joining this week, as the race will take place in "Complex String II" (as if the regular forward one wasn't bad enough, lol!). Now, being that I only have the forward version of Complex String and being that I NEVER bothered to run a full lap on it, it looks like I have even some MORE SERIOUS work to do, if I want to be able to provide a decent time: I have to do the Arcade races to unlock Complex String II and then starting an "Enduro" session on it with at least 4 or 5 different cars... sounds really appealing, but it HAS to be done! (You are not getting away with this one, TheWizard) :D

Oh me, what a perfect time to join the series... :indiff: :scared:

The Wizard.

My verry first lap of this course...

T1: 1'33.5
T2: 2'47.0
T3: 4'00.6

What car you say?

Acura CL 3.2 type S

Ah, how front drive, 450 hp, T5 tiers, no aids, and a the X button just dont mix. No way i'm running an FF this week. This was just for kicks. Maybe an ITR but... nah no way. This thing was a blast though. just dont give it any gas in the corners. I'm watching the free run screen right now and man the AI cant drive this thing.

It just had to stop and back up.

Now on to My 22B.

Actually, I haven't...but it's really funny

Btw I prefer by loads Complex String II than the regular one, not sure why though, maybe I take the turns better

Ran two laps in the F094/S, and made a full nine second improvement over my previous best (only some small setup tweaks were made).

Before that I ran 3 laps in the Z06, I'll post sectors tomorrow, I'm tired so I can't be bothered to watch the replay. The brakes feel a bit sluggish too.

And welcome to the WRS, Wizard!

Welcome to the WRS The Wizard you will find that there is stiff competition which ever division you race on.

I purchased a new Mustang and just added a sport tranny with nothing else @ 355hp.
The ride is interesting enough to keep me preoccupied for many more laps :tup . 4’12.5 in me second lap. Drifting through the 90’s is one of the best parts :)

OK. My first serious time. also on my first lap.

Impreza 22B, (full tune of course) T5 tires, aids off.

T1: 1'25.256

Just before the second trap i made a nasty mistake, coming out of the last roundy i hit the gas and slid the rear out which put me on the inside and facing the wrong way for the following left hander. I nearly had to come to a complete stop but i kept it clean and crawled through at an unbeliveable 15 mph.
T2: 2'35.460

Naturaly that killed my third trap as well
3'43.430

Ok. Now on to the Camero.

[EDIT] nevermind, the Z28 is slower, everywhere.

On to the Skyline.

p.s. are most of you guys sticking with the tiers you have on your car or are you equiping T8's

I'm running either T8, Sports, or Sims this week...

My MR2 GT-S, which ran pretty good, was on T8 tires...

I'm still hating those circle turns alot..

Nissan Skyline GT-R V spec II (R34), full tune, T5 tiers, aids off.

My first lap.
T1: 1'22.477
T2: 2'29.373
T3: 3'36.538

Oh. Black with black rims, this is the second absolute most beautifull car in the world (second to the Diablo VT. Also in black.) And I love that sound. This isnt nearly as hard as i thought it would be. I mean, dont get me wrong i know I'm not blazing the course. I'm running far from proper racing lines through most of it, but I figured I'd have trouble just getting around it pushing for a good time. Even without aids it's not that hard.

I may stick with this car and try to improve and/or slap on some T8's. Or just go F1.

Pink_the_Floyd
Pfff sissies, you all want to race the F1 cars??That's a challenge too easy this week.

Toyota GT-ONE: Here I come!!

How about a R390 vs GT1 race? Full tune T8's (As the Nissan is what Im running)

New best clean laps for me...

Mini fully modified:
T1: 1'38.950 (seen 1'38.1xx and 1'37's are totally possible)
T2: 2'49.759 (I suck in the circles  )
T3: 4'02.553

Escudo (with Jake's settings ;) and my gears and TCS at 3):
T1: 1'06.721 (about same)
T2: 2'06.344 (gained 6 tenths)
T3: 3'04.854 (gained over 2 seconds  )

Touge Master
there is stiff competition which ever division you race on.
I agree to that :)

Droved the EVO VII GSR a few laps and found it sooo slow compared to my VI RS :D I might try the Civic Type-R.... anyone want to join? :dopey:
Back on the EVO first tough....

That aint bad Tuff! 👍 I tried the Escudo tonight and pretty much achieved what you did. Driving out there alone on this track in the Mustang has becoming less exciting near 4‘05.5. I get in the Escudo for one lap and I don't wanna drive a slow car no more!

Ok Bolloks, I’ll take the GTONE aka Sparky….

I couldnt resist. I tried belive me but. I just had to. I tried the F686/M and, man oh man. thats just...Man! i had to leave the aids on for this one.

T1: 1'05.472
T2: 1'58.296
T3: 2'54.797

This thing is a hoot to drive. I screwed up once or twice so their's way more in their. You just have to be carefull where you put your tiers if you know what I mean. The hardest part is staying off the rumble strips.

I tried the GTONE, the R390, the F094S and the F094H.
Screw those F1 cars, I can't drive those twitchy things to save my life. Didn't drive a single clean lap in either one of them.

2nd lap on both the Toyota and the Nissan GT1 cars were both clean, so I stopped there because I wanted to try the F1 cars out also  . 1st lap in the Toyota I got so sideways (and kept going) during the box section that it actually flashed the "Wrong Direction" text on the screen.

Best clean laps:
Toyota GTONE
T1: 1'05.757
T2: 2'00.903
T3: 2'56.381

Nissan R390 GT1:
T1: 1'05.844
T2: 2'01.326
T3: 2'55.235

Tried the Mini yesterday evening, and on first lap, T3 = 2'57.076  with lots of improvement expected 👍

👎 OK, that was in the hybrid Mini but the replay is really fun.

Then I jumped in the full modded -legal- Mini and on first lap T3 = 4'06.xxx
There's plenty of time to enjoy the landscape while racing, but it's also easy to miss a braking and end in the grass/sand/wall/whatever lies in front.
I'll definitely stay in the little car for this week.

tuff240
in the Toyota I got so sideways (and kept going) during the box section that it actually flashed the "Wrong Direction" text on the screen.
Or perhaps you're actually racing on CS instead of CS II and the game desperately tries to tell you.

i think i will take my perfect red/white polyphony001 with 0km on the clock and see what it can do. Or I can take my black 001 with 2200km on the clock, hm which one

I'm running the FTO LM at the moment,

T1: 1'08.1
T2: ???
T3: 3'01.x

This is really fun, although I've run CS II only once

Hugo Boss
I'm running the FTO LM at the moment,

👍 That's the car I'll also be using for this race. I just love it to bits :P

Haven't done a time with it though. Still using slower cars to get to know the track. Maybe I'll take the FTO out for a spin tonight...

I'm also definitely gonna try a time in a Poly, and I think I'm also gonna give the 'Fully tuned Mini-challange' a try... Damn... I'm gonna have to do a lot of racing this week :D
