New splits for the Vette, 1'29.703/2'35.970/3'44.114
I'll probably be submitting that one, since the lap is squeaky clean, and I now want to focus on my efforts in the Mini and the F094/S. And now I'm off to run some more laps in the F1 car.

Yeah it must've been very boring when the Mini won the Monte Carlo rally outright on three different occasions ;)

To each, his own... You like the Mini, that's fine. I am not here to argue about your taste about cars versus my taste about cars. I was just saying it would be boring for ME... :D
Nothing personal, nothing against the Mini, or other cars/people. I am a (relatively) calm person, and I don't/didn't mean to start a "my car is better than yours" thread. That's not what I am here for, I was just discussing my opinion about what car I would like/wouldn't like to take for a spin in the Complex String II track for this week's race  Have a drink on me! :D

Tuff and TheWizard, here are my settings from the Denso...

Thank you, Hugo Boss :D
I will surely give them a try, to see if I can improve my time.

Will keep you all updated.

Just had another run in the 94/s and got my T3 down to 2'37, but stillno clean lap :(. Tomorrow I will try and get a clean lap, no matter how slow :sly:.

Still seating in the full modded Mini, with a best T3 at 4'04.1.
I hate wasting the lap in the squares : almost 4 minutes racing for nothing.
I don't know how I can possibly break the 4 mins barrier but that's my goal.

Need any help on the settings? I ran some Mini earlier today, and saw consistent 1'38 T1's.

My best T1 is at 1'39.1
Any advice on settings would be welcome (of course), though I don't expect settings to be the key on such a car/track combo.

New F1 splits (most likely not clean, I think I cut once in the hills) at 1'01.580/1'49.043/2'39.226

And I'm sure lots of people can relate to this. So I was trying to run some more laps in the F1, trying to beat the splits above with a clean lap. And most of you probably know that driving F1s at the limit requires a great deal of concentration. So, to my great annoyance, my dad walks into the room, and stands beside me and watches me, throwing me off. I give a good disgusted look, trying to tell him I want him out, but he continues to watch. I tell him that what I am doing requires lots of concentration, to which he replies 'Too bad, I'm gonna watch for a while'. And as if that was not bad enough, he starts wandering around the room, doing random annoying things, like rubbing his foot on the floor, and playing with the volume on the stereo (incredibly annoying). Eventually he left, but needless to say, I did not make any fast laps during that time.

Dads do that. Mine use to all the time... live by myself now, makes life easier, except my damned heater is broken, so its like.. cold as fark outside of my bedroom now :P

Be happy, I don't even have an F1 to run laps with :indiff:

I will try and find time to run a few laps on this tomorrow 👍

I will be running in the full mod mini :dopey: 👍

I just improved my best lap on the F1 by about aproximately 1.2 secs:

T1=1'00.453
T2=1'47.054
T3=2'35.666

Again, improved on sections I didn't do well on the previous best, but I had also a few miss brakes but still it was a clean one. It's hard to drive when you are sneezing, coughing and with a 38.5° headache :indiff:, damn virus I got :(

The arcade mini is so feakin slow :dopey: . . I moved the seat back and put my foot on the dash with my arm resting on the passenger seat. Had to quit in the first turn is was so unbearably slow. :yuck:

As I was finishing up my Escudo session I discovered a faster setup right at the end. I didn’t just get into 2’55. . I made it to 2’44.9 :scared: . Even after putting it in the dirt in the slalom I still managed to get a blistering time for the combo. Hope I can reproduce that again pre-deadline. . The time I have now is respectable and I doubt I could realistically better it by more then 2 seconds no matter how many miles I run anyway.

Ahh ... finally got to run a few cars :D

RX-7 RZ (Yellow), fully modified (434hp), except Stage 1 Turbo, Sports Tires
1'27.361
2'35.764
3'45.321

Trueno S.S., fully modified, T8 tires
1'23.202
2'27.874
3'35.049

Mugen S2000, fully modified, T8 tires
1'25.724
2'30.375
3'36.688

The S2000 was my favourite. More time left in all three.

@azuremen, is the RX-7 the same car/tuning you ran? I didn't expect to be that far ahead  Do you have any of your fully-modded Trueno laps to post?

More to come later :mischievous:

Yeah, I thought you weren't being completely serious :D But neither was I... I put a lot of smilies in my post too, maybe even too many (if I put too many, people might start taking me "not seriously" here ;)) Anyway, I was just making sure that my/your/our intentions were clear to me/you/both of us... :D Here, have another drink  ;)
Speaking of which, where's my Heineken? :sly:

Later.
The Wizard.

Luxy, that was like my 3rd lap around the course ever... :D But I can get some fully modded Trueno laps out there, give me a bit.

That, and I do suck at this course... the cirlces absolutely murder me... and I get bored fast on it. :indiff:

Also, hit me up on MSN or AIM Luxy, you might make a decent driver for this course... :dopey: That and easier dicussion on the times and stuff :P

Heinrich II can i Borrow your F094/S settings, even though im runnin poly 001 it should pretty much be the same. Ive seen T3 of 2:37.xxx but unfornatly not a clean lap. Gonna try a bit tonight, but id love to see some settings posted for the F1 or shown a good place to look. Thanks

594hp p/w ratio 2.0, looking forward to your times in the 22B 👍

Ok now some serious times, dont wory you dont have any catching up to do.

T1: 1'21.349
T2: 2'26.131
T3: 3'30.932

I went to the garage to check my HP and P/W ratios, come to find after this it had droped to 566HP. P/W was still 1.9 though. Hey i'm it division 2 what do you want?:) Not bad though if I do say so myself.:sly:

Now off to the 94/S. and alongside small fryz, any Tips or settings would be much appreciated.

A really really bad night.

Tonight I went to my usual bar.
I'm in this place all the time and tonight was the first ever (and hopefully last) night like this.

Walk in, order drink, wait for pool table...
Get a table and start playing against 2 fellas I have never seen.
Mike P and Paul (that's all I know).

After whipping these guys in a few games we all got friendly and as the night went on the pool table got a challenge or two.
Eventually a different group won the table.

With a whole new group of people crowding my old table eventually someone let a comment slide.
Something rude, but not audible.

I am a blunt person and said "excuse me."
This led to nothing at the moment but 15 minutes later a youngster wearing a hat and camo jacket made direct contact with me in a hostile way.

I checked it out by asking him what he had said... He replied with a long-winded speech about never looking his way again and never doing this or that (full of profanity).
(mean-while, my brother is blending-in next to me with fists clenched ready to brawl)

Being the person I am, I collected myself and went to my bartending friend (clay aka flip).
Mr. Clay (as I call him) said not to sweat and if anything started again, just say something and they would be out.

I went back and smoothed it over with the camo fella... Blood boiling... but all was good.
(clay also walked over and made sure homey wasn't starting it up with me)
(1 fight avoided )

However, at this time my 2 new "friends" (mike and paul) came over, asked a few questions and then suggested we all got out of the place.
We all leave (my brother is always with me).

After finding a place to hang-out my bro, my "friends," and I all do our thing for a little while then leave that spot and go back to the bar.

When we got back to the bar it was the usual entrance followed by a short coversation with my brother.
This was when mike and paul come walking out of the bathroom... We all start talking and eventually paul and I get into a side conversation where I mention what a badass this dude is (fighter in matches organized by a big new orleans bar).

That's when he asked why I would tell him that to which I replied, "I am just letting you know what I'm thinking... I know your bad so you would never need to worry about someone like me wronging you... I would never wrong you."

He gets heated suddenly and says "what, you just crossed a line... You're gonna say some stuff like that...
Is this about the envelope in my pocket that has $400 in it?

I had $460 and now I only have $100... and you're the one that handed me that envelope a minute ago!

I had never touched this envelope or touched his money.

Freaking out inside but trying to remain calm, I do my best to calm him down and explain that I would never do anything like that...
Mike is next to him saying "check your pockets blah blah blah"
Paul is still going crazy and slowly working his way into a frenzy.

Paul walks away quickly and mike says not to worry.
We all (bro included) walk to the door and see where paul is... Blake (my brother) and I say, "mike we're leaving."

Mike says "cool, I'm gonna take him somewhere..."

Blake and I make for the door and after trying 2 different doors we find the perfect covert way out the back.

Dash to the car and we are on our way out (that corrolla can beat the gt-one I swear it!).

2 miles down the road, heart beat going crazy... We are safe and our 2 new "friends" are far behind (hopefully forgetting us).
(2 fights  )

God it was scarey, thank god blake and I were not hurt.

I mean it, I was scared tonight and this "paul" was an ex-convict that had spoken of his guns and knives all throughout the night ( don't forget that he's a bar fighter too).

It was a bad night.
Like I said... Thank God.

Now blake and I are at home safe.

The end. :nervous:  :ill: :scared: 👎 🤬

And that is why I am glad I can't and don't go to bars...

Still, those kinda situations... where you haven't done anything, but the guy thinks ya have, and you aren't sure what he is thinking. Those are scary. Got into some of those at frat parties, big footballers and stuff, and just like "Oh sweet Jesus... I need to get away soon... before he smacks me with a fifth..."

At least nothing bad happened really. No one got hurt, and nothing was broken.

Wow! Alcohol is a funy thing. To think of what could have happened, simply because the guy mis counted/misplaced his money. Glad to here everyone's fine.

jeez kent, glad you and your bro are ok :scared:. I hope I never have any trouble like that when im old enough to venture into bars. Kent what cars are you running this week and whats ya T times?.

Inferno, learn to ride the rumble strips as much as possible and be smooth, find out where excatly you are loosing time and then i may be able to help you :).

Castrol Supra:
Working on 2'55.5 clean at T3.

:D

BTW, I'm going to copy that post into the opinions or rumble strip.

Also, thanks for expressing your concern.
I really was scared and wasn't until afterwards that I thought about all the violence, weapons and felony charges Paul was talking about!

Sounds like an exciting night Kent :scared: . . . Pool, bars, drinking, ex-cons and missing moneys in envelopes. For a moment there I was thinking this was some sort of confidence game, but I can’t seem to figure out the angle or score exactly.

Well, sorry to hear about your crazy night, Kent. But, like everybody else here, I am glad to hear you and your brother made it home alright 👍

About the race... This track is driving me crazy... I made quite a few good laps in my Denso Supra, but they all end up pretty close to each other... If I gain some time in one section, I inevitably end up losing it in the next session :indiff: This means there is a lot of room for improvement still, but if I try too hard to make "THE" lap (and not just "another" lap) I always end up breaking the "2 tire" rule :ouch:

I think I am going to call it a night for now, and try again tomorrow. Maybe the new day (and some rest) will bring new hope to my quest for the perfect lap :D

@ tuff240 and Hugo Boss: After countless laps, I have to say that what works best for me is my own settings (as far as the car handling/behaviour goes), as it matches my drive style the best (I drove 1553.0 miles on the thing after all :sly: ). However, the gear ratios that currently work best for me are the ones suggested by Hugo Boss (sorry tuff240, nothing personal here), as they seem to give some extra boost to the car/use the power band a little more efficiently (you should give them a try too, tuff240, and see if they work better for you as well) - (I drive manual, though, so they might not match your drivestyle).

Also, since I had 1553.0 miles on my old Denso Supra, I went the "extra mile" and raced the "All Japan GT Championship" (not all of it, just enough races to insure me victory) again and got me a new one :D (I figured, the hell with it, I might as well have the full 970HP 👍 ) Fortunately, prize cars are already broken in, so they are at their best, ready to run! This shaved another couple of seconds (cumulative) from my various best T# times...

Well, tomorrow, if all goes well, I will actually post some clean splits...

I needed a break from this course...

I ran a T3 of 3'53.xxx in my full mod Vitz 1.5 RS, and that was all right...

This long course... its just to regular... it gets boring.. fast. So my break is the Trial Mountain Enduro... with an MR2 GT-S. Slapped some T2's on it and actually having some comp with the NSX Type S Zero... though its pitting 3 times as often... damned fast thing. Still, I'm faster betwen the T1 and T2 timers... actually cutting a full second off the difference there, only to have 2 or 3 added from the back stretch and the hill climb.

Anyhow, after that, I need to decide on my three cars to use...

im gonna hop into my fresh poly 001 and see what the extra hp does :)

I was able to get back to this now and beat my fastest lap time by .6 within 5 laps cold which surprised the heck out of me! I put at least 220 miles into this the other day yielding laps below expectations. :guilty:
The run is sloppy as all hell and just passes as clean. . I cringe watching it :scared: .
I’ll try to make it more pleasing to the eye if I can. . Maybe I’m just less nervous, cos’ by the end of full session in this thing you’re shaking at the line. :nervous:
