Took a break to watch the Karate Kid Part II, Great Flick! Then went back in my Vette and dropped another .7 off my time, eventhough my splits were only slightly better in T1 and T2, so that means.......;)

T1 - :31.447
T2 - 1:09.912

Figured I'd try out the Volvo, WOW is that different to say the least. I ran about 8-10 laps and am behind tuff's time just a hair over a sec as of t2, I couldn't stand it anymore...lol. So I got into a BMW M3 GTR....aaahhhhh!!!!!! Much like the vette, only better in GT4 atleast. I'm about .4 faster in the Beamer, I"ll be racing this car agin soon enuf... I'm done for the day, here's the spilts:

T1 - 31.214
T2 - 1:09.373

I'm going to have to try another production car as the RX-7 isn't going to be very competitive time wise. :(

New splits from about 1/2 hour of trying

R390
DFP
No aids

T1 30.174
T2 1,07.052

Not putting a lot of time in this week, too busy

I've just been watching jenson in qualifying for the british grand prix which inspired me to drive a little more aggressively and I almost beat my previous time by 1 whole second, I span out at the end of the previous lap so I couldnt get as much speed as I could have down the starting straight.

Here's my new sector times:
T1: 0'30.941
T2: 1'08.273

Still room for improvement!

Car: Lotus Carlton '90
Power: 397bhp
Weight: 1489kg
T1: 33.771
T2: 1'14.830

I enjoyed this week, it was fun getting the car sideways over the crests.

Yes, why?

Try about 5 honest laps with it off and compare your time then, u might be a little surprised. But beware if u turn the tcs off in some cars it is a real challenge to keep from spinning the wheels out, like oh maybe the F1 car....lol. But the R390 grips well enough u don't really need to drive any different this week.

Had a lap sathurday and couldn´t post yesterday, lost clearly 0.3 on the whole lap. =/

will improve it today tho.

T1 - 0'29.207
T2 - 1'04.543 - could be a 04.3 just puting right

Just wanted to stop in and encourage you all to keep up the good racing.

Also, my real motive...

Please include your divisions with your time submissions... Car hp/kg wouldn't be a bad idea either!

Good luck with the race everyone.

Don't try to change him ace, he's very stubborn, and for every argument we have for no tcs, he'll find a way to argue for it. Besides, let him be slow ;).

New splits:

T1- 29.564
T2- 1:05.618

R390 NO TCS

Powerslid through the right after the tunnel on the hill:crazy:, lost ALOT of time and ruined what probably would have been my submit lap, but kept it clean so I kept going. Beat my old time by .5. Still tons of room to improve, but I'll try that tomorrow, time for sleep now.

A little improvement for me, finally reached my goal and i am pretty happy with what i have right now although during the replay i definitely saw a couple places where i could improve. But then to get the rest of the lap together is something else!

New T splits:
T1: 0'29.440
T2: 1'04.901

I had a really good 3-4 lap stint where my T2's were right around 1'04.8 - 105.0 but then right after those few laps i spent the next bunch crashing and missing corner entrances completely lol.

I find it really amusing that i seem to do my best lap times after a long day of work. And right now it seems that the longer the better! Had a 10 hour shift today, was dead tired for the last hour or so, but within 5 laps i was equaling my previous best lap times.

I wish I could run the GT Mode fully modified Volvo version against you guys in the arcade cars. Fully tuned (285hp/1568kg's) in GT Mode it runs 30-31's/1'08-1'09's.

Pretty close to your times Jump_ace.

After working at it for 2 days to try and beat my time, not only do I beat it today, but that that again on the very next lap...Argh.

T1 30.9
T2 1:08.something

I've been trying to get 1:08 all week, and finally I've done it. There is at least another .5 in that T2 because I pulled a full opposite lock slide coming down the hill after the tunnel....Looks cool on the replay though....

I'll submit my time tonight.

Also can anybody from Australia (Or anywhere for that matter) tell me what time the submission time is on the east coast (melbourne), I always thought it was tuesday morning, but maybe it's wednesday something as thats when I always see the times go up...

i had one final go this afternoon before i went out and i bet my time again to a time that i'm reasonably happy with

T1 29.096
T2 1'04.346

one time, i had a t2 of 1'04.061 (i'm not kidding) i then took the next corner slowish, lost .1, then the next corner, lost .05 (so i was still up a couple of car lengths going into last corner), but then i tried to push it to the max on the last corner, and fluffed it totally, as soon as i did that, i imediately turned it off, in disgust.

here is a picture of the car coming extremely close to the wall just afta T2, this particular lap was .1 faster than the time i will submit, i havent deleted it yet, but it looks as if i no doubt touched it somehow, even though the data logger indicated no apparent speed loss, so hence, i havent submitted it, as its too close to call

I will try it. My problem is I don't have a wheel, I am using DS2 and throttle modulation is near-impossible without TCS. Jacques Villeneuve I'm not.

And hey, I finally turned off ASM this week after running Weeks 11 and 12 with it on. And if I remember correctly, Mr. Div 1, I beat you in Week 11... :ouch: :sly:

The best way to spot wall contact is the 'G-meter' that you can turn on in the display options, a sudden spike sideways is easier to spot than a loss of speed in the data-logger!

I use Tuesday midnight (Aus EST) as a rule of thumb.

I won't have any time for any further racing for this week's race, so I'm submitting my time now. Had a last minute change of car, though :) Still not using the R390, but while doing some GT-mode racing, I came across the Shelby Series 1 Super Charged. Never considered this car for this race, but I was so supprised by the good ride in GT-mode, that I instantly tried it out for this race.

Quick-tuned it to 383 HP and 1250 kgr and on the first outing it blew my time with the BMW M3 GTR by almost a second :dopey:

T1: 31.923
T2: 1:10.030

C you next week maybe

After missing completely last week's 10 lap race due to vacation here and there, I gave this a go yesterday afternoon and this morning reaching what I thought was a "good" time...

But then I saw Luxy's leaderboard and I saw T2's into the 1'04's and I nearly collapsed :D

Well, I thought I almost reached my limit with my 1'06.2xx but now I know I have to get at least into the 1'05's before being happy with my time.

Here are my splits:

T1: 0'29.836
T2: 1'06.207

I know there are at least 3 or 4 more tenths for me, as I saw T1's of 0'29.6xx and 0'29.5xx multiple times and even some T2's of 1'06.0xx...

I will try some more tonight and tomorrow morning, before giving up...

Later.
The Wizard.

hey, i've just perfected my setup so it doesnt strain my neck or anything now, its soooo comfy and im sure I can easily beat my previous times. I know this is kinda off topic but here's a pic:
setup6qi.jpg

EDIT: Oh, btw LUXY, I dont use a DS2, check my sig. You could probably save space by calling it a JTWF1 or something.

i had one last go and i bet the suspicious dirty lap by .010 and its clean, i only made one noticable mistake throughout the whole lap and that was the first corner, i absolutely nailed the last corner, really happy with the time, which i will submit to kent now, heres the splits

T1 29.134
T2 1'04.306

c u all in the results and use gear 5 for the double right b4 t1, gear 5 4 the hilly section, 2nd gear 4 the hairpin, 3rd gear 4 the 2nd corner after T2, and 5th gear 4 the last corner
