Week 13: Correcting An Error

Just did some laps in a standard Beetle 1100.

T1 50.1
T2 1:54.4

The only problem is it is underweight, a few more laps and I know I'd be onto a winner!

In all seriousness, I'm down in the T2 1:08s now. Woo. But I can not get that uphill chicane as fast as my previous ghost, I'm 3 car lengths up coming into it, and 1 car length down coming out of it...Arghh...My T1 is currently 30.9, so at least a 30.5 will be possible 👍

Well I think I've spent enough time on this task, I have a fairly good time (*I think*) and I have something new to play with in GT4.

My friend and I today went out and bought an S-Video connection for the PS2 and so it now plugs into my groovy new widescreen monitor. And seeing as though I'm now in a seated position playing GT I have cracked out the wheel I got for my birthday a couple of months back.

Wow!!! Why didn't I do this earlier, driving with a wheel is intensely absorbing, I used to drive with chase-cam on and with a wheel you can't beat the in-car view. I also put some headphones on and I am now in the game it feels

I'm gonna try this kind of driving for a while methinks.

Hehe, I am a nocturnal driver as I am faster after midnight than during day.
It's 2:30 AM in Toronto and I will call it a night now. I was quicker by drifting in some of the corners which is strange beacuse I don't know how to drift.

Sorry to be impatient but LUXY! can you pleeease update your provisional board? it's embarrassing having a "1'15.xxx" t2, that was in the day of my first ever lap in the Nismo R32 S-Tune lol.

i tried it out with mediums on the rear and softs at the front, and it makes a pretty big difference, i had a t1 of 1'04.132 with that setup, i will try some more later, c if i can beat my current lap which is suspiciously dirty

You could just do that 2 Lap Rally a few times, that gives you a 300,000 car to sell, you can even B-Spec it with your fastest car you have since it's tarmac. It only takes about 5 minutes per 300K that way....You'll have a R390 in no time.

Or just sell all the crap prize cars you got....Like all the GT40s...They're a great car and all, but I have at least 9 of them....


You could also just boycott the R390 like myself and a few others are doing. Come on, it's cool . (Just don't use a Skyline or I'll cry...)


On another note, I'm one of the fastest non-R390 drivers on Luxys leader board! Wooo! Which means I'll only be second last this week....In front of the Volvo of course....

I don't have the run on my mem card anymore, I ran about 12 different combos on El capitan and Laguna Seca one night when I had some time to drive, and I submitted all my times to GT.de and GTPlanet's databases. After that I archived 'em onto my PC. I can send you the Max Drive replay if you feel like chasing it around for awhile. There should be some time left to gain, as I didn't spend more than 30 minutes on any one combo. If you want to take a look at the Volvo run or any of the others just PM me your email and I'll ship it over. I don't know what run, if any, I'm going to submit for the WRS Week 13 yet.

@ Exelero, I'm still waiting on a fast lap submission for the teams event from one person as of today. I'm going to try and finalize and post the team results tomorrow morning if possible. If I don't get the final fast lap time by tonight, I'll just score a zero for that particular driver and get everything finalized and the results posted up in the teams thread.👍 .

Just wondering, as my teamate didn't post a time (Well it wasn't on the leader board), will my time still go up some how? Maybe my time and the worst time? If not, could you just glue all the people whose teamates didn't submit a time, times together, some how, and make it so I win?

I'm going to try and pair up drivers who lost thier teammate as fairly as possible, but the results for week 11 will not count towards the total, because that was the basis for the pairings. I'll try to make it as fair as possible so that those who lost a teammate can at least compete against the others who lost their teammate as well. Everyone who was in the teams event will get some kind of scoring, but I can't promise you a first place of course.

Forgive me for asking the obvious, but if you re-team people and then zero out all their scores ... what's the point? I would be better off being a team of "1" and not having trig's score added to my own than to be repaired with someone else and have both scores wiped out.

hey i have a quick question. Are we allowed to run tires other than softs? because i think i could pull a better lap time with softs on the front and mediums on the rear, as i like to drift, but it says in the rules that the tires are supposed to be softs.

I started WRS in division 2 and then got moved up so i guess someone just forgot. Guess when your name isin't holl01 or hot604boi you get forgotten

Sure, email it on over whenever it's convenient. I ran it for 1+ hours last night and I'm still just over 1 second behind you. I can see .5-.8 in my lap, but I don't know where you found the extra .3 or more.

I went once, but it was probably a fluke. Either I just tap the gas in rapid succession to balance the car or like you said, let off a little.

Yeah, now I have my 3rd teammate in as many weeks? What's going on? It would have been better if I had just left it alone from the beginning and run by myself, right? I wish my "teammates" who agreed to run the team event had actually followed through with it.

I'm glad I don't have my heart set on competing in the BC...but even if I did I doubt my times would hold up to give me a spot. So I guess that makes this all a moot point. I just got a new project at work and my game-playing time will be decreased substantially.

I all comes down to the fact that my Week 12 results aren't hurt in the overall leaderboard, so all's well. 👍

You can, but I find you just end up with some huge wheelspin when you come over the crest and the car gets unloaded. If you try to get to the very left before the corner and don't make many movements until you're going downhill. But by then I find you're abit offline and to get back and hit the apex you just end up sliding it and losing speed while you're catching it. It's better to just have a slight let off, so you can exit the corner on full thottle to get the maximum exit speed.

But I'm sure someone could launch a beautiful slide over the apex and keep speed, while keeping it tight enough to get to the far right for the optimal line for the left sweeper.

Its easy to get over the hill without letting go...atleast for me , I just hug as close as I can to the mountain without touching 👍 ....(and i still loose time )
