Yeah that right-left is a killer! Often I end up taking it entirely on the grass thus voiding a good lap. I find the real killer is the mountain though, I don't know how many times I've ended up with too little traction going over the top and ending up in the sand...I'm getting better at it though.

Yeah. The other spot where I screw it also, is the corner before T1 and before the tunnel. When I enter this corner very fast but correctly, I always end up touching the mountain a little, screwing my entire lap...

Amen brother!!! I had a corker of a lap that upon review in photomode revealed a scrape in that damn tunnel. The whole track is full of little tricky bits like that. The two lefts after the hairpin can be tricky, particularly the bump on the apex of the second one, has put me into the sand on more than one occasion!

I only choke in that kind of situation when I realize I'm in front of the ghost due to the fact I completely missed the braking/turn in zone.

I kinda like chasing my ghost, I choke when I'm in front of him early

LOL! Are we the same person. I choke like you, when I'm in front, but I like chasing, but chasing do not mean really good final time (except if you messed up with the ghost which I'm afraid I didn't).

Yeah, you're right... this section of the track, I can't really go around it easily... I always have differents lanes, I'm not constant at this track. I need some help here, maybe I can gain half of a second there.

Hmmm...I *could* have been cloned at birth, maybe you are my clone mkay?!? I find a good way to take it is to have the throttle at half as you go round it and put the power down as you approach the second apex, but like I said, sometimes it results in a beach holiday.

Lol!
Okay, so no brakes, coz me I was accelerating at 50% , then 100%, 140 km/h top speed near the second apex, then brake to 115 and immediately accelerate after, @ 100%.

That is maybe the wrong way to do it :(

I just sliced a few tenths off of my best lap time but it was sooooooo scruffy! I seriously overshot the right hairpin at the bottom of the hill after that long long left hander but luckily got past my ghost on the tricky double left after that.
Props to you Casio, I could never do that many laps non stop without the FFB wearing me out. I'm really enjoying this week's race, It's also a good chance to get some good points seeing as there are a few people not using the R390.

I like to turn off my ghost replay. It's distracting to be either in front or behind the ghost car.

Any tips on taking the section between the hairpin and sector 2. I can't get into the 1'06...

smaug terrible

I turn the ghost of too, when im right behind him on the entrance to a corner it just blocks my view.

And the bit after that hair pin, I'm still trying to aquaint myself with that. What are you doing on it at the moment? I stick to the left at the exit of the hair pin and go flat out throught the first left kink and then overshoot the second left a little so I run out nice and smooth onto the outside rumble strip.

I hate to do it this early, but time submitted. I will not be able to do more runs. I will not be during next week's WRS for I will have no power and a lot of clean-up to do. Hurricane Dennis is forcasted to make landfall sunday afternoon as a CAT 4 approximately 50 miles or less from my home (if it stays on it's current track).

@ bleurabbit7 : Hello Teammate! Listen, I wish you best of luck and hope the Hurricane will slow down and not cause any harm to you or others down there!

We know you are one of the fastest in our humble division, and you have our respect . We wish you good luck for the next few days!

THanks STINGER. I can only hope for the best (but doubt that will happen).

By slowing down, I hope you mean wind speed and not movement. :P

there only not using it because there gt mode status is rubbish so they cant afford one lol loosers

Gee... I never would have figured someone would go so low as to insult someone for their choice NOT to run the obvious winner. I've decided to use my new game save, about 5% complete, instead of my 80% completion save just so I WON'T be tempted to use the R390.

👍 to the people not on the bandwagon.

lol, I told Joe he would upset some people by saying that, he was just joking dude.

Then I guess common sense should have been used. Think before you speak... er... type.

On another note... Tested some more FR cars. I'm thinking I might stick with my Viper for this week unless the 3000GT or skyline can boast a better time with my driving style.

I dunno if the skylines are all that gr8, i tested the nismo r32 and r34s before opting for the R390 and they didnt offer a lot performance wise. Although the handling was alright with the r34, it couldnt be lowered to anywhere near 1250kg unfortunately. The Supra seems like a good choice but i'd imagine the viper to be pretty similar. R34JSE is at my house now on my wheel lol. Dunno why im saying that.

Ha, I am stuck at mid 1'07 for T2. No matter how much I try I can't go any faster.
So as usual my fastest time on a Thursday night is my fastest time overall.

How some of you guys are so quick is beyond me. :indiff:

r34jse
i only turn my ghost on when im on a strait never when im in corners or a technical section
I didn't know that you could turn the ghost on and off during a race :dunce: Is that true?

smaug terrible
Press up on the d-pad to toggle ghost replay on or off.

I didn't know either until someone on this forum told me. :)
TYVM!!
I think I'm finally going to have some time to run this race tonight. Doesn't look like I'll have too much trouble trying to decide what car to drive.

Time to get some Aussie Iron on the leaderboard
Nice comfy 4 door family sedan
Holden Commodore SS
T1 - 32. 930

Well it certainly would be a lot quieter, getting jack of the " are we there yet " chorus :sly:.
And yes the first few laps were kinda slow 💡 till I unhooked the caravan .👍

Was it always hard to drive with TCS or with out TCS/ASM  , it seems without ASM the cars turning is terrible 👎 ... :dunce:
