To add a final note or two... I changed the way I said the deadline in this weeks thread. Just putting it in simpler terms, and use the timezone link too.

Also, about the car selection this week. 1100 - 1150 with 2.5pwr puts us in the 440-460hp range with almost every road car as an option. I hope to see famine give us a nice peak at some options.
I know I can come up with a few names. :mischievous:
Remember that almost all of the fun road cars can hit this weight range with their various levels of lightweight packages.

Good luck and have some fun this week if you can. :D

Looks fun. I've got some free time this week, so I'll enter again. :D

I don't know a **** about cars and their specifications, so if someone could post a list of suitable cars, it would be an enormous help, and I would be very grateful. Thanks.

I have to fly out tomorrow, but if all goes according to plan, I'll be back sometime Sunday.
Maybe by then the car(s) of choice will be revealed. :D

Good luck.

I hope I get a chance.

Alright, I think I've got the jump on everybody this week (I woke up waaaay to early today :D).

Splits so far:

0'21.814
0'49.525
1'02.803

In the spirit of how the WRS started and all - learning and fun - I'm going to be upfront and open about my car(s) and settings. I hope everybody else will share, too :)

This morning's runs were in an RX-8 (Lightweight 2, N/A Stage 2 + Semi-Racing Muffler + Chip, All Suspension and Drivetrain mods)

The RX-8 is awsome on the stock settings. All I did was lower the ride height, turn up the brake balance, turn off ASM, and set the TCS to 3.

My hat's off to you GoKents. This week is going to be awsome :mischievous:

Hey everybody,

Thought id let everyone know how im gettin on:D

Have tried the Honda NSX and the TVR Tuscan S.S this morning,

Think the NSX type R is hard to get into weight regs so i used
the type S.

TVR is 1100kg stock so i worked from there(this means 440 BHP
max )

cant remember specs but both very close to 2.500 p/w ratio(NSX
is dead on 2.500)

best times so far T1 21.868 T2 49.753 T3 1:03.608

wont tell u which one :P but both are very good...lol

havent done much to the settings yet, about the same as Luxy

Ha---haaaaaa! Gee, you whine enough and you get what you want! My favorite road circuit with regulations pointing to 3 of my favorite cars in the game as instant obvious choices. Another plus is I will have freetime this week/weekend to work on this one!

Oh ya!

Well, after all the sobbing is over in my race camp....maybe I can get back to racing. Heads rolled because I was 2 seconds behind the leader.

Since I'm am Emperor.....I get to take my deficiencies out on my hapless subjects. It doesn't make me any faster, but it sure makes me feel better about myself.:D .... "Ah, the perks of being GT3Emperor".

This week, we'll accept nothing less than ultimate victory! "Repeat after me!"

"THIS- WEEK- WE- ACCEPT -NOTHING- BUT -VICTORY"!

"Very good.....I'd hate to see more heads roll after this race".

Whispered from the crowd of subjects:

"Maybe you should consider 'NOT' running, Emperor"

"WHO SAID THAT?!!!":mad: :irked::odd: :rolleyes:

Not with me... this was all on my will, not your's.

But then again, you may have a point. Look at ***** ass spain punking out and giving in to exactly what al queda wants after only 1 bombing. :(
Punk ass weaklings. Giving into terrorist is never the answer, only a good way to make the problem worse. :irked:

But for this week, Im gonna let you guys in on my story... I did a lot of testing. Never got to run for the actual race, but did get to tune about 5 different cars to within .010 of the target.
These cars include...
Z concept
RX-8
Rx-7 rs
Nsx type zero
rgt

Right now the rx7 rs is the technical best... 2.500 exactly with better torque weight than any other, including the rgt.

Im also sure that the tuscan, the spoon s2000, or any s2000, along with the lotus 350, normal esprit, and about a dozen others are all capable of getting into this race.

Good luck, and remember fellas, suggestions thread is where request for future races go... remember that scuds. (I mean, when was the last time I talked to you on aim. ) (not to worry though friend... I enjoy your company. :D )
Remember, Im not some spanish socialist weakling. ;)

Hi again!

I drove about 5 laps and I got a

22.5/50.2/1Ā“04.7.
The T3 is bad because my strange drrrfto section in the turns before the T3 :D.

IĀ“ll be back.. ..with better timesĀØ

Yeah, I'm going to beat my Type V into a puddle of mush on this one.

Woohaaa!

hahahaha, damn GoKents...

AIM....I'm there often you never are you socilaist pig! :D

(***EDIT*** - removed polical commentary...but my "location" should say it all...)

As far as this race it is great. So many cars to work with yet "I think" some obvious choices. The NSX is the only one I didn't consider though i really want to make a German or English car work for this...the japanese ones are too easy...hehe:D

Now if only something italian and sliver fit the spec...as long as I have "zee, germans" i am happy.

Ok..
Now I have a new best, little rockstar'ish, lap with the RX-8, with a T3 of 1Ā“03.8. IĀ“m a second slower than you guys there :embarrassed:.

There are just so many cars that could fit those specs! I would also love to do this with an European car. I do more testing tomorrow.

This week is really going to be awesome! Just so many cars to choose, and one of my favourite tracks! I have been away from WRS for a while (playing FF-X, awesome game, btw), but this is something, that im really going to do. šŸ‘

I haven't run on Apricot Hill part deux yet, but I have my car.

A brand new, shiny, Berlina Black, S2000 (No V).

Weighing in at a fine 1103kg, sporting 439HP, and registering a 2.512 ... I think I've just nearly maxed out the options. And I am using N/A as opposed to the turbo route - this makes me happy (:

Now for some segment times! Don't laugh, they're going to suck.

Blast! Damn thing keeps gaining horses. It's up to 445HP which puts the PWR at 2.478. But even at that my T times have an added second per each compared to you all, so I figure my lap time is still 4 seconds behind.

Suckage.

Yo loud music... have you got an xport?

If you do, hit me for a little help.

Any one who has trouble this week should hit me on aim or with a pm. I will be happy to help, supply you with a perfectly tuned car, or just encourage you.
Keep at it, and good luck.
:D

Count me in for this one! I'm 80% complete in GT3 after hours of mind numbing arcade mode and rally racing, and I'm dying for a challenge!

After playing around for a while, I found a combo with the RGT that put it on the 2.5 mark perfectly. I ran some laps with it and it was well off the pace, so it's not the car. I then ran some times with the RX8 at almost 2.5, and I'm definitley slow, with a non-clean T3 of 1'05.777. I've played waaaay too much GT3 today, so I'm goin to bed and tomorrow I will do more testing and see if I can get on the pace.

:D

Unfortunately I have no file swapper. Basically I'm not so great at GT3, but I figure I help out the numbers by filling in the field. And Apricot Hill, especially reverse with the blind left over the hill, is probably my worst track.

I've also probably only run 15 or 20 laps so far. I'm sure another 50 and I'll get my time down a couple more seconds. I'd probably also be better served to get my wheel set back up. But the lack of 100% breaking power really kills it for me.

Oh, forgot to mention. If anyone is looking for a way to replenish their funds after doing races like this, the Amature N/A has a 3 lap of AHII that has a 15,000 CR purse. Enough of those and you'll have a finely tuned car and some credits for next week (:

Great service, Kent. :)

I sure could need it. PM following.

Hiya Fellas :D

This race intrigues me, awesome choice Kent. Ive been lurkin around since you took over the weekly and you seem to be doing an excellent job, tho there was never any doubt in my mind that you wouldnt šŸ‘

Anyways, Ive been in an Impreza mood lately, I really wanna buy one (in real life) except for one problem. Real money is a little harder to come by than gt3 money, so i'll have to live out my fantasies in gt3. I think I just might run the 22B, if I can get it tuned right, it should be a fun little car to drive. It certainly wont be competitive (especially in my rusty state) but it'll be fun. Tho...w/ a chance to drive my all time favorite Rx8...that might be hard to pass up as well.

Ive run about 10 laps in my 22B and so far have a best of 22.3/50.8/1'04.6, and a beautiful looking replay :) Not TOO bad for starters, but definently not on par w/ some of these smaller, nimbler cars.

Im off work tomorrow so hopefully i can devote some time to this, but i'll probably be working fairly hard the rest of the week so I'm not quite sure whats gonna happen, but hoefully i'll have a time by the end of the week. :)

::EDIT:: A twitch of the settings and another 10 laps puts me at 22.1/50.4/1'04.1 ....i have had some 22.0's and may have even broken into the 1'03s. Shes comin down, tho im gonna have to reconfigure some of my power adders cuz the car is sittin at 1130kg, currently has 452hp, and is dead on the 2.500 limit. Shes still breakin in so one more hp could throw me out. No worries, i'll switch some turbos around, play w/ the exhaust, and hopefully by the time shes broken in i'll be back to that 2.500 limit. Now I go to bed.

T1 21.387
T2 48.875
T3 1:02.309

TVR TUSCAN SPEED SIX RULES:D

:irked: ah, yah beat me to it. I just spent an hour getting ahead of your splits from yesterday, HighonPSI :D

In my RX-8, I'm at:

21.5
49.3
1'02.6

(I'm Div 2, btw)

My clean lap is still a long ways off of that, though :irked: , and I've really been pushing the RX-8. I think I might just have to give the Speed 6 a go ...

How hard are you driving that thing at this point?

".....beautiful day for racing!" The sun has a special sparkling yellow glint as it bounces off the cars I see making that charge up the hill past the chicance, down to the hairpin that leads up the back straight.

I spent some time there this morning watching the early leaders, HihonPSI and Luxy work through the downshifting, braking points, the precise line in and then the delicate balance on the throttle.....desperately trying to keep their steeds out of the sand trap while powering up the back chute.

They looked pretty good. But, my pit crew has just called me in.....my first test car is ready....when they pass the pits, I'm going out on their tail, and we'll see if we can kept pace.

I'll let you's know how it turns out.:mischievous: :D

Yo Guys,

Had 2 work this morning,so havent been able to do
anymore yet,just stopped for lunch.

hows that rotary treating you Luxy??to b honest i set my time this morning in the RX7,just checked the replay and its good and clean.think i can see a few more tenths but not much,(not from me anyways):D ,but just a few tenths behind in the TVR & NSX.

Would love to do my best time in the TVR (being British and all):D
but i think the Japanese might just have it......wait,what was that....
Ze Germans..this might be tougher than i think:lol:

Seriously though:D im quite sure i can hear Gt3Emperor ripping seven bales of:censored: out of this track right now, making my
times look like i was stuck in reverse/hanbrake left on etc etc;)

Plenty of cars to try yet ,and im loving every minute of it.
If we end up 1 or 2 Secs behind Gt3Emperors times i think we will be doing very well indeed,so until we hear some Div 1/2 T Times i'm not sure where we stand, but if i can help in any way let me know:)

Got to head back to work now:( so ill check in with you guys later)

I hate this track! I'm still 1.5 sec off PSI's pace in the T1 sector... looks like I've really gotta find a faster way through the chicane.

Tweaked a few cars to close to the pwr limit, and did a few test laps:

Clio Sport 24V: 23.172 51.585 1:05.904
NSX type S 0: 22.984 51.716 1:05.932

Dusted off the old Integra type R and won the Amateur Type R Meeting for a Spoon S2000. I hadn't realized there was a non-race version:

Spoon S2000: 22.552 51.613 1:05.621

Then I remembered setting up a Z Concept car for AH back in WRS 43:

Nissan Z Concept: 22.366 50.652 1:04.356

Unless one of the Mazdas can show me something, I'll be running the Z. I know the NCAA tournament is going to put a dent in my driving time this week.
