Ya, a few of those tight 90* corners are evil, if you take too much curb, even if it looks like you are clear listen for a tap, a sound like a pebal falling in a coffee can and you aren't clean....I play with headphones on though, it is amazing all the little things you hear.

I have a doubt, is it a clean lap if I get all my car on the sidewalk(without hitting the wall) between the first and second turn?

Road cars I have ruled out of competition:
Dodge Viper GTSR Concept
Lotus Exige (MotorSport Elise)
Pagani Zonda C12s (man this thing is a brick)

none of these got even remotely close to my above time.

EDIT: I have also discovered that I have not a clue as to what Race Car would be worthy of the 2.000 PWR category. The two that I have tried are marginally faster than my current road car time!

I couldnt even get teh Nissan R390 to the kind of times I was seeing in the above 'mystery' Road Car....

So looks like I have found my road car... now if only I could find a Race Car worthy of 2.000.... the problem I am having is that so many 'good' race cars either fall WAY short of 2.000 (like 2.300) or are too far under 2.000 to have them go dirty and be competitive.... hmmm...

Race Car:
17.649
47.702

:D I think I have my two cars... or is it that I am just tired of playing with race cars seeing which ones I can burnout to under 2.000????

i like the MRS race car too, but the brakes are weak, and as fun as it is to slide the car around... the traction isn't the greatest.

looks like i got a lotta work to do on those settings, if it is this car i'm deciding to use.

those road car times u got up missing link... are better than my race car times! hahaha

Hi everryyboddy!

I was in th mood to play tonight so I grabbed the first race car that I knew would meet the requirements and that I aready had a setup for from another WRS. After about 30 laps, I've got a clean:

17.555 / 47.300

I dunno if this time will hold up now that some of the "newer" guys are getting so fast since I've been in "retirement" mode:eek: , but hey I'll turn it in regardless of if I have time to improve upon it or not. Cya at the finish line!

I've been running an RX-7 for my road car but again am very far behind. But since I have neither the time nor desire to put into winning more money to build a new car it looks like I'm stuck with that or trying to get the Xj220 I have to work which looks unlikely as the turbo lag is hellish. :-P

Have'nt tried a race car yet though.

Well, I'm back to where I was earlier, but this time it's clean. The T1 time is .500 away from what it could be tho' :(

Still in the 2.043 Racer

I don't think I'll bother with a road car. I'll probably not have time for both.

Hi again!
Ok, thanks for replys. Those cleared some things out. I didn´t plan to drive this week with the Nissan or the Ford. As you said it, too easy. I´m thinking to use an european road car in this race, I dunno if I have time, I could also try with a race car to make to entries. I´ll be back tomorrow with times hopefully.

and to CFM: Hi doctor Nick..

I'm going to admit I am frustrated this week. Over the past two days i must have tried 50 cars and various setups within there (thank GOD for the MKS garage editor and my x-port, it earned it's cost this week). I've still not found anything that "feels right" or even good. I am a bit farther ahead with road cars, I have maybe 4 that I can lap in the T2 50.5 range, which is well off pace, I think I am going to start working on setups for 3 of them (the RGT is the 4th of course, I know I can do something with this but kinda want to give another car a chance). Race cars are another thing...I'm having trouble finding ones I like that meet the spec. I have 4 right now all in the rules, 2 of them I can run T2 48.6s fairly easily with but agian i ahven't really worked on setup.

The cars I WANT to run all fall slightly over (2.2range) or slightly under 1.7-1.9 range) which is frustrating. I ran a base ZZII around and lapped in the low T2 47.xs then went and looked the the PW/R and saw it was ar 1.8xx, uggh. Hands down that is my fav "race" car in the game.....I also wanted to run the Gillet but it is WAY too light...uggh...both are way too light to even run dirty oil to get them in spec, blah! Oh and the Subaru LM Imprezza was under as well...uggh!

I am this close ----> <---- to saying "F#&k It" and running a Lupo for my race car and a Mini for my road car. Way off pace, I know, but I love both and will have fun in them......uggh.

I ran a bit more after I posted last night and came up with a clean:

17.527 / 46.916

There's still .300 here for me on a flawless run...:mischievous:

Oh no....not another un-retired hot shoe! It's bad enough having Missing Link and daan.....now, Carbonfiber Man!:P

It's bad enough with these div 2 upstarts like Redline Fox, and Scuderia229 (who by the way, I'm about to shake off my bumper in the next turn)......Oh, such competition.....:mischievous:

Just kidding, welcome back Carbonfiber....it doesn't look like you've lost any speed in your short retirement.:D

Well, just getting back to testing some eligible cars...

Race Car Test Session:

T1=17.816...17.856
T2=47.857...47.414

I need to go win a eligible car to (pimp) test....quite a few are missing from my stable of mechanical 'whore's'.

You shouldn't have trouble dusting me in my red Mini...hahaha.

At least I hope not!

I don't wanna be too confident, but what about all the other fast fellas here?

I may keep quiet, but that doesn't mean I haven't run any yet. :mischievous:

"Hotshoe?" Me? My shoes are decidedly cold. :D

Got a new best T2 of 47.5, although my T1's seem to be getting slower  but my laptimes are getting faster.

I really didn't want to do this, but seeing as how fast everyone's times are, I may have to go NSX race car too. My MRS car just isn't cutting it for me. All my T times are in the 48's, but I have only raced about 50 laps, which isn't much at all. I know the point of having a choice of cars to race in is for the fast guys to pick a slow car and see how high they can finish, but I'm not a "fast" guy yet. I'm starting to dislike these types of races...:irked:

I hope that wasn't an April's fool joke, because you already stole me the idea

As I seem to be doing this backwards (slower T1 & T2 but faster laps), here's a brief resume of what I've been up to.

(In chronological order)
Race Car 1
18.047 - 48.813
18.047 - 47.908

Race Car 2
18.235 - 48.096

Race Car 1
18.127 - 47.513

Race Car 2
17.860 - 47.613

I've seen a best T1 of 17.4 in Race Car 1, but the extra power that Car 2 has means it's better on the run down to the line. The last time there is probably the one I'll submit. I don't see me beating it, and I've got GTD3 to do also (It's at Rome II too so this has probably helped that :D in a ZZII).

cool!

How about this!

GoKents....hope you don't mind, if so tell me and I'll stop this.

Let's run a side race this week. Same rules as the weekly (well about touching the walls, etc).

Scuderia229's run a Mini around Rome

Car: SIM Mini, maxed out modifications (no hybrids)

Tires: T8, super-softs

Anyone competing in this weekly is free to join in.

PM me your best lap times by 1am EST Tuesday morning (same deadline as the main weekly).

I'll have the results up around 8:30am Tuesday morning.

Since I don't think many people will run this on the side, there are no divisions, I'll just list the times as they fall in order.....

any questions about this PM me.
