Yea, this will be good for the short week. Well, I guess I better start pushing the Arcade mode Calisonic Skyline R34 out.

Time to see me go round and round.......and not necessarily all the way around the track, either. lol

This one looks pretty interesting.

T1-26.080
T2-55.581

The car will let you know when you've ventured onto the curbs more than it would like to be on them......the back end will kick around and makes a nice little drift for using the Race settings.

Other than that, I was surprised that it doesn't break loose and decide to spin like a top like I thought it would. Of course, there are probably going to be some amongst us that will discover the formula for breaking it loose and spinning it like a top. Hope I'm not one of them. lol

Week 69 is here! I've been waiting for this number to come up....................... I'll go run a few now, thanks for the arcade car Kent, I really didn't want to run any more championships today.

Im glad we have an arcade car this week as well. My stash of money is rapidly going down !!!

Im not sure as Im not sat with the PS2 now but am I right in thinking that you cant change the setts with the arcade car ? I'll find out tonight when I get in but I am keen to know now !!!

No, no tuning, which I am glad for because it will only be driving skill this week, not just a "who is the best tuner".

i put in some laps today and its a fairly good combo.
here is what i was able to come up with:
T1: 25.729
T2: 55.060
And based on my calculations am thinking i can shave off around half a second of my total lap time.

Well guys...as much as I was looking forward to racing this week (I really missed gtp.net being up) I don't do arcade cars and espcially skylines...so I'll see you all next week or the week after (My wife and I are going to the USGP next weekend and will be in Indy most of next week).

Arcade cars are lame!

Have fun all!

Just improved nicely to
T1 25.500
T2 54.149
but I made a real pigs ear of the last corner. Still clean but sloooow. :(

Indeed. This week will truely be good.

Boo!

Driver skill, not tuning skill...
I would put some merit in you saying that if you didn't deny all of the help you were offered last week. :P

"no, I don't use other people's settings."
Blah blah blah...

Well I guess this is the week for you... no tuning, only driving. ;)

However, if you guys like these arcade cars, great. 👍
Glad to see you all will enjoy the race.

Till the results or my first run...
Later.

Got 5 laps in to see where I stood.......just as I figured..... a lot of work to do.

T1 26.0
T2 55.5

*EDIT- Couldn't resist doing 10 more before I left for work. :D
T1 25.7
T2 55.0

You guys put waaaaaaay too much emphasis into how much the setup can alter your times, as long as you are not running with rediculously silly numbers, it is all down to the driver.

Damn daan, pretty fehkin fast
...he says as he goes and beats it

:P

9/10ths of my best lap is flat out using all of the track, but the last corner was rubbish. The problem I'll have is that I now won't get near to repeating that lap in order to improve the last corner.

Nice combo Kents....

I now have an X-port, so time to sit down and set it all up, and will be able to post some replays...wooooooooooo

:)

nice times so far guys! @missing link WHOA! 0'53.xx man, have you got a rocket up you cars arse or what!!

i have a small anouncement to make (big for me, small for you) this shall be my first olr using manual tranny, hope it goes alright.
lol, ive got lots of excuses this week!
if i do well, its cos of the manual tranny,
if im so so , im still getting used to it,
if i lose badly, manual
hehe
so far, ive got 0'26.069 and 0'56.517, still workin on it

I have never been a fan of this track...not feeling all that confident about this week. Although last week was my first week on my favorite track and I didn't do as well as I had hoped for. Anyway, been running laps whenever I had time, pulled a decent one out of no where, I have problems putting together clean laps, I can never do it. My only 1:19 last week just happened to be clean, I was never able to get another 1:19, not even dirty. This lap was so close to the walls in like 3 spots I couldn't believe I didn't hit them. Anyway, this might be it for me this week, I am off to Toledo for the ProSolo, my first, hope it goes well. Here are my splits:
T1: 25.683
T2: 54.493
Missing Link, I don't know how you do it, amazing. Good luck to all of you, I am having a blast doing this.

t2 ' 54.8

My biggest prob so far is getting smooth through the first tight righ hander.... 2nd gear. Tried going through in 3rd but lost too much time.....

I reckon there is a second to come off for sure...

You were thinking right in staying in 3rd... this car shifts optimally between 6750 and 7000, so staying in what seems to be too high a gear is often a good idea with the skylines. ;)

Hmm. A little hard for me to get the feel for this one. Right now I'm having problems with almost every goddamn inch of the track.
After 2 rather short sessions I've got a clean lap at 55.9xx.
The good thing: lots of room for improvement.

T1-25.867
T2-54.821

And that was my 3rd lap of my little session just now. As a result, I knocked 7 tenths off my previous overall. And this was clean compared to the second lap of the session.

I stayed in 4th on through Trap #2 before jumping to 5th. By then, I was a tenth up on the prior lap that was dirty thanks to a couple wall brushes.

I think I'll go and run around again and see if I can better it.
