Week 91: A Classic Match

Finally starting to put it together: new best at 6.1, 20.1, and 36.0. I think I really may be done with this, and I don't think I can go much faster. That 35.3 Mich had must have been an insanely good lap.

T1=6.559
T2=20.813
T3=36.395
I know I can go abit faster because I forgot to change my oil and the cars power permanently dropped to 950.
 
I tried the FTO tonight with Iceman's settings, except for a longer gearbox (2.999 / 18 +tranny trick) which gives a top speed about 320 km/h (200 mph) at the braking point of turn 1.
After about 100 km, I reached my goal which was to run a clean T3 under 38 sec.

T1 = 6.767 (best seen at 6.4)
T2 = 21.074 (personal best)
T3 = 37.908 (personal best)

I only have sunday night available for another session, so it might be the lap I'll submit.
 
Im pissed coz I`cant get that 1st curve to stick :yuck: I had some 6,5`s that didnt last.Its incredible how my grey #87 Impreza get thrown about when i push times, its unstable but fun & a nice challenge.

After 30 laps I`ll call it a day, to check out live timing from F3 in Macau

T1: 6.867
T2: 21.776
T3: 38.595

Ill have a go with it tomorrow, and that first sector is going DOWN :grumpy:
 
Put bound, rebound and stabalizers up :eek: :eek: :eek: what a difference!

Knocked 1.5 seconds off within 5 laps. Then played for another hour and a half.

6.2 / 20.1 / 35.7 clean, but lost a bit sliding out of the last turn :( and the car only had 928hp.

I wonder where I'm losing 0.400 on GT3Mich between T1 and T2. At least it'll be an NTSC replay that I can compare :-)

Hopefully, I can get another session in, and knock off a little bit more.
 
Wow Luxy, looks like an incredible lap! I have a run with a 35.5, but it isn't any faster than the 36.0 I probably will be submitting. I think I really nailed the last turn, and I expect to see out times are very close. Seeing those times makes me want to give this another run.
 
Sorry for not editing my post above, I can't seem to get the edit to work. After seeing Luxy's times, I put in some focused laps and came away with a 35.8, and an acceptable last turn that shaved about .3 off my previous best. I just can't stop racing this one 👍.
 
More running:

6.4 / 20.0 / 35.7 clean, with an ok last corner that knocked 0.400 off my final time.

on the dirt section of the track the grass is considered part of the track, isn't it?

first time using iceman settings with some changes, i'm over 2 sec faster then my old best time.:eek:
i have done a very good lap with a very good last hairpin,but the lap wasn't clean enough:banghead:
My PB T's are T1- 6.116 T2-19.xxx T2-35.7xx
I will get there soon i only need to do a clean lap with these T times:crazy:

Lap mentioned above is submitted. (6.767 / 21.074 / 37.908) with no further practice (in the FTO, sorry Kent I didn't mention in my PM).
Again I'll be away this week, so the stats page will be updated late and I won't start practising for week 92 before friday night.

Will hopefully have improved by the deadline.

BTW, this is a fantastic combo ... edge of your seat stuff!
 
It's so close this week I just can't stop :P

6.2 / 20.0 / 35.6 with another few hundredths off overall.

I had a 6.2 / 20.0 / 35.4 with a touch right at T3 that ended up 0.200 faster than my best clean lap :grumpy: Played for another 200 miles and never got close to it again :crazy:

Wow, it's been 5 days since I last did this and BOY!, some of these times...

Not my cup of tea, but I've tried to get some respectability into my time...

T1 - 6.967 (seen 6.6xx)
T2 - 21.596 (seen 21.1xx)
T3 - 38.280 (seen 37.8xx)

So there's still heaps there...

EDIT: Made the gearbox a little longer and turned this...

T1 - 6.717
T2 - 20.918
T3 - 37.135

Better last turn also... about 1.5secs off lap...

Still trying...
 
Im not good at this, but its a laugh.
Didn get more than a half an hour session tonight, but will dig deeper tomorrow, cuse my settings have improved. 👍

Just came browsing in here and saw this. My roomie took his friend to the ROM today, she's visiting for two weeks from Alberta. We did have some crap weather this weekend, however.

To at least make an attempt at being on topic in this thread; I've been looking over the WRS, and I wish I hadn't become so out of touch with GT3. I played it for the first time in months today, and I've lost what little speed I had. Hopefully GT4 gets me rejuvenated for OLR.

Seems like a good race, good luck to all!

It wasn't the museum that was expensive. It was all the dinner's and such.$225.00 just for Saturday night. It was good but I've had better in Detroit for 1/2 that amount.
