Live and learn Sphinx, live and learn.
Fancy a GT night soon???

Only if you fancy a good kicking. ;) Tonight?

We could run this weekly?

A lot of racing and at last under 55:

19.459
36.081
54.963 :D

Only marginal improvement possible from now on.

Does anyone have an AR Max drive and want to upload some replay on it with anything so I can see the lines... I haven't even broken into the 54s yet :( OF course, I also haven't broken in the car... and SECA is not my fav... but I feel slow now :P

Updated my times a bit...

T1 - 19.831
T2 - 36.576
T3 - 55.358

I ran 5 laps yesterday and my best T3 was 57.0
I possibly won't submit this week, unless the posted settings make me improve my time by much.

BTW, since Persian Pride lives 30 minutes away from Sphinx and Sphinx only 25 minutes away from Persian Pride, it seems that Sphinx drives much faster than Persian Pride (IRL at least) ;)

flat-out

I'm using Kent's. Suits me very good. 👍

Just notice that he changed them slightly a few posts after his first ones.

Thanks Michael. Actually my previous was "nicer". :dopey: The latest is just faster. :D

I might try out Kent's settings... I'm using a modified form of Hugo's at the moment.

And why am I Div one :indiff:

Oh well, I'll catch Touge Master... I WILL, I SWEAR!! <_<

I tried Hugo's too, but I find them to "slippery" for my primitive driving style. :dopey:

The only place I have issues with them is at the last corner, the corkscrew... and sometimes the first turn. But the oversteer is welcomed in comparison to understeer...

I watched my replay tonight and I think I have a slight off at turn 2. 👎
Luxy, please remove my times from the leaderboard during your next update please.
TIA

Ran more laps this morning, but I still can't seem to best my T3 of 54.449 I ran on Thursday.

Just got my MaxDrive through the post. 👍 (£11.89 from Simply Games)

Unfortunately, my crappy old ps2 will refuse to play the tiny disc - it's clicking away and only just manages to play GT3. I'm gutted. I suppose it's just an excuse to buy a new slim PS2.

One of these days I'll be able to prove my times!

Good Luck :sly:

Still haven't tried Hugo's or Kents settings maybe those will give me the edge I need to reach my target time for the week. See ya at the finish line. :D
Also this is my favorite track (been running it like hell since GT2 :)) so I know it like the back of my hand and I believe that gives me a slight advantage over the rest of the Div. 2 field.

Finally ran a lap on this that's not embarassing.

19.6
36.2
55.0

Had a bit of a slide on the exit of turn 1. And, I know I'll probably regret saying it, but I think I nailed the last sector pretty well.

Best splits I've seen are:
19.4
36.1
54.9

I'm really having trouble figuring out where I'm losing time  When I watch my replay in the analyzer, I'm hitting all the apexes, and the car's not sliding or understeering. It'll be interesting to see the replays for this week.

Just out of curiosity, how are some of you guys at the top of the leaderboard taking (braking point, turn in, gear, min speed) the left sweeper before T2?

Aha!
Maybe I'll get chance to race after all. Figured as you were all having trouble getting the car up to 623HP with break-in, that it'd take too long to get that done to be competetive(-ish.) Thankfully, thanks to my pig-headedness :banghead: in insisting that I win the Lister rather than buying it means that my garage Lister with 0.0miles on has 623HP since its an already broken-in prizecar!
Woohoo!
See you at the finish line (probably a couple of seconds behind Hugo!!! :nervous: )

Now got 88 miles on Lister and a clean save (finally!!!)

T1 19.561
T2 36.136
T3 54.806

Can't dispute the fact that this car is big, but ugly too?
I don't think so. Ever seen an Edsel? Now that was a hideous monstrosity of a vehicle.
Kent missed out on an opportunity to call this something like "Storming Seca" instead of "Big Ugly Car"

19.766
36.294
54.860

Only slight marginal improvement possible from now on.

Been out for three days due to my work as a musican, and I have a big hangover after celebrating Elvis 70th :embarrassed:

Ive driven 280 k`s but still havent bettered my t3 and I have to know:

👍 what is your gearbox setting Hugo? 💡

How many Listers have Y`all driven to pieces this week?
Im on the first! :)

Last update this week
T1 19.557
T2 36.120
T3 54.690

Monty

Don't have the exact numbers, but that would be tomorrow when I can post them.
Gears are 'tranny tricked'. Lowest auto gear, and 6th gear is as short as possible. Don't know my final gear, but at my highest speed the red light just started flashing (I think that's at redline...). 1st and 2nd gear are as wide as possible and then 3rd, 4th and 5th are pretty short, i.e. close to each other. Don't pick too short ofcourse

Because the gears are short and the engine is pretty strong, it's faster in some turns to pick one gear higher going through a corner. Definately improves your time.

And Sjaak, sweet improvement 👍 . You might end up in div1 if you go on like that :sly:

Well, this royally sucks!

After a mere 350 miles on the car, I've already lost 12hp from the engine's peak, meaning I'm running at 611hp. An oil change has no effect whatsoever on the car's hp. I thought peak engine hp started to drop off at around 500 miles, so I never expected this!

I'm still going to submit a time, but it's going to be nowhere near what I was running on Thursday (I did not have a clean fast lap to save then). Right now, after running around 20 laps, I was struggling just to get a T3 below the 55 second mark (T1s are around 19.7-9, while T2s are in the mid 36 range. I must be losing tons of time on the climb to the corkscrew). I am really not pleased with this. I've made no major changes to my car's setup or my driving, yet I'm out of contention for a podium because my hp unexpectedly dropped off.

Spent 2 1/2 hours on this yesterday evening and did beat my T3 an number of times but kept flying off the course on last right. Even managed to get a T3 of 53:782 but again flew off last right. So I gave up.

However, had a go this morning and on my first lap I got a clean lap of:
T1 19.504
T2 36.100
T3 54.256
👍

Finally got a good run in and have:
T1: 19.5
T2:35.7
T3:54.4
Corkscrew wasn't too good, but the worst part was the final sector. I probably lost upwards of .6 in the final sector alone due a bad line through each of the last few turns. Will have another run tonight.

Time submitted. No further improvements.

Thanks for a very fun combo, Kent. 👍

See you in the next race. :)
