This is frustrating. I do fairly well with the RX-7 (could possibly place first in Div 3) but I can't even get better than dead-freaking-last with anything else I've tried. RAAAAAAHHHHH. I want my S2000 to do well, but I have no idea how flat-out scored better than 1'06.3xx" in the silly thing. I guess I'll find out tonight if I get to be among a minority or if I'm stuck submitting an RX-7 time.

Well, I'm not far under 1'06.3, I'm at 1'06.281. But there is still more time to save on this one since I didn't put much time into this week's event, and a low 1'05 seem do-able, even by me.
It seems strange to me, so I'll double-check that I didn't spend more than 100,000 Cr on the car and I'll post my settings.

Time submitted :
T1 = 15.745
T2 = 44.535
T3 = 1'06.281

Especially for LoudMusic, here is how I tuned my S2000 :

Car (Honda S2000 Type V) : 35,600 Cr
Semi-racing suspension : 7,400 Cr
Sport brakes : 4,700 Cr
Brake balance : 10,600 Cr
Racing muffler : 4,800 Cr
Chip : 1,500 Cr
Tripleplate clutch : 4,700 Cr
Racing flywheel : 1,050 Cr
Carbon shaft : 3,000 Cr
Full-custom gearbox : 10,400 Cr
Stage 2 turbo : 13,500 Cr
T8 tyres : free
oil change : free

Total : 97,250 Cr
(which left enough to buy red wheels that suit perfectly the 'New formula red' paint of the car).

This brings the car at 419 hp for 1,260 kg (PWR = 3.007) and gives 1 lap at 419 hp and 3 laps at 420 hp before the power reaches 421 hp, and the PWR drops under 3.

Now the settings :

I was actually taking a look at Luxy's leaderboard, and I counted 29 names. I don't remember having seen so many submissions since I joined the WRS in week 65.
Famine would be the one to confirm that this is some kind of record.
Can we expect better for week 100 ? ;)

However, more power and more weight isn't always true. My Opel was a second faster around Trial than my MR-S, despite weighing almost 100 kg less and being NA. The MR-S was turboed, so it produced a decent amount of torque.

I'm still debating what car I want to submit my time with... Opel or RX-7 :D

Hugo Boss
Time submitted :)

Splits:
T1: 14.888
T2: 43.185
T3: 1'03.977

No I didn't use the Vette :D

yes, hugo's T3 doesnt match his T2, his T2 to T3 seems uncharactaristcly (what a word) slow

Time submitted.

If I was marginally competent in setting up the Griffith 500 then I could probably have a better time! Still - it was fun. :)

To add in brief, I configured the SVT without any weight reduction and with, I could manage the same times when the pwr was identical, albeit the car was less nimble at 1600+ kgs . Too much weight as Kent points out is NG. . Mid 1400kg @ 3.0XX seemed ideal for my wip. Where I lost time in the turns, I made it back in the straights. More turns than straights so I opted for the lighter car.

It would be too costly to upgrade past stage 2 to establish the required hp to get the job done had the SVT been equipped with a dinky inline 4 or 6 cyl to begin with.

Time submitted :dopey:

I added a driver count at the bottom of the leaderboard, just to save you the counting ;)

Time submitted... fear my MR skills, punks :D

Hey all,

First off,
The week 99 results will be posted in the morning.

Next...
The Evo. 👍
I like the evo but in a week like this I had to use a car I really enjoyed racing. :D
Plus, week 88 was the perfect chance to run a great evo.

Week 100's post will be up in a few minutes. 👍
Good luck next week.
Till then,

LoudMusic, be ready to be beaten :mischievous:

Time submitted. Prepare to be shocked and amazed.

Yup. Zero improvement. I spent so much time at work this weekend that I didn't even want to play Gran Turismo. Then tonight I let the dog in because it's so cold outside and he wouldn't leave the cat alone so I got in maybe 15 laps - perhaps 3 of which were clean.

Boooooooo.

I'm forgot to submit my time. :dunce:
I didn't ever get to run again after my last post and my time was crappy anyways, so I guess it's probably a good thing. Saves me a little embarrassment.

Had fun running with you guys while I was though. Thanks and sorry for flaking on an entry. See you in week 100 hopefully.

Well I went to run some last night and nearly missed the submission time because I didn't have a clock in the room.
