Surely this is the week when the final update of 2008 will be announced/released?

Hope so.

Anyways I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a crackin' 2009.

Hey Santa, After your holiday rush, why dont you send a crew of elves to PD and see if they can expedite things along.:scared:
 
I'll be very surprised if we see anything new. I strongly believe the Spec III update was the big, life changing, update. I'm not complaining though, I still manage to have a lot of fun in GT5P.

I agree with you, however why did it say the spec III update had begun?
Maybe it was just bad translation, I hope not, I want a little more out of GT5p.

I drive. I don't need more cars, more tracks, private rooms, etc. to have fun. I just alternate between my games to keep everyone of them relatively fresh.

Perhaps it was bad translation. Maybe they were trying to say that it was the beginning of your Spec III experience, it sounds cheesy, but who knows.

Come on Jackington, surely you would like some new tracks to drive on before GT5 arrives, who knows how long that will be.

It does sound cheesy, sadly it is probably what they meant.
 
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I think it would be fantastic to get some new features, but I just can't see it happening in the near future.

no that is not bad translation KAzunori and Taku said big fall update will come out in FALL..There are a lot of source on the web..If it is bad translation-you can explain the truth huh PD?..If your plans change you can say us PD huh? Fall update delayed or cancel? I wonder what happened? I think PD research the SPACE..Mabe they are working with NASA..It' s a TOP secret mission.Don't say anything to anybody about gt5...I repeat It's a top secret mission. C'mon you are developing a game.
 
My feeling is that if 1.10.08 PD throwed in three cars, bunch of game bugs and total lack of game progress info since that date instead of big update with damage, they owe something to GT players now. So, no big words now and wait calmly till Christmas and then decide if they are really so harsh to us.

If so we would never have Prologue in first place.. as well aditional 30 cars in Spec III.

And the crew of elves, good and funny idea HAHA...


In next month PD would announce they are doing a simulator for Santas ride.. and you know what that would be..
 
Complaining isn't going to make things any better. You should be happy PD were kind enough to give you a Prologue. They could've made us wait for GT5 with nothing to keep you happy except for some screenshots and a hand full of videos.

Maybe the Spec III update was the big Fall update, it did come out in Fall after all, it wouldn't be the first time a company has overplayed a update, I mean they were hardly going to say there will be a tiny Fall update, were they. One thing is for sure, only PD know and they are unlikely to reveal whether or not it was until they are ready, if they do at all, no matter how many times people complain or moan about it.

To be honest I don't know why we expect more for our money. I payed the £20 happily and would do so again, in fact I did, I have the Japanese version, the EU version and the PSN version, as long as they are working on 5, I am happy to play prologue for now.

The fact is one year later I am still playing that £20 game, none of my other games do that.

They mentioned "major" and that update we already got, so I don't get why people think there will be another one... Face it, there will not be another update this year. Perhaps not another major update at all until GT5 is here (wich would be the best IMO).

Before around Spring of 08, media and even PD mention we might get DAMAGE for FALL! :sly:

but yeah seems we are not getting it.. PD still has till Saturday to pull it off for FALL at least :indiff:

We are all spoil by PD, they gave us Prologue which is realistic to the whole world, and it's nothing really exclusive to private beta testers. We already got two to three MAJOR updates. And yet we know this is not full game yet we want more..

I know I am excited too if we had damage, private rooms, etc in Prologue.. but I think its better to wait, because the longer you wait the better it will be.

Me: any near update coming to GT5 Prologue?

K.Y: we just released the Spec 3 update and about future update there is for sure.

Me: is it soon ?

K.Y: "smiled" we will anounce it in our website before there is any update. but we will anounce the information only before an update is goin to be released in a couple of days like what we did in spec 3. even GT5 will release at the same way "laughing" we will do every thing as a surprise.


So is this technically an announcement that another update is imminent?
 
Is there seriously another thread about this? I would've thought the people that somehow get bored with this awesome, yes awesome, game would surely get bored of complaining about it.
 
Spec II - March 28th.
Spec III - October 3rd.

So, just over six months.

I'm not even going to guess if we'll have another update before Christmas / in the next three months. It's so hard to predict with almost no information :) Kaz smiling at the thought of an imminent update could mean anything. I've restrained myself from speculating so when it comes (I do expect another update), I'll be pleasantly surprised :)
 
I would actually be happy to see different online races, while admitting a minor update i would like to see, is that 4WD cars get a slight PP penalty ;)
