I almost posted up and skipped this week, had no practice since last week, didn't really feel like it, etc, etc.
Glad I didn't. :D

Great races. A bit of a mess beginning the second race, but so much good side-by-side action it was unreal. And I mean side-by-side with 90% contact free, just squeezing everywhere.
Ready for next week.

Man I would hate to see you with practice
This car really lends its self to SPEC racing, good speed, easy to control in a pack, great handling if you don't get bump steer.

I was without tyre noise, never tried that before, and it is really strange.

In race 2 Owen and I collided at turn 2 entry, sorry about the mess.

Other than all that, both races were tough and great.

  5. R1600Turbo
  6. carracerptp
  7. cicua
  8. OwensRacing
  9. Wishywish
  10. Jay_B_II

Thursday Room Race 2 Results:
  1. R1600Turbo
  2. drama-kyd
  3. CSLACR
  4. cicua
  5. Dr_Watson
  6. Egghead43
  7. OwensRacing
  8. Wishywish
  9. Jay_B_II
  10. carracerptp

Also, a note to the extra drivers that are racing more than once during the week. I don't mind if you join the race, but you have to get into the room before qualifying starts. Once qualifying has started, it's too late to join. Mainly because I don't know if it will mess up the grid, plus there won't be any time for you to get a good lap in anyway.

One great thing about tonight was I only saw 1 hint of lag.
Maybe PD fixed something?
or.... was everyone NAT 2 or better?

Same, no tire noise. I can't tell if I do better without it, or everyone else does "more worse" then me without it. It just seems I get an advantage out of it one way or another.

I saw a couple times a car in front would "skip" a few feet forward or backwards, made me rear end Dr Watson once mildly, but didn't cause any harm, so all was well far as I could tell.
Tha Ghoast also, but only a foot or two, only two cars I saw do anything to give away it was an online race, so good enough for me. :)

^ I rarely see significant lag issues with <12 drivers.

I doubt I'm gonna be running just for fun again. Too scared to ruin someone's race.

I'm always NAT 2. Pretty sure my connection is solid, and issues we usually have are not of my doing. :P

Side note, on lap 4 or 5 I was coming out of a corner and my steering wheel slipped off the table. I scrambled to put it back on, but it was crooked for another lap before I could attempt to straighten it while drafting Ghoast and CSL down the front stretch.

Multi-tasking FTW!

That's probably when I thought there was a chance of ditching, I had hopes 2-3 times, especially when dramakyd hit the wall at the left before sector 2 end.

Good comeback.👍 Would have surely been a sucky way to lose a race.

Like A Boss 👍
If you guys knew the crazy way I have the PS3 online you would never let me race LOL, I'm always NAT 2 despite it.
I will try running in both room again, it was fun racing different people.
p.s. I'm on the PS3 web browser, never tried it here.

I hate the PS3 browser, too slow for me.

The point standings have been updated. Lots of ties right now, but by the end of the season that should sort itself out. Hopefully.

Something I forgot to mention, when did this car develop so much understeer?
It's not just me then. :dopey:
It understeers constantly, unless it's killing you with snap oversteer.
I used it offline for the first time today in the new A-Spec seasonals, way to much car for the 400PP, but at tracks we can't drive online, like TM, it's actually quite a joy to drive offline. I'll probably run the Nurb tonight.

Ah yes, the Nurburgring. I'll run a lap tonight before I shut the system down. Still testing cars for the Touring Car series...

I had fun last night. Jay and I had a good run on the reverse grid. I screwed up a few times which caused to lose the draft. Once you lose the draft the car feels so slow. The cars in the draft really pulled in the straight. Hopefully I'll do better next time.

forcednduckshn really killed it both races lol. Hats off to him.

DAMN IT! I forgot yesterday was Thursday, totally missed the race playing Skyrim! I won't be able to make next Thursday's race but I should be able to make the Tuesday races from now on. Sorry for not showing up RT. I'll be there Tuesday, I put it in my phone! lol

Thanks man :) And you spelled my name right! (Impressive)

I was hoping for a draft partner to pull off some high 2.05's haha:mischievous:

I really do love this car. It reminds me of an s2000. Stable on throttle but the rear end moves when you want it to in a controlled fashion.

LOL.

The car is awesome. I am impressed at how grippy it is with the cs tires. A well balanced car for sure.

I know this looks like the beginning of a race... but it is in fact the finish of the first race.

------

The first race was awesome. Little bit of rubbing here and there but nothing too severe. Lots of really tight, close and clean driving. Probably the closest race I've been involved in. 👍
The replay looks fantastic, very entertaining race.

IMO the second race was 2 laps of frustrated carnage mired by impatient banging... then 2 laps of trying to settle down... then a 5 lap race could begin. Bit of a shame we followed the best race I've been in with one of the worst starts I've ever been in.

Great picture 👍 .
I think the first race was as fun as it get at Tokyo.

btw, when you quote a post with images in it you should probably delete the image tags so it doesn't clutter the thread with big duplicate pix.

Watson/PTP, yeah I watched both races start to finish. A blast to watch for sure! Check out Ghoast's 2nd lap pass going from 6th to 2nd, pretty sick!

Yeah, a blast on the CS's
