No wall riding needed, but it's gotten much harder for cars that are not heavily PP optimized (150+kg of ballast strategically placed, Min/Max aero Front/Rear, etc) to win this. Track time and track knowledge help a lot too, of course.

IMO, the minimum tires to fit on any build should be Sports Mediums.

After some quick testing, the Volvo 240 Drift Brick is more stable than the Mazda at lower speeds because of Racing Tires and Turbo lag. You will have all the top speed and acceleration you need, but your braking distances will be VERY long.

Be gentle with the throttle, because turbo 1000+hp. And brake in a straight line or be ready for oversteer during trail braking.

It's a shame the AI is as hard as it is here, because I think this track has great flow.

Liked this week, even if we've had some of the tracks recently. Sunday Cup was pretty forgettable but I really enjoyed the Japanese Clubman Cup at Autopolis because it's at a great time of day, fun track in cars of that speed too. Hypercar Parade would be more fun if there was some weather involved, I was running out of cars to use to I turned to the Vulcan which turned out to be much too fast for the AI, still fun to drive at least. WTC 600 is a tricky event and harder than I remember given I needed 2:10 or lower to win. Ran a 600 PP swapped RX-7 and didn't have too many problems, I do really enjoy that layout too. Group C was more of what we've had in previous weeks as it was quite an easy race but still really enjoyable to drive those cars. RH on a 962 gave me around a 10 second margin at the end, struggled a little with the brakes locking as I was the fronts on 4 and 5 seemed to impact the overall braking distance. Can't really complain though given that's no ABS on a DS4.

The toughest challenge will be the world touring car 600. I have tried this one many times last week and won it only with the Lexus LFA and the Diablo GT.

Ah, a man of taste I see. Looks like my garage. Group C are the best.

Aside from the MiTo, that's a potent line-up of cars! Love that there's two RX-7s there - clearly a man of good taste.

RACE 5 – Special Event – Group C at Spa
I hopped in the Jaaaag XJ-R9 with stock power and Racing Medium Tires. The same setup that dominated the Watkins Glen event.

ROUND 1
Apparent both I and the Jaaaag are terrible at Spa.

The back marker blockers were braking dangerously early – similar behavior to the SFS (Super Formula Stupid) Special Event at Dragon Trail. But, the Porsche 962s that started in first and second place did not have that handicap,

Those two 962s seemed to always be just 11 seconds away...

I pushed VERY hard; running 2:00.2xx laps. The best I could do was punch the 962s lead down to 9 seconds, for a 3rd place finish. The 962s ran 2:00.9 laps all day long.

So, PD, you are showing me that if I had not started 16 seconds down and did not have to elbow through 10+ back market blockers, I probably would have had a great race with the front runner 962s, right?!

My response was predictable

I fitted the Death Star sized turbo and Racing Soft tires and went to work [beatdown].

I want to revisit this event because

1. Group C cars are awesome
2. I want to get better at driving Spa
3. I want to put the AI down by 1 minute


RACE 4 – WTC600 – The Abarth Run
I’ll let the video speak for itself.

• Yes, the AI deserved this
• No, I do not understand why PD is determined to make this car handle worse with every update
• No, that will not stop me from continuing to tune it and drive it

Not the biggest fan of the races this week. Not that they're not challenging or anything. I just found them quite dull. That said, I do try to make it somewhat interesting by always trying to use my less driven cars.

Got this Ferrari 308 GTB as a gift as part of MFGT. Left it fully stock, and its actually not bad. Wouldn't be first choice though when it comes to vintage Ferraris, I love the Daytona the most.

Had this fully tuned Honda Fit around. I tried to make my version of a Fit Type R a while ago. All of Honda's FF cars drive amazing, and the Fit is no different.

The Viper is always way to squirrely for me to really enjoy driving. Maybe I need to work more on the tuning, but its not a car I regularly drive anyways.

A fully tuned Hiace in Tokyo is probably the most fun I had this week. Thing just sails through the corners like a breeze. It struggles on the straights a bit, but it more than makes up by going through corners in fourth gear.

Didn't have fun with this one. I've been trying to get used to driving manual with a controller this week, and Group C cars are such a struggle, especially around a track like Spa with such differing sections.

All I got is credits in the end, including 1mil with the six star ticket. Not complaining, more credits for me to fool around tuning random cheap cars.

Sorry for the poor photoshop job where the 787B's front overlaps the Veneno, it shouldn't be too noticeable.
Race 1: European Sunday Cup 400 - I decided to go and use a car I rarely use, the BMW i3, I built it to make a sort of imaginining of a i3 cup car, but it didn't really work well in that case, but here, it excelled, it can only get to 94 miles per hour, but you only get that close on the straights, and it absolutely dominated, of course, I didn't notice that it was 100 PP above the recommendation.
Race 2: Japanese Clubman Cup 550 - Another build here, a MX-5 inspired race car, I believe I was aiming for GR.4 spec with this build, this one wasn't so easy, with only a few seconds difference between me and second, Still, a fun car.
Race 3: Hypercar Parade - I don't remember when I got the Lamborghini Veneno, I certainly didn't get it for my birthday last year, as I got the GT By Citroen GR.4 car, this car generally handled quite nicely, but understeers a bit at speedy corners.
Race 4: World Touring Car 600 - Another build for this one (It may have been for this very championship?) with the Mitsubishi 3000GT, tuned to 600 PI Exactly. Getting to 5th was easy, but above them was a bit of a fight, especially the Subaru and the Aston Martin, a very fun race
Race 5: Special event - This one was difficult, and it was tempting to use a vision GT, but I refused to do so, and won in a period vehicle, the 787B.

Some Friday morning cruising. Nice. Normal difficulty.

Sardegna - Mini-Cooper 'S' '65 - I'd gotten this car tuned up to ~400PP when I was originally going through the Menu Books. It made for a pretty easy win, though Lopez in that Renault put up a good fight. He was way faster on the straights. First ticket obtained.

Autopolis - Toyota GR Supra RZ '20 - I put some aero on the car to dress it up and that put it slightly over the suggested PP. I left it on SH tires, which meant I had to brake a little sooner and be more careful through the corners. Still, it was an easy win. Second box checked.

Red Bull Ring - Aston Martin Valkyrie '21 - I put RM tires on the Valkyrie and just demolished the field, taking the lead at the end of lap 1. Too easy. Second ticket obtained.

Tokyo Expressway - SLS AMG '10 - You all had me worried about this race, but I had no trouble with it at all. The aero I added bumped the PP over the limit, so I put a power restrictor on to get it back under. I ran the car on the stock SH tires. I banged into the wall a few times, and had one incident with the AI that left me at a complete stop (at least I was still pointed in the right direction). Had no problems catching the leader for the win. Fourth box checked.

Spa - Nissan R92CP '92 - I was hoping for some strategy on this race, but with no tire wear or fuel consumption, it was a simple sprint. I slapped on some RS tires and went to town. Another easy win on normal difficulty. Final ticket obtained.

The roulette ticket gave me the Peugeot L500R VGT, which I already own, so I sold it for ~516,000Cr.

I say this because I ran the same car and same default setup with the exact same difficulty on the third attempt and when it was just one AI out in front (Once again, a Porsche), didn't have nearly the same issue catching it.

I completed all 5 this morning. I went with a teutonic theme this week.
Euro Sunday Cup: 300SL, bone stock.
Japan Clubman: RC-F stock, the most Teutonic of Japanese cars.
Hypercar Parade: Renntech tuned SLR McLaren build. This was the race I was most worried about because of the Valkyrie. Turned out to be an easy win due to the Valkyrie being in traffic the entire race.
WTC600: pulled out my 600pp E36 M3 because I have been neglecting my BMWs lately. Another win, and even the CRB.
Group C: Sauber C9, could’ve been an easier win, but I spun at Les Combes with 2 laps to go and lost ~15 seconds. Came back and won.

Rewards were Ferrari invite for DM ticket and Aston DP100 VGT for the 6 star. Pretty good day!

I had one that was about 8 seconds ahead of the rest running around 2:03 but once I passed him on like lap 5 he gave up along with the rest of the field, so maybe there's something different if they are close to another car. If anyone ends up running the race again give it a try on RH and see if they behave differently as I pretty easily won on hard with RH because the AI wasn't going stupidly fast early on.

I've never been successful with this WTC600, can anyone please be kind and point me the best car for this and if specific tuning is needed. mind you i do not like the idea of wall riding as i have seen many of YT videos saying it is the way to win.

I am such a goofy, I had forgotten there are TWO WTC600 races at Tokyo and I thought the one for the weekly was the 12 lap grinder race and that is the one i had so much trouble with finding a car that could compete properly. When i finally did get to the shorter of the two races my car was overpowered (700hp+) and with power you need control or all is useless, I was slipping and little traction i barely beat the white RX-7. I re-did the race with the car reduced in power (389hp) and SS tyres I had better control and beat the race easily. Photos forthcoming...

Trying to make the Tokyo 600pp race a bit of a challenge…
Make sure Haywoods Lambo is in the race near the front and use Renault Megane on SH to try get 1st…


Only managing a close 2nd so far, tune needs some optimising though

Very fast moving cars aren't in my league, i hate Tokyo in general so not much left😕 .
Counting that the 6* ticket was a TSO 050 that worth way less than 400k ( didn't sell it ) it's a week that i want to forget 😬

So I started with the WTC600 this week, as I was kinda scared by some posts here; it seems I had already won the race but I can't really remember how it went last time. Had to use the mk1 Viper and I always wanted to turn mine into a racecar, and so I did. 700pp tune from Praiano, detuned to fit the 600pp hard lock... But, I detuned it so much that I was a mobile chicane on the straights. Thankfully I was MUCH faster anywhere else and thus I took the lead... Until on lap 5 a wild Haywood appeared.

Crazy fast Huracan, but it looks like it's pure crap on the corners. Won the event, and since I was at it and literally loved the Viper, I retuned it to 700pp and made it pay herself back at Le Mans 700...

Such a wonderful car at 700pp! I should have done this sooner. Also got the daily ticket together with the 100k weekly one, it was a 3* but came with a surprise:

That's some money saved, as I didn't have this yet!
