Weekly Practice Community Race

Sounds great! Good call on the combo. 👍
Can you post in here the title of the room when it gets opened on Monday?

Sorry.. This is probably a dumb question. Would a bluetooth headset for a cellphone work as a mic?

I am asking instead of just trying, because I am not sure where it is. Probably a 20 minute hunt to find it. If it doesn't work, I will just buy whatever is required.

It should, that's what a couple of my friends use. One or both of them said that they have to go into accessory settings on the XMB and select the headset each time they start their system, it won't automatically select it even though it will appear in the dropdown list

My headset is a standard motorola bluetooth meant for a phone. It will work Red

Thanks guys. Found the bluetooth headset in my center console of my truck, buried about a year of stuff deep:tup: Then found the charger for it in the "junk" room. On the charger now, and will try in an hour or two. That should give me time to go buy something if I don't get it working.

Thanks again, looking forward to tonight

Lol... couldn't get it to work. Went on youtube, found a 12 yr. old with a video explanation. Could have also used my PS Eye as well. Feeling a bit dumb, but mic works now.

not sure if anyone is monitoring this still, but do you guys think it would be better if I did a room in "open lobby" or if I create a Lounge (which will be accessible only to people that are on my PSN list, which I think are most of you by now but may not be everyone)?

Also, Choate, we'll prob wait for you. I don't see the Bruins making a 2-goal comeback in the last period...

I think the lounge would be easier for everyone to find. I sent you a friend request, not sure if you've accepted or not yet. I'll be able to join any time if there's room.

I'd say do it as your own lounge, because if someone has A friend in your lounge then they can join via that friend.

Feel free to add me if you need a way in to the lounge I've got tons of empty space : GTP_SOHNVONSTIG

Yep I gotcha. I am going to go with the private Lounge option, since I had all but 3 of you added already. Send requests to the other 3. That'll also keep the riffraff from butting into our game! You can check my status comment on PSN to see when the lobby officially opens for free runs, probably within the next 5 minutes

For those that don't know, to join the lobby, add me on PSN, then in GT Life go to community > down to my name > click the little yellow icon next to my cup of coffee and join

Ouch, these are the 10-11 bruins so I will probably quit on them in the middle of the 3rd. kinda like they quit on Saturday against the habs.

F me.. The power went out in our neighborhood. SDGE has been working on it since 6 pacific time. Just now came back on. Will try and see if anyone is left, but I assume I missed the "boat" on this one.

A 255mph drifting Fiat sounds pretty serious to me.

But with vertical takeoff abilities too?! This, my friends, is no ordinary 500.

Good fun last night - almost makes me not want to hit the time trials again...

What's in store for next week's cars/tracks? Personally, I could use a little more time with the GT-R to figure that thing out. It's heavy, but you can get it to turn with some careful trail braking and throttle use (nice rear-bias to the AWD). For tracks, there are some new tracks that I'm pretty sure will be a time trial or race in Orlando:

- Monza - we haven't talked about this one, but it's a new track for GT5. I would assume a tuned car would be unleashed on this...or maybe Godzilla in the rain
- Madrid - ridiculously technical, I could use as many laps as possible on a course like this
- Top Gear Test Track - I would hope they don't have us racing on this course (pushing people into tire barriers), but I bet you get a stock GT-R on this for one of the next time trials.

Thats another thing when it comes to the 4wd will we be able to switch the distribution of power when it comes to the time trial? I assume not

It would be interesting (I would prefer like 88/12). However, I would also assume not considering they don't even let you look at the vehicle settings menu for the current time trials. I actually hope they don't let you change it. The time trials are (and should be, in my opinion) an entirely controlled environment to judge 100% based on driving ability, not on someone's ability to tune.
