man i wish i knew the proper line for this course, i'm consistently over 36 seconds, more often over 37. if i can't improve soon my chances of sending in a time will go down.

Here's a tip,.... going into turn 2 (after 180), you want to scrub the dirt a little to get the butt around, dropping no lower than 85mph (136kmh), accel through, you should hit 100 (161) by the time your at the end of the concrete rumble strip on the left. Scrubbing the left side in the dirt for turn 3 is VERY important. You should be entering turn 3 at a minimum of 112 (180), over the rumble strip (acclel floored entire time), you should be exiting at 120 (193).

Turn 4, start high and duck down to the rumble strip, dropping no lower than 85 (136), and exiting at 100 (161). Take #5 full-bore, stay to the left up the hill so you can be as high as possible entering the cork-screw.

Good luck racing

Thanks for those tips, mate. :)

I got down to a 36.4** L1 T2, and a 36.7** L2 T2, but I feel I can improve on this.

As it is today, the X-port and Sharkport are compatible with a MAC. The bad news is, the software you need to run the Sharkport, is not.

So if you've got a MAC, your out of luck.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to run this tomorrow night. Hopefully...

Is your first lap time in "Free Run"??? Seems A LITTLE LOW to be from a standing start & in AI traffic!!!   ...UB57

Hang on, there's something wrong here. Sorry, UB57, it should be 42.4 L1 T2 (in race mode, AI as well), not 36.4. That's twice I've ****ed up, let's see if I can get it right next time.

If thats the case,.... you should be exiting the bottom of the screw half-way through 3rd gear ;) 👍

Stay high for the next left,... duck down as soon as you shift to forth, hitting the rumbs strip on the way through,... if the line is right, you'll never have to let off the gas ;) 👍

That's another tip I can use to my advantage to bring my time down even further - I've been putting two tyres off the tarmac just before the turn, turning in just before 4th, and letting off the gas for an instant of a second. I'd slip two tyres off the track on the apex and hit the dirt again at the end.

Well, apologies.

BTW, a note for EVERONE:

Call me John, goddammit, that's why I put my name in my sig!

THANX RED EYE RACER!!!
:D The type of help you're offering is just what I expected when Der Alta, Neon Duke & Boombexus announced this series, but have seen VERY LITTLE of so far. Glad you decided to join in, let the Flack sent your direction go away "Just like water off a duck's butt!!!"...UB57

One more tip that I need to point out:

When racing in arcade, the AI setup can vary (what cars start in what position). The line you want for turn one is an outside-to-inside one. To achieve this, you need to line up for it from the far right,. over by the dirt. Make sure you are drafting the AI all the way up the hill, as best posible (I've found that the TS020 and Viper are two good drafting partners for this area). There will be a moment when the AI will slip off, one goes outside, one goes inside. When that happens, you can dive right between them, and take over the lead while entering the 180, and still ensuring yourself a fast line.

Once you find an easy AI grouping to utilize this stratagy, DO NOT EXIT from the main race screen (race, replay, option,ect...). You can keep the same AI group as long as you dont exit back into the main arcade page.

Good luck racing

new race time last night session conclusion:

41.874 L1 T2

35.401 L2 T2

but i know ron is still giving me the business. he's gone quite mad.

Well, my first lap I am running constant 42.5xx but my fastest has been a 42.137. That is on lap one. On Lap two, the screw up lap for me, I am running 36.4 constant, but my fastest has been a 36.089. Just a little faster and I can get into the 41 and 35 clubs. Just a little faster. But on a side note, I can't seem to keep going at that pace late in the second lap. BTW Talentless, the speed can nail Turn 3 at is 115mph-116mph, take a little step further before hitting the turn. I also finally got the last turn of the race at 53mph. I am psyched. Gotta stop screwing up, and I'll have a competitive time. Late

Oh yeah,.... I've entered that thing at 120 and successfully exited at 125+,... but that's real tough to pull off with constistancy. Your right though, the target should be upwards of 115-118 if you wanna be flyin.

I tested a little at lunch today and found something that might help. Both times I've had a good group of AI to pass through, the TS020 was directly in front of me, and the Vertigo was in front of him. I pass the TS020 on the right, just missing the dirt, and slide inbetween the Zonda and 787b to begin the 180.

Have any of you guys tried this line for the first 180. Get behind the Fifth placed car right off the Line and draft. Go to the complete outside and angle yourself for the braking zone to go inbetween 3rd and 2nd place already having you angled into the first turn. You should pull to the middle of the exit blowing past the R390(that was my competition at the time). Any other suggestions for that turn would be awesome!

the lineup i use is:

1: 390
2: gt40
3: gtone
4: vertigo
5: camaro
6: big nasty

what i do is draft the camaro inside and go under the pit exit line pointed dead at the gtone. it moves over and i get as wide as possible while still on the inside of the gtone. i brake reletively late but hard entering the turn inside. have to brake late to beat the 390 into the turn by cutting it off. if you stay reasonably tight on the inside you can leave the turn without a rub from the 390. it's important to have a good exit from the turn as well because if you exit too far outside or feather the throttle, the 390 WILL make you pay. after that it's smooth sailing to the finish line.

i've gotten the 115 i can take the corner before t2 at near 95. but i just can't break 36 seconds.

what sould my t1 be?
