So if you've got a MAC, your out of luck.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to run this tomorrow night. Hopefully...

Cheers for the info ;)
A bit stupid if you ask me you can use the hardware but not the software
Well i was kinda expecting that it's the same old story for us mac users..

One more tip that I need to point out:

The line you want for turn one is an outside-to-inside one. To achieve this, you need to line up for it from the far right,. over by the dirt. Make sure you are drafting the AI all the way up the hill, as best posible (I've found that the TS020 and Viper are two good drafting partners for this area). There will be a moment when the AI will slip off, one goes outside, one goes inside. When that happens, you can dive right between them, and take over the lead while entering the 180, and still ensuring yourself a fast line.

:D Thanx Red Eye Racer for this lesson. Took 2 full seconds off my 2 Lap time w/inside line even though I haven't perfected your move yet.

BTW: DO NOT run 100+ Laps in your Vitz (Laguna Seca Enduro), then jump in the C5 & try to do well!!! For the first 10 Laps the C5 seemed like a Rocket Ship!!! Thanx again...UB57
:D

Now Im at the point where I am laying down times that are acceptable, but still not within 3 tenths of my best individual laps.

I think it will be atleast another day before I can match my individual best laps with a set of laps.

Then it will be another day or so atleast (if at all) before I can beat my best individuals with a set of laps.

I dont know what I can do to take off much more time besides consistantly working on the first turn and last turn.

The corkscrew is no problem at this point, but then again, Ive been practicing the corkscrew since I had to worry about the license testing.

Oh well... I'll be back with progress soon.

Alright!

Now I have made some progress and just did a set that I might end up turning in for the end time I use.

Heres the deal...

In my previous sets I was coming with in .6 of my best first lap every time.

On the second lap I was staying within .3 of my best.

Just a moment ago I finished with a first lap that was almost .5 under my best to this point. (that means I hadnt come near getting my best first until now... sorta scary for me to think about)

And a second lap that beat my best with in the same tenth of a second.

Now all I need to do is run another billion laps making sure that this is the best I can do.

For the most part I am confident that I have just made my best set I am going to.

I wont be able to get much time in for this race so I am deciding to skip it this week. I have a question though, If I dont do a race does it count against me? Like will it drop me down a class?

I dont really know about whether or not you will be dropped in class.

I wouldn't worry.

I believe that racer class is probably something that will take weeks of consistant racing to change.

I would ask boom about this.

You could also just turn in what little bit of work you have done and even if its not good, you would still pull your current class's average time.

Don't sweat it and pm boom.

good luck, but dont drop...

I didn't [I hope!] do to badly. I'm extremely satisfied wiyh my times, which are as follows:

L1 T2: 41.9**
L2 T2: 36.8**

I'm sure that this is enough to ensure me a top-ten time, at least (HOPEFULLY!).

man...i played a lot today...i think i got an L1 T2 time of 42.4, and L2 T2 time of 36.4...unfortunately they wernt in the same race!! If i could only get those times together......then i'd be a pro too :( hehe. i think my best L2 T2 ive got for my best lap save is 36.6 right now....but i know i can get better. I just gotta calm myself down, i do good on the first lap, then i get all jittery and jumpy and blow it on the second lap....haha...maybe i should lay off the mountain dew while im racin.....💡

sand storm change ya sig.......dude get it right
and u can re submit your best time if u want to update it

NZ=1 OZ=0 hahaha that sounds so good to say.

Dodge'll beat me this time though.....:(

T2 43.XXX
T2 37.XXX

Anyways with TCS off how do you get the ***** of a car off the line.....quickly. Cant seem to do it. Its why I lose so much time off the start. Any sugestions would be sweet.

BTW i use a controller not a wheel

I start off in second gear, with a light touch of the throttle. It will still spin in second easily but if you do it properly it will be a whole lot quicker.

BTW (don't ask me why I'm assisting you, Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekael), I usually (when starting) use half-throttle to get off the line, because it helps me a lot.

I use the DS2 and drive with an auto transmission, so starting off in 2nd gear is not much of an option. I'm still beating all AI to the first corner and getting L1 T2s in the high 42.xxx range though. On the line, I've got the tach right at red line when the clutch pops. I maintain the throttle until the needle drops to around 3500 rpm and then quickly but gradually get up to full throttle.

My L2 T2s are in the mid 36.xxx range.

My biggest problem is the last turn. I'm apexing (poorly) at sub-50mph, exiting at around 60. :irked:

I have really gotten used to the C5R and have taken 4 seconds off my race time, but I still have some work to do to make a proper showing.

did i hear this right: u beat me and thats all your worried about. u should waste me i suck......hehe

saaaaaaaaaaaand stoooooooorm you helped me cause u care.

You are in a league above me so im lucky to even get close to u.

Im not competing against u im competing against Dodge u r competing against HRT_Maloo and if i read it correctly he beat u.

And he'll do it again (wont u HRT)

Anyways thx for the help i shoudl improve my time now

Yeah, I know... I just never took the time to get used to a manual. I know it's not the same, but I do occasionally downshift manually and frequently use the R2 to hold a gear. Every once in a while I'll run a race using manual, but for OLR, I don't think I would come close to my auto times.

I suspect that I could get even faster if I mastered the analog sticks, too, but I just don't see that happening.

i shall rephrase then

AMATURE LEAGUE

New Zealand(me)=1 Australia(dodge)=0

PROFESIONAL LEAGUE

New Zealand(HRT_MALOO)=0 Australia(you)=0

I got a hole lota them and ill post them in comedy corner soon.....:D

You use D-Pad?

Analog is only the best ever thing to happen to GT!

Me. If you want, I can start using manual and kick HRT_Maloo's arse. If you want, that is.

Meeeeeekael, I thought I bet Oz in Pro league (Supra) as well, Ill need to check on that.

And John, clean out your ****ing mail box cos now youve got two of the same PMs coming from me;)

Hey meekeal...i wouldn't be so sure on the qualifying race. I did some laps today and got a VERY low 1:24, with a T2 of 50.749....on the corvettes, i think meekeal will win this one...

L1 T2 = 43.3xx
L2 T2 = 37.4xx
