Some may recognize this race. I still think it's a great one. It was used in the 9 Boards Challenge 2.

This race has proved to be quite a challenge as it is difficult to capture the #1 spot versus the AI. So the competition can be fierce.

The Car: Honda Integra Type-R '98 (J), Fully modded, your choice of tires.

The Track: Seattle

The Race: Arcade mode, Single Race, Normal (3 lapper.)

The Rules:

1. No wall touching.
2. Contact with the AI is allowed as long as it doesn't provide you with a advantage. Keep the contact light.
3. Rumble strips are part of the track.
4. Paved areas on the other side of the rumble strips are part of the track.
5. No hybrids
6. No cheating of any kind.
7. No eye gouging.
8. Save your replay.

Time Discussion: All "T" times and Laps 1+2.

The Deadline: Monday at midnight, Sept. 9th. 0700 GMT.

When sending in your final times, could you please include the division you are in along with your final time. Thanks.

Im pretty sure it is...i cant remember every single race we've done but i dont believe we've ever had a fwd car before

Boom,

Since i've only done the registration race I am still in the beginner class, how would one move up to the next class, by doing a few PRO class times for example ?

Thanks man

Yep, if you can show a consistent ability to run with the divisions above you, that's how you advance

Will start tonight to give me a whole week to do this, this was my 2nd car, so I should know it by now ... hopefully, otherwise I really suck

just tried doing some laps...good lord. is it even scientifically possible to come in first place w/out intentionally smashing the crap out of everyone else??

Scratch that, is it even possible to go the whole race w/out touching anyone else period and still get a fast time? :irked: What is the definition of "light" contact anyways? Heres a good question....if you get around an opponent cleanly in a turn, but afterwords he comes back up and hits the back of you, is that considered to your advantage since he gives you a little boost? hes the one that hit you, but is that considered "blocking" or somthing?

ugh, know what you mean! I've just spent about an hour trying to fine tune the car (I don't really understand all the suspension bits though), sort of found a set up I'm ok with. But I had to really work hard to keep my 3rd place! I managed to get into 2nd once, but then I got bumped into a wall from the guy behind me. grr, this is an annoying race, I don't think I'll ever be able to do it without scraping the wall a few times or bumping into the AI cars

I just checked the Prize Car list, and can't find this listed. Can some one confirm you can't win one? Just wanted to make sure before I go out and spend my hard earned Credits and buy it.. ;)

After the ill-handling GT-R, I was really hoping that this week would be a FR or MR, but this challenge sounds cool... :)

If it's not listed on the FAQ's here, the one with the list with pics, then you can't win it. I bought it right in the beginning, and never saw one again ... after doind the beg. and ama. leagues 100% complete ...

Im kinda feeling the same way as made in holland.

I hate these arcade races.

The ruf at trail was the same way...

I might get some times in, but who knows... either way Im still gonna be coming back to see behn prove his 1.16.8 in the amatuer from week 28.
As well as some talk out of hunter killer... (putting in a time that was just a hair faster than mine... good job, just as long as it's real)

Anyway, so yeah... maybe I will race this week a bit, but for now, I just wanna see stuff in the results thread.

You are an evil man, boombexus. That was one of the hardest races in BCv2. I'm going to pass this week. I've got plenty of other racing to do but I'll be checking in every day or so. I can't wait to read all the frustrated posts by the end of the week.

At least the Integra is easier to handle than last week's car. I can't wait to see what kind of times I can pull with this car on this course...

Hello there.. Havent done a weekly race in a while and still won't for a month or so since I forgot my GT3 when I was on vacation.. :(

But still I got gt2 and I wonder if it's ok I throw in a time out of competition? This week suits since the integra is in gt2 and so is a 3lapper of seattle (haven't got the arcade disc, only gt disc).

If it's ok then what are your hp and weight for the integra? I won't buy the racing mod and I thought it would be fun to see if it is comparable at all between gt2/3.

Yeah that's ok, it will be interesting to see how the times between GT2 and GT3 compare.

K thanks boombexus! the race I found won't probably be as hard as yours but I still have another unlocked 3lapper to investigate..

I have a pretty good setup going I think. I'll run it in Arcade mode and see what happens...

WTH?!?! I can't even get in front of the Vertigo! How am I supposed to provide my lap times when I can't make it out of last place?!:( I used to be so good at this game too...

I just remembered a race in the Simulation mode that is also 3 laps at Seattle. The Amateur American Cup I think has a race there. I was wondering if maybe we slower racers could use that one instead...?

If the AI initiates the contact it's ok.

So if i go thru a turn, and cut the to inside of an opponent, if he turns into me thats ok? As long as im not blatently using him as a bumper right?

Right. 👍

Also if you have contact with a AI that would be sever enough to disable or seriously damage your car, then start a new race. ;)

Is the game not recording your times because you finish in last place? The race ends before you have crossed the finish line?

cool. Just trying to establish what is "legal" and what isnt here cuz theres no way you can get thru a race w/ no contact
