guess we'll just have to trust u then
most people as fast as u obviously are .... go out of there way to prove there legitimacy ! i suggest u get 1 unless u have reservations :mischievous:

hey i am only giving you the facts man , eventually someone will call u out in a real verification comp and if you dont supply the goodies  you will be drummed out in a flash ,
my advice is get a replay device asap and then you can hush doubters in a single post (feels good shoving it in there faces :mischievous: )
anyway i believe u man , but !! ...getting the sector doesn't mean the paintwork is still in tact ;) laters

No, the paintwork is most definitely not intact!

On the entry into the corner I run along the wall, and on the way out I always brush the wall (hey, the rules say no hitting! :mischievous: ).

My times have been submitted am going to the Aus Gp on the weekend followed by a HUGE i-link day on the Monday so today was the only time i could get a run in!
Best T2 47.107 have fun all once you can cure the tailhappiness of this car its mighty fun to drive
I would expect some guys to possibly run 45's -44's

I think they need to be interpreted as no hitting ANYTHING ;)

best clean save so far has a 46.834 T2 :D

Im running T2's of 47.439 at the mo still room for improvment :)

This is the setup im using

Springs 12/12
Ride height 58/60
Bound 8/7
Rebound 7/8
Camber 2.0 / .7
Toe -5 /0
Stabilisers 5/6
Brakes 15/21
LSD's Default
Tranny auto 33
Downforce maximum
TCS level 7

Can anyone suggest any changes i could make to this setup
The setup seems ok for the first and second corners i can normally keep on the gas to get through these
But turns 3 / 4 / 5 the back end flick outs mostly on the right hander just after T2

Any help will be most welcome
Cheers :)

Try this,... I havent raced yet,... but this is how I would start:

Springs 7/14------
Ride height 58/60
Bound 10/10------
Rebound 10/10-------
Camber 2.0 / .7
Toe -2/-2-------
Stabilisers 5/6
Brakes 15/21
LSD's 5/5/5-------
Tranny auto 33
Downforce maximum
TCS level 3-----

JMO 👍

Thanks Red eye Racer & MIH for the suggestions i will give them a go when i next race ;)

Nice T2.s from you guys 👍
I wonder if i can go that fast :D

Is the "sidewalk" between the last two corners considered part of the track (I think it should be, but it's not a rumble strip or black and yellow).

If so, has anyone successfully used it to get a better line through those last two corners?

We need a call on the first corner too,. If I remember correctly,... there are a few cones there,.. can we hit the cones and cut onto the outside of the rumbles,... as long as we dont touch the walls?

Basically,... is the ONLY rule - dont touch the walls?

i think it should be 100% clean rule as per norm .. rumbles/ kerbs allowed but no cone banging as it is messy ;)
i know if i hit a cone i start to cry and start again :(

the last section with the kerb is good for optimizing the final bend , just gotta hold it clean while your surfing it ;)

Update.. tried those settings as suggested by Red eye which worked well for me pulled a T2 of 46.995 nearly 500th's of my previous lap time
So those small changes where for the better
Thanks again Red eye 👍

After a few runs with this setup i altered them slightly ..
I lower the springs by 1 and both dampers buy 1 & also raised the ride height as suggested by MIH
I not quite sure that this is what i will stick with even though i pulled a T2 of 46.385 with these settings but it was also my fastest lap so far almost half a second

But the lap unfortunatly is invalid due to skelping the walls on the last two turns  I guess i got over excited that i was on a blinder of a lap and then screwed it up on the last turns oh well thats the way it goes
*EDIT*

*After further investigation it turns out that the lap was invalid just before T1 where i scraped the wall at turns 3 & 4 so it was not a good first stint as i first thought
I knew it was too good to be true :(*

My best clean lap still stands at 46.995
I will keep at it
Thanks again for the suggestions guys ;)

@sandstorm. all i have to say is; do the right thing. if you are banging off walls or misrepresenting yourself (not that i am accusing you), you are dishonoring YOURSELF. without honor a man is nothing so i suggest that you fly straight. again, i am not accusing you of cheating but that time is very very fast especially when you couple it with saying you just gave it a quick shot. i MIGHT hit 46.2 clean but only after a LONG go of it and likely multiple sessions. since you can supply no evidence, i will say that it is STRONGLY against you right now. i can only speak for myself but i can pretty much guarantee that some of the other guys around here have been around the block just as much as i have and seen this exact type of situation deteriorate into an ugly incident and an eventual banning. if you do try to cheat, you'll eventually be busted cause we know every trick in the book. fortunately, the cheater is usually just to inexperienced and eventually makes a critical error. it WILL be spotted. so do us all a favor and confess now or big ups from me on your unreal T2 👍

Well I dont know if anyone is cheating or anything of the sort, but I can say this.

I have noticed since the first race that people are randomly pulling down times as the racing goes on.

What I mean is...

person A turns in a t2 of 49.0
person B turns in a t2 of 48.5

Then a pro gets a 47.5
So person A comes back with a 47.3

Then person B comes back with a 47.0

Then some random person gets a 46.9

The cycle continues like that and it is always aggrevatting to me because I never pull the big dog pro times, So I cant see people who did horribly on the qualifier doing as well as the big dogs without a replay for evidence.

Props to all of you pulling great times and even more respect to those with replays to back them.

Although, for the record, my suspisions have slowly risen over the course of the past three races.

I just feel bad cause I still dont know a damn thing about these freakin x port devices none the less where to get them or how they work, or exactly what they can do.

Any way, Im still bringing up the rear at the moment with t2's in the 49's.

Oh well, I never said I was the best.

To: Wastegate & Red Eye Racer:

:D :D Thanx for the SETTINGS!!! Used a bit from each of you & a "dash" of my own to lower my T2 time almost 3 seconds!!!:D :D

SECONDLY:
  Has anyone else noticed this, or am I dreaming??? I write down everything, so I think I'm seeing this correctly. My OBSERVED time, (Both T2 & Total Lap) DO NOT match the times I observe in "REPLAY THEATER". Granted it's a minor difference, ranging from .009 to .031 seconds, but which one do I use??? Also the observed Lap time in "REPLAY THEATER" doesn't match the time LISTED in the lower right hand corner of the saved info box. Thanx in advance...UB57

NP 👍 and yeah,. it's known that when 'watching' a replay,. it's slighly faster than the replay 'file'. Use the time in the replay 'file' :)

@Gokents- some people will state their best time that they've seen as to some state the time in the replay. When I talk about my T2's,.. I always make sure to specify if it's one that I've seen or if it's from the replay. Unfortunately, not everyone remembers to be that specific :irked: 👍

2 things:

1.) @ gokents, just do what you can do. long ago i spent many hours vainly chasing the times of the faster racers. i hammered and hammered and chipped away till i was in the same class. i have no god-given talent, i just bring my lunchpail to challenges. as far as who'se times to trust, think of guys like boombexus, made in holland, and my most esteemed buddy mr.p. the bar is high, but you know you're getting the real deal from these charachters. (not that you other guys are suspect 👍)

2.) @ UB57, the reason your actual replay shows a slightly faster time is that for some reason the replay cuts the last frame off when it plays. the time submitted should ALWAYS be the one listed on the replay info page.

To GoKents:
:D Only have three things to say concerning X-Port, GET ONE, GET ONE, GET ONE!!! Found mine (Sharkport-same thing) covered w/dust in an electronics store for USD $25.00. Best investment I've made. I've learned soooooo much from viewing replays graciously provided by some of the faster racers here. You can talk about "Lines" & "Braking Points" all you want, but SEEING them is priceless. Installing & using it is "Walk in the Park"...UB57
:D

To Max E. & Red Eye Racer:
:D That makes sense at the finish line, but am also seeing it happen @ T2??? Thanx...UB57
:D

As much as i would like to own a Xport it's just not possible

The reason being Im using a Macintosh and from what i hear the Xport hardware is compatable with the Mac the software is not ..
it's the same old story for us mac user's everything is mainly PC orientated

Until they develop one for the Mac then i will definatly run out and get one
Also using a mac (as i have mentioned before ) i cannot view replays that are XPS or SPS for the same reasons unless they have been converted to Mpegs

And the only other option for me is to buy a PC but thats hardly economical just for a Xport

@ Max e the link you posted dos'nt work :)

I too only just recently noticed the sector times being faster :odd: I knew the end of lap time was faster but never noticed the sector changes, I suppose now I think about it, it's obvious  hence the faster lap time at the end :odd: :P

I always submit the time it says on the file save and never the replay itself. As for T2's ..well now I know to look in replay theatre if I want to look that .1 faster on T2 :P

oh and new best t2 acheived in a lap...46.6

hmmm... i guess that theory about the last frame is shot to hell. time to find a new one.
