i know the frustration my best lap was a 26.4 through t1 and i cant seem to finish as good as i did even though i always beat my best ghost to t1.

this car does not handle well. it's too much corner exit oversteer; bad brakes and doesn't turn well unless it's going 70 or fewer.

Can't exit corner-oversteer be corrected by more toed-in rear camber for example ? ;) Like 1.0 ?

And the brakes on this car should have the same power as any other cars in the same class. This thing weighs so little, it should be braking very sharp !? Put it on 24/24 and see how that works.

Try this :

Play around with the Rear springs.

Front Bound - Stiffen eg . 9
Front Rebound - soften eg. 6
Rear Bound - soften eg. 6
Rear Rebound - stiffen eg. 9

Initial LSD : Lower than default
Acceleration : Lower as well

Hope that helps, as I cannot believe that this car does not perform like a Honda should !
:D I love 'em ...

Well, I still dont have a keeper thats acceptable.

However, I do have some nice indicators of what I can do...

24.5 is now common.

(horns blasting in glorious triumph)

1.06.1 has also been seen.

1.06's are now being seen quite a bit... I think I've almost got the settings down.

Its just a matter of time before I can put down one of these laps and get something worthy up here for the final results.

I should also mention that the 1.06.1 was not all alone. 1.06.2 is coming around a bit also, and for that matter, those laps are coming down with mid/high 24's at the t1.

I'll be back with something definate later on.

till then...

"Lady Di's mistake was letting a man drive."

i object to this since 9 out of the 10 worst drivers i know are all women. and the other guy might as well be.

I'd like to argue that, but you're right :( (Most women are bad drivers). But that's because you guys have been telling for years that 6 inches is actually a foot :embarrassed: , and 30 minutes is all night

If Lady Di had been driving, it couldn't have turned out worse, could it? :D

When it comes to GT3, there's two ladies racing here, and both seem to be beating you! :mischievous:

That's my goal. I'm not here to talk, just want to get better. 👍 and you guys are helping!

Wait a sec

Thats not cool, thats not cool at all.:(

jk :D

Good news to all the beginners out there (myself included). It turns out that I will have a chance to get a time in this week! I expect to have an idea of how well I should do by tomorrow evening. Glad to see the race under way, and God Speed to all the other racers.

Nope.

Just for reference, Toe-in is moving the slider left. eg. it will be (- 1.0)
The number's right this time, but that's toe-out (as Talentless said/asked) ;), and yes it would help the problem.

The role of the shocks in the exit cornering is mostly dependant on the relationship between Front Rebound/ Rear Bound (don't know if that makes sense, but it's true heh). If Front-RB is lower than Rear-B, this makes the car tight after the turn, and induces exit oversteer. The opposite would obviously make the car more loose and control oversteer/induce exit understeer.

The LSD part's good, like 5/5 would be good.

Lowering both spring rates and keeping them close together also might help with the exit oversteer, since the car will have less 'bounce' or back-to-front roll.

Then again, maybe you (Talentless) just need a little less throttle, if it's power-induced oversteer. ;)

@ kragbees - Hope you don't take offense to this post, as I'm not trying to pick on you or anything, just trying to help out. :)

:irked: I should be able to get 1'06's that low if i could actually get my T1's down...the best i can seem to do is 25.0 i saw a 24.7 ONCE and i dont how the hell that happened cuz it didnt even feel like i was going that fast, of course i screwed the rest of the lap up

 ;)

I've been getting my butt kicked by this weeks race. :( The suspension makes it sluggish, and I'm getting buckets of oversteer. 👎 Maybe because I'm tired and it's been a long week at the club.

The weekend is packed full, so I'm hoping get 20 more laps in without :banghead: on the walls. Didn't make any improvements today.

Ellegance,
The suspension makes it sluggish, and I'm getting buckets of oversteer.

You might try VG30DETT's settings. I was getting the same problem with excessive oversteer when exiting corners. The settings really tightened up my car's handling on this track. I managed to drop a full second off my 3rd sector time today.

I'm at 25.6/1'09.2 after about 5 laps with the default settings. Couldn't be bothered to change anything, it's getting too late here. Maybe I'll have more time for this in Monday night, but might not be able to submit. Oh well, good luck everyone.

bout time i was gettin 27s 1:10s -11s but now i got low 25s and mid 1:08 makin my total time a good 1.8mins faster. after 60km on the clock im starting to get somewhere

1.8mins faster :D You started out slow I assume ;)

now its 25.1xx and 1:08.2xx bettering my total lap time by .6 seconds.

how do you nigotiate (cant spell) the hairpin and the long left hand corner at the top of the hill (after the first corner. as i cant get the line right around that long corner then into the right hander afterwards. otherwise im just about going as fast as i can at the moment
