The handbrake?

Hmmmmm I personally like to correct my lines through corner's with carefull throttle controll. Thank you DS2 controller and its pressure sensitve buttons allowing you to say be at half throttle or minimal braking.

Just my thought on the topic.

how can anyone controll the buttons well enough with such little movement. they move like 1/16??

Ok, I'm in, I just need to work up enough money to buy and tune this car (best option: Pro DCC, but right now i'm on the 4th most tedious race in the game; the 15 laps at Test Course...)

Jpec, European Championship is the fastest way to earn good cash. 5 races, i think 3 laps each. Just do save/reload trick to win vertigo and you've got urself 300 000 credits, plus race bonus, and championship bonus for a total of say 30 minutes if you decide to drive really slow. If you've got an F1, half the time should almost take care of it.

I don't think 300,000 won't cover the cost of the parts and the car itself. I'll run it 2ce through and see how I hold out (money-wise).

Meh, I'll just use my other gamesave...

I have actually gotten very good......helps alot on the license tests when you can pull a couple car lengths ahead of your last ghost just because you launched with alittle less throttle...... seems easy enough to me now.... I always have it on in my replays and I've noticed I do it alot around long bends and exiting corners.

Well on to another subject..... I will have more time to compete seeing how as I got layed off Wed.... not the greatest job but hey money is a good thing..... lol my lap times are much improving but still not up to par its seems

Best T1: 24.9's
Best T2: 1'07.2's

Fastest Lap T's
T1: 25.5
T2: 1'07.5

Now if only it would all come together.

Let me know what you think.... I know the gears are long but they seem to work well around the corner's.

I'm having alot of trouble with this car. Maybe my driving has gone downhill a bit (haven't played GT3 in over a week), but The rear end keeps slipping and throwing me into a spinnihs crash-course with the nearest wall. it's got me all mad nad disheartened inside (or am I just hungry?). Can someone help? I'm using Ellegance's settings and an slipping to no end...

Here's my current T-times:
T1: 0'25.582
T2: 1'09.603

Hot! Damn! its a new time.

best save 25.2xx 1,08.3xx If only I could get my T1 down
I cant believe I got a 1,07.xxx only too screw it up :banghead:

Alright...

Now that I finally managed to get a clean lap that I can turn in, I think it's time to mention something.

For all who doubt the hand/E-brake...

24.902 -> 1.06.111 -> ? ;)

I would suggest using the hand brake to anyone who is having trouble with the hairpin.

I also wanna mention that I have seen a few 24.4's

So with any luck, I may be able to pull a 1.05.8 or lower.

However, will that happen? I can't say at the time.

Im just glad to keep one of my 1.06's with a time that is reasonable.

The keeper still isn't balls to the wall fast, but it will do for the time being.

I checked it, and its clean with only the closest of calls in the right spots.

So yeah, back later with any updates, but for now, it's off to "rips," the local bar, and my lil' bro's place of employment. (hence, free drinks for the kent :D )

till next time...

Oh yeah, it's good to see some new faces around here, keep working at it fellas, and if any of the green newbies need a word of advice about anything for the race, just hit me with a pm or something.

bye...

Well, not sure how respectable my times are, but I can't complain. Tried a few of the suggested settings as a base, and modded them a little.

My best lap time so far led with this...

24.490
106.928

I did have a lower 106.4 earlier in the night, but my end lap time was about 0.004 sec slower. Hope my overall time was worth the first serious effort in the races.

I don't usually feel the need to h-brake. maybe I need to. I have so much trouble with lines.

fully moded means all the upgraded parts on your car. No restrictions

Hmmmmmm.... all my times were without the e-brake.... I would just brake then let off the gas and let it coast around the corner till I could mash the gas again. I just might try this.

BTW, I'm in! Put me on "Ze Liste"

Did you do the qualifier?

Go check that out if you didn't.

It's in the same area as this race. (the weekly race series forum)

Also, remember to keep your replays.

We don't always do this, but at times some people will turn in a time that is questioned by others.

With out the replay, you can't provide your replay data (or a sharkport save) and at that point, if you can't ante up, you may be in some trouble with the average racer.

So the bottom line.

Do the qualifier.

Save your replays.

Always follow the rules.

Have fun with the racing and good luck.

Of course, this should all be taken note of by anyone new to the series.

I love seeing new people in the series. Just as long as you keep it clean and honest. :D

Btw, being that idafc is still working on matching my current times, I would suggest that anyone who can match my time keep hold of their replay.

Sorry to get touchy, but racing is racing :mischievous:

Lol yes Racing is Racing Kent...... lol like when your playing having an i-Link battle with friends and some ass come's flying across the road and nails you and takes you out of the race because he cant keep a decent line?!??!?!

Sorry..... happened a few times last night during an i-Link escape with me and a few chaps.... we finally found the 6 port i-Link hub.... and for 5 bucks!!!

No new updates on this weeks race..... I think I may already have my best lap time..... and no where near Kent and the others *sigh*

Looks like I might submit another sucky time this week. I'm still at work and it looks like I won't be going home anytime soon :grumpy:

Could someone please remind me NEVER EVER to buy another Promise raid controller :(

Cheers and happy racing........

i spent about 180km on this even and my time was up after about 80 - 90km i just cant get any faster so i submitted my time. i think i was 25.2 and 1:08:5xx but dont quote me on that.

Check here for more information on qualifying...

You do realize you could have qouted about a fifth of that. :D

Im not sure, but I think the towel from my corner is in the ring.

The 1.06.111 is on the table and for that matter, on my computer.

Replay will be posted as soon as the results thread is up.

Of course, if my interest stays with the race I might get in some more racing for this race. Only time will tell.
