Glad to see you join the fun HareTurtle! Still lots of time left. My fastest T2(clean run) is around 41.7 I find that if you take out the R390 or the F094s before the Zonda it seems a bit easier.

Well, so far the Zonda seems to keep my top spot. I have been tuning the Denso Supra and have come close to my Zonda time. My best in the Supra so far is T2 44.xxx, but that's only changing the downforce and gear ratios so there's still room for improvement.

Thanks for the Oreca Viper settings -Spool-. They instantly dropped a couple secs off my best time. I don't think I'll be using it for this week's race though.

I've spent about 2,000,000 cr this week buying cars and tuning them for this weeks race. Oh well, they're all sweet cars and most of them I wanted anyway. Plus I still have ~4,000,000cr left. I hope to get a few more laps in tonight so I can at least modify some more stuff on the Denso

I tried almost all the LM rc's and none could really keep up with the Zonda rc

best clean T's

T1 11.601 best 11.0xx
T2 41.824 best 41.5xx

Might I add this car is verry drifty but at least its fast :D

EDIT : I guess its probably this drifty because I,m running 0ASM and 0TCS and only 1.10 rear DF :P

I just put down a 42.9 clean.

Unfortunately, it was more like a clean 43.3 that was balls to the wall fast instead of a normal 42.9.

I should be able to pull a few more and get lower final times, but Im not holding out for that, it's the 42.6 that I'm holding out for.

Btw, those times are of course with the supra... castrol supra that is.

Well I improved my best lap time, very clean but made about two or three mistakes on breaking and it could have been like .4 or .5 seconds better.

T1: 0'11.016
T2: 0'41.491

My best T times so far have been 10.9xx and 41.1xx but unfortunately..I've banged the walls hard due to trying to take corners as quickly as I can:D

No problem guys, glad I could be of some help. As for me, I still can't get any lower than a 42.932 in the ZZII, But I am gonna use it instead of the ZRC.

My best T2 is in the 40's, but I havent had a clean run yet. One was close to clean, but I wasnt happy with it anyways. Best T1 is 10.8

No more time for this race :( no time from me again this week..

Where could I get the Zonda Race car fast? I donĀ“t have it so IĀ“m driving with the Vertigo.T2 times with Vertigo are about 44.xxx seconds. I need to get faster :)

Well, after 45 miles, it's apparent that I can't control cars with this much HP. Just can't muster the concentration to get it there.

I'll post up a T2 of 42.3 and that's my best run to date. Gotta take the monsters to Providence as they're going to be on the cover of a magazine.

That'll wrap up my time for this week.

RScosworth,

I suggest you take the vertigo to the dtm race series in sim mode, then buy a supra. The castrol is far more competitive in the non-zonda class and handles almost as well as the vertigo. (although the vertigo still has it beat on handling.)

Well good luck with that.

Der Alta,

Good luck with the monsters and if you are having trouble handling the zonda, Im gonna send you some settings in a pm.

Talk to all of you again later.

btw, Im gonna hybrid a car for the fun of it and the one thing Im gonna do is put a supra engine in a vertigo, should be one hell of a ride, f1 pwr. Im not gonna be using it for this race or anything, as you will see, Im turning in a pathetic castrol time and replay.

Anyway, till later.
---
edit:
I just did that quick hybrid and it was pretty sweet. The power wasn't exactly what I expected because I used a vertigo and only changed the engine to a denso engine. Because of that, I went to get mods after I loaded the game and it would only allow me to buy the original mods for the original vertigo engine. Hence, it's an NA tune 2 denso engine running with turbo and 830 hp. .9 pwr .07 twr.

Its fast and ran a first lap of 42.4, so it was fun. Maybe it's the vertigo that should have been. But it held together well and would serve as an excellent car for a hybrid race. Anyway, thats it for me, maybe a few laps in the castrol, but I doubt it.

Till later.:)

take her back in MK's, throw a regular supra engine in it, give it all the supra engine upgrades (in mk's) so you get over 1000hp, then race her. :D

Thanks for advice GoKents. I tried the Zonda C12S (or something like that), but it understeers like a maniac. ItĀ“s not possible to drive that thing :). IĀ“m going to post some times witj a Supra (maybe) later.

How did you have the zonda tuned? I mean, generally, unless you tune it the wrong way, it should carry you to victory...

Glad I could help... you get something like 30 grand each first place at the german touring car champ races, so it shouldn't take you too long to work up some major cash.
(you also get a bonus for the overall champ as well as a prize car.)

The vertigo will handle those german cars easy, and once you manage to get some major cash, try and get yourself a castrol supra. It breaks in to be the same power as the denso and is (imo) the best racer in it's class.

good luck, and glad I could help.

Ok.. I drove the Supra for few laps and the T1 times were something about 11 seconds and the T2 times were about 44 seconds. I have still some spots where I can improve the time.

The Castrol handles almost as well as the Vertigo? In my humble opinion the Castrol is the tightest car in the game. On rails.. To each his own. (I haven't got a great tune on my Vertigo)

well like you said, to each his own.

I personally feel that the vertigo at 3.0 camber front and rear is hands down the stickiest car in this weeks comp. (make that 3.0/2.5;) )
But like you said, to each his own.

btw, I made a little progress and figured I owed you all the truth :D

42.4's are now coming down with some regularity. I have a clean 42.8 save that is just what it should be on the final time, and on top of that, Ive got a bit more time to run laps.

So hopefully I will have a 42.5 in for the final time of the week.

Until next time, looks like I am going to match the 42.8 more easily than I thought. Pulled a good time just a moment ago and feel satisfied for the time being. Should get in some laps tonight before bed, and then tomorrow when Im not working on editing my research paper or at school.

Later.

Well I've still got a way to go B4 getting near most PPL's times here, but I think I've got the right car now.
Could someone clear this up for me though. On the car spec and setting screens the car is at 812 HP but when i saved my best lap I noticed it said 779 HP on the actual save. Also the time on the save ain't the same as the one on the replay when u watch it. What do I go by?

Also how the hell do you turn off the ghost car! It is doin my head in the amount of times I have screwed up a lap cos i couldn't see where i was goin. I went to the options and though i had turned it off but it still appeared.

Hi filmfan:
:D Welcome to the GTP Forums. DO NOT go by replay footage info! For some reason the replay stops just short of your actual time. (Usually just a fraction of a second.) Also the HP shown is most probably without Oil Change...UB57
:D

Use the "SELECT" button to togle the "Ghost" on & off. (Courtesy of Der Alta)

cool just reread the first post and relized race cars were allowed I'm going to run the denso tomorrow I've been runnin the zzII now i have to change every thing :mad:due to my lack of reading skills  I should learn to pay better attention :mischievous:

Ok, zonda setup on the way. ;)

I dont think the hp difference on replay info is due to oil, I think it's just another one of the odd inconsistancies in the programing of the game. Reason I say that is due to my experience knowing that oil is changed and that its maxed out at the time, but still, replay info reads just a bit less than the actual.

"ditch the castrol"

Well, I can see why without doubt, the denso was a favorite of mine in gt2 right next to the "one." Two things about the castrol though...
one. it adds variety to the results, and hopefully I can put in a time that will represent the car well amongst the densos.
two. you can buy the car without worrying about winning it. For me that is not a problem (sharkport) but for others, it might be easier than running a series of 10 lap races. (I don't actually know the real race lengths or what series)

So, yeah, good luck to all and I hope I covered everything I wanted to mention.

Catch you guys later.

For the last time the ZZII is a race car! heheh.
Sorry but I've been too busy with torc to put in a run here. Interested to see if anyone ran the viper, imo that car is as good as the Tom's on some tracks.

havent really put much time into this race this week. :indiff: i work tomorrow, but not too late...we'll see what happens. i dont even have a clean save yet

Well I improved my time in the weekend like .2 secs less, but I still think I could have done better, I have no more time for today, so gonna send my time to boom now..good luck all:)
