Oh sorry if all misunderstood, but I'm trying both with Loctite and Denso, but the best one for me is Denso and will concentrate on it :)

Btw I just had a hell of a fast time:mischievous:
T1=0'23.978
T2=1'04.225

OMFG thats a good time, I'll have to have another go tomorrow, it's getting late here and I've got work in the morning.

I'm tired of finishing 2nd in my division, this week the top prize is all mine!

Cote d Azur is the track that I have my best performance, I guess as tighter the course, the faster I am..hmm..

Im no winner all the time, but I can run on occassion.

Anyway, just put in about 15 minutes and came down with a 1.05.9, but thats still really off of what I know I could have by the end of the week.

For now Im gonna be working on school work, but this race will get some of my time throughout the week.

Till next time.

btw, the dual shock 1 controller is not the way to go with this race. (of course I have no choice, but thought you guys would wanna know...)
tcs can be off on this one if you have throttle control, so good luck fellas.
Sorry Kent, didnt mean to leave you out or anything, but I haven't been doing many weekly race series lately if you've noticed. And I checked the results today, and saw ODP all alone at the top, so I only mentioned him. Plus don't think I forgot about your S2000 time around cote :P

I won't hide this from anyone, I will be using the Calsonic Skyline ONLY. It's my favorite arcade car I guess ( since BC3 ) Will have a first run or two tomorrow, when time allows for it. Welcome to all new racers, live4speed, NielsG and xAkirax2004. Hope you guys have fun while continuously improving your skillz ;) Good Luck

Not if I can help it heinrich. I'm tired of soon to be pro's kicking my ass in here lol.

Im going to get my podium finishes back (Div 2) . i did have a record with 3 raced entered and 2 podiums (Div 2) but now im falling back into the middle of the pack (Div 2). I hope to see some Div 3 's knockin on the Div 2's doors but so far it hasnt been the case. I guess we all need to try harder.

It's all good t13r, you know I noticed your times over at race line and pretty much decided instantly that keepin up with you is gonna be a whole hell of a challenge. (r34 at trail mtn anyone?)

I also noticed you said your sticking to the skyline... very interesting... I know you can make it work. I ran with it and it actually seems to feel looser than the other cars, so with the right touch, it may actually end up faster. (in your hands that is)

As for me... I just got back from school and haven't run a lap since earlier today when I did that quick session to try and match hienrich.

I should get in some laps soon enough though, but like I said earlier... night time is drinky time, not racing time. So I guess tomorrow will be my next chance to improve.

Anyway, I just want to add to all of this that I am quite happy with the weeks race setup, very nice boom. It's almost like you purposfully set this up just to get me back into the series. (being that last week I suggested a jgtc race and I have really loved cote since something like week 18 when we used the zonda race arcade to end with a max e first place and myself in second only a tiny bit behind. :D )

Well... talk to ya'll later.

well i did another 5 laps in the denso and well i got these times

24.322
1.05.789

a full 2.3 seoncds faster than my previous time

Small_Fryz is back

good good :)

the toughest sector is between the t1 and t2 sectors, quite hard to keep up, but if you do it, you'll be greatly rewarded:cool:

oh do i see someone doubting me

Yeah i know what ya mean. I can see where i can make up that extra second though. I will keep on keeping on:P

Cote D'Azur? fun track, the cars this week should amplify the fun. As soon as I get my homework done I shall attempt this, if I can stop shaking (just had percussion practice, and my muscles are now relieved of a very heavy load. I'm having to type at, like, 2 words a minute in order for you guys to be able to understand me.

lol not my intention, just trying to encourage you and step it up :)

When I see improvements of times, it encourages me also to get a good time, and that way I think we all help each other :D

Hmm I still dont understand something...the Autobacs and Sylvia cant keep up to the power of the Skyline and Supra..why getting those both cars as options?

maybe ODP should be forced to use them thatway he will have a challenge and we wont feel so bad

JKS

nah i dont know why

My time will probably not be that good this week as I have to send my PS2 out for repairs, won't get give me much time to improve on my time. But, I'll still enter the event for the hell of it. :-)

It looks like you guys are getting the same results I am. The mr and silvia are the top choices. I think I'm going to go with the mr, but dam that silvia is fast. The supras and NSXs suck on this one!

Interesting.

Thats sweet danoff, Im looking forward to seeing you put in a gt300 car time.

Btw, I think thats why those cars are in this... this is a jgtc race and those cars are part of it still. gt300 and gt500, just take a look at the hp and you'll probably notice that the stock forms of each car ends up with hp of about 3 or 5 hundred.

btw, boom, do you think we could also get some spoon race car action in this sucka. :D Please:D

Well anyway, Im glad to see there are so many that are enthusiastic about this race. Hopefully this wouln't mean Im left in the dust... Then again, this all just means Ive gotta use what limited time I have to the fullest.

The Autobacs and the RAZO do have a distinct power disadvantage. I just put them in there because. However, they are very nimble vehicles and Cote is a very tight track. What do you want? Power, or handeling?

No. :D

I don't want to see another S2000 in the Weekly for quite some time. The damn thing wins everything. Grrrrrr.

Is anyone else shifting a good deal before redline? I remember Famine talking about how all JGTC cars can do better when shifting around 6000 RPMs.

Keep an eye on your boost guage. The Skylines especially, will lose boost at high RPM's. I remember using the Calsonic and shifting around 6000 RPM.

EDIT: I meant the Calsonic Skyline and not the Loctite.

Cool, I can fully dig the spoon being out of this one... indeed it does take the races.

But hey, I like how you put it... power or handling... you decide.

If a vertigo can't hang with the supras on this track, a silver razo sure as hell can't either. Just a fact.

Hey... I think the vertigo may very well be able to hang... its just a matter of being in the right hands. ;)

Just let someone like t13r or max e. do some time with that puppy... trust me, the stock supra might have some trouble after all.

Hmmm, it looks like i dont have the silvia in arcade mode, anyone mind letting me know how i can get it? i am very interested in trying to get a time with it. thanks a bunch. - GBR

You must win the group one of arcade races in hard level for unlock the silvia.

ran a couple laps before I came to school this morning in the Denso Supra. Very stable car, really easy forme to drive. However, I was only seeing T3 times of high 1'07s. I'll race alot more laps this evening; maybe even in a faster car (castrol looks promising). Hopefully I can get a little faster; no sleper cars this week, so I'm just gonna say flat out what my car is...

I short-shift sometimes... helps keep the accelleration smooth.

I think it depends on what turbo is being used. I'm not an expert but this is how I understand things.
Turbos work effectively within a particular power band. If you go outside this range they don't work efficiently (hence the dump valve when you change up at high revs - you know, the loud hissing noise).
The turbo then has to build up pressure again to start working. This is turbo lag and you'll see it in effect because your acceleration rate will slow - sometime quite significantly - or you may even lose a few kph.

In the Denso Supra I've found that changing up around 6-6.5k revs keeps it in the power band and makes for smoother accelleration.

Hope this makes sense.
I expect someone with a lot more knowledge than me can explain it loads better (with diagrams probably) but I think I've got the basics pretty much right.

BTW just hit a last sector of 1:06.8... not great but not bad for my first proper clean run - cept I dinked the inside of the very last corner dammit - trying too hard not to hit the OUTside!.
