Max you wanna see my times and I of course don't have a sharkport and don't intend to blow 30 bucks to get one (already blew 30 bucks on the game, what can I say I'm a cheap bastard).
There must be some hoops I can jump through (other than posting a replay) that will satisfy you. I'm willing to post any of the sector times of any of my races in the archives and this one if that helps (though I don't still have all of the races saved... memory gets used up fast and I'm too cheap to buy another memory stick
)
I'll put up my sector times (not that you should really trust them since I could fabricate them now) for this race. I'll also put up a few digital stills of my run at different parts of the track.
I don't know what this "datalogger" stuff is people speak of. I'l l'll have to check into it.
Anyway, I'm more than happy to try to validate.

It didnt really affect me anyway as he was cheating in Div 1 and wasnt kicking my ass !! but ..... just wanted to say to Max E that I didnt want to sound off as much as I did, I just thought that it was a bit harsh typing that to Boom, thats all.

Since there is all this discussion about the sector times for this week's race, I'll go ahead and post mine so that you have another data point to compare heinrich to. We did get very similar final times.

look guys, if you think Mr P is a god and we should all bow to him.... I won't share that opiniion....he is a human and can make a mistake too, and just basing yourself on a person won't give you any conclussions.
I really hate when people start to make judgements without proofs, it has dissapointed me how a PRO(DIVISION 1) can be such a bad loser to not accept that there could be people from unknown that can beat the hell out of everyone.
And Max, you'll better start making from now a very good apoligize speech, because I'm going to shut your big old mouth, I guarantee it.

I think it has to be said things are getting a bit tetchy here and I for one think it's getting out of hand. Not everyone HAS and Xport or wants one or can afford one. Simple as that.
I never expect to see peoples replays, thats a bonus. I have to go on this thing we call TRUST. If someone wants to cheat then they'll cheat and you can't stop it. But this weekly series seems to be a lot of hassle to try figuring out good cheat times and so a bit pointless.
From what I know of most people here they feel that cheating in a race is cheating yourself. Most are, like me, long-time hardcore Gran Turismo players and fed up of beating their mates by a mile.
You might feel I'm more honest cos I HAVE an Xport and can upload my replays, but when I first started playing I didnt' have one. People had to trust me.
So, Max E why not just chill out a bit? I think Heinrich is on the up and I certainly am not so anally rententive that I can be bothered to check the complete analyser logs for a whole lap.
Lets just give it a rest, eh? All I want is some good, friendly racing, not a mud-slinging competition.

I found something positive. I managed a 17.206, which I guess places me well there.

I can see calling out someone for a fast time but "When I run the race". Why would one cheat anyway? What gratification is there in that? This kind of attack is only going to kill this series. Is it stated in the series rules that a shark-port/x-port is nessecary? Another option would be for HeinrichII to snail mail his memory card to Boombexus for reveiw. Until someone watches these runs it is unfair to label these guys as cheaters. Oh yah, I'm going to post replays of everyone of my runs in the upcomming ARC2. Be ready to post your replay too.

I'd estimate I've spent 3.5-6 hrs total trying to get a decent time. Pain in the ass it is. There several areas I havent found the right speeds for.

You would need to have a sharkport or an xport device to watch the replays. I don't know of any way to view then on a pc.

While I generally favor keeping things transparent and above=board, I can't help but think that a lot of acrimony and deleted expletives could have been avoided if this matter had been handled back-channel through the auspices of our capable race administrator. Perhaps these guidelines, borrowed from the GTF, should be adopted here:
"Etiquette:
1) All protests of, and challenges to, posted times should be done PRIVATELY and BACK CHANNEL (by email or instant messenger). NOT in a race thread.
2) Competitors should not email other racers accusing them of cheating, they should email the Race Director.
3) A protest by a competitor should be delivered via email to the race admin no later than 24 hours after the results are posted.
4) ALL race directors, spot or series, should NOT conduct a protest and peer review in the open in a race thead."
Having said all that, I wonder if Talentless would care to share his specific sector 4 and 5 times?
