finish!

I had trouble getting a shot of me crossing the finish line in the replay before the screen went blank. So I took a shot of the time in the analyzer (didn't come out very well)

I checked into the sector where I make up .2 seconds on Mr. P. Its the left turn into the first tunnel. I remember taking that one super fast using the strip on the left and getting on the gas really early for that turn.

Ok, well if anyone wants more information let me know.

Oh and I was going to mention that in some cases, you'll lose time on the next sector if you go too fast through one sector. So you can have a longer sector time that gives you a higher top speed at the end of the sector causing you to make up time afterward. The optimal path requires slowing down to come out of turns strongly.

This plot shows my time minus Mr p's time and Heinrich's time minus Mr p's time. Notice how similar the two are. I seem to gain on Mr. P at similar times as when Heinrich does and I seem to lose at similar times. In some cases, the amplitudes are quite different. You can draw your own conclusions about that.

Negative means I (or heinrich) gained time. Positive means we lost time.

Looking at the sector 4 and 5 numbers posted by various racers, there appears to be some inverse correlation. Here sector 4 is on the x axis and 5 is the y. The points are Mr P, Max, Danoff, and Heinrich. If all points were exactly on the trend line, Rsquared would equal 1.

That is interesting. I thought this was a joke at first, but now I'm thinking that this makes sense. Exactly what I was thinking, longer times in the sector before the turn can result in shorter times in the next sector. You slow down to take the turn at the right speed so that you exit with a high velocity sacrificing time in the turn for extra speed on the straightaway.

this is why my calculus teacher always say "mathematics, algebra and stuff related are beautiful" I didn't understand them till now...

you can always hook your PS2 to a VCR and mail off a video tape. Those are cheap

Then what do I do with the tape? Mail it? That's like 7 bucks right there (video + mail). I'd rather spend 30 and get something I might use than 7 for nothing. Maybe heinrich is willing to do that.

I thought I would also mention that I have beaten my t1 time (from the picture) by .2 seconds. So I know that it is possible to do so.

Edit: Never mind, that only affects section 4, not section 5. Actually, it has nothing to do with anything. Disregard.

Just on a passing note! your attitude stinks

and you come across as being tighter than a ducks arse:D do you think everyone else got there replay devices for free? or maybe won them in a raffle ? you were offered the cheapest possible way  stick it on a blank vcr in last resort scenario! ... and thats a straight forward no no for you too?

Do me a favour ;)

never enter anything I post ... because your little digi cam pics just aint enough :mischievous: who knows whats under the bonnet on your rides

laters Scrooge:tup:

Truth be told, I don't think the analyer data says much.

Only a replay really does it.
(especially in this case where the section 4 for hienrich is almost .2 behind p, then section 5 manages to gain almost .2 on p.)(btw, with the nature of the straight that contains 4&5, I really only see this as possible if P messes up. *not just tap the brakes, but actually deviates from proper line, and/or breaks into a slide and/or over brakes)

Basically, I think people have formed their opinions based on the data, and that's that.

Damage/vindincation done. (either way, it is set in each of our minds and only a replay will change or support our views.)

Good luck in the future to you hienrich.
(you might not need it for your times, but your rep is gonna need it)

Just on a passing note! your attitude stinks

I come here to have a good time and race against some fast people, not get insulted.

Yea, I don't feel like pissing away money or time. What the hell should you care? I started racing on this series because it said that I didn't have to have an xport. I guess that was a lie. I read somewhere about this series that there were other ways to verify that your race is legit. "Just save you replays"

I did. I put up the information but you, Max, and Kents are not satisfied. Well I don't give a damn. Here I was thinking this was a gentleman's race and that when I tried to cooperate I would be met with some respect.

The pictures prove that I have a replay that corresponds closely with the analyzer data. In other words, I didn't make it up.

who knows whats under the bonnet on your rides

You wouldn't even know that if I posted a replay! Think about it for a second man!!!! THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN BE SURE!!!

Why don't you come over to my apartment and watch me do it realtime. I'll buy you a ****ing plane ticket.

We can check your car with MKs program to make sure there aren't any mods added. And this is supposed to be a gentlemans race.

What is MKs program? Can it take Mr. P's replay and verify from the replay alone what the car has under the hood? Can it verify that Mr. P is actually the one who ran the race and not someone else?
