Overall I'm pretty happy with this update but a couple details bother me and have thrown off the aesthetic, mostly graphical and color related.
The new graphics along the left side of the forum list (the folder and conversation bubbles) are pretty ugly in my opinion and don't vibe with the rest of the site. The symbols themselves seem off and the color is very wrong. That color in particular is notable - there are at least
five shades of yellow that I can see going on and that's just too much. We've got the "site update" banner, the page number line, the Premium logo, the "messages have been posted since" banner at the bottom, and of course the folder and conversation icons on the main forum list. The colors of these things range from the comforting manila-yellow of the page numbers and "new messages" banner at the bottom - which would be appropriate for a folder or conversation bubble icon - to the blinding yellow of the folder and conversation bubble icons which of course would be appropriate for the Premium logo or, you know, a caution sign on the highway.
Gotta be honest, this color inconsistency and at least one of those
shades ☀️😎 is atrocious. For years, GTP has had simple and mature graphics and color with muted tones and good consistency but these features in particular stand out and are very distracting. Pretty sure they're the only things I don't like about the update. I don't want GTP to look like some run-of-the-mill forum with graphics designed by a highschooler - the site has had high UI standards for a long time and these details really do matter.
Edit: It appears there is also a glitch with the user online status icon that I accidentally screen capped. The icon is appearing right in the center at the bottom of avatars which is super goofy and doesn't vibe with the nicely stacked username and info list below it. I think this logo should definitely appear in a horizontal format either next to the user name or next to the Premium logo and should say simply "Online" and/or "Offline". Both of those words are around the same length as "Premium" and might look nice next to that logo or replacing it if it isn't applicable.
