My vote is also #2 ;))) I´m getting online in about 20 - 30 minutes
IWIN, I thought you didn´t like 4WD cars? :D

#2 for me also 👍

Looking like #2 then

5 people voted all for the same, I could guess Dj will go #2 and I think it was Caine that asked so will probably go 2 so I would guess I could just put that in

I will wait just to make sure though :D

yes #2 please!

👍 got it and spoke to Dj earlier and he happy with #2

CONFIRMATION OF A CAR CHANGE

WIN Racing will be changing car from the SLS to the R8

CONFIRMATION OF TIME VOTE RESULT

We quickly had 7 votes for number 2 and that is out of 12 FT drivers

So change time tracks will be set so the race starts at around 13:00 game time and progression will be set to 12 so that 24 hours will be cycled through in the 2 hours the race will be meaning we finish the race at around 13:00 game time 👍

Also where available the change weather feature will be use and set to the closest I can to the weather on the day at the track :D

OP updated

The audi,458,gtr should be hard to beat at spa and monte carlo quali pace at spa once cars are set up id think will be in the 215's but id say most people will cut to get that thinking about it id say a good non cut lap is a low 216 and 217s at monte carlo your goal should be 131s or 132s guys.

For A reference I did 216.3 at spa but i cut the last high speed corner by accident so to get a completely non cut lap a 216 low is fast with no cutting.

This is one track I will be keeping an eye on stay on the black stuff guys

Spa: track limit with whiteline. There's many places you could gain time by cutting or running little wide.

You could put this info also in to OP @spa.

Had a wee test on spa and monaco last night..the 458's bang on IWIN 1.31.9 at monaco and a clean 2.16.5 at spa...lets just hope the driver turns upon the day!!.lol. :)

Even better was the fact that de sarthe setup's good on spa and my laguna setup's good on monaco..saves alot of feckin about.. 👍

Kind of half contemplating a part time entry in the SLS. Few questions;

Is the grid start format not a bit unfair to all the FR cars? I can imagine the 4WD are going to gain places cheaply at the start of every race. I see you are going for a realistic series so why not DIY rolling starts?

Do the front and rear tyres always have to be the same compound? Or can you mix them?

Yes people will need to watch their track limits at Spa as it wont just be you watching for it, I will want all stewards present to keep an eye out for people using the run off areas to gain a little extra lap time 👍

Yes white line is the track limit and time/weather features wont be used during testing as I want all the data I get to be accurate and not compromised by anything 👍 features will be used when we get to the main series 👍

Nice to see you straight on the pace :D Do you know what times your team mate is getting?

I will be happy for you to enter as a part time driver :D

The grid start of course does give the 4x4's a slight advantage but so far in pre-season the FR's don't take long to get the gap back.
I am not DIY'ing rolling starts because reading over other threads where they do DIY a rolling start there seems there are issues all the time with people not understanding how to do a pace lap, people trying to warm their tires and causing incidents, etc. so decided it would be easier for all involved to use the features found in the game rather than try to regulate my own :D

Tires are free choice between the RM and RH 👍

EDIT:
An after thought on the standing starts, the FR's seem to be very fast starting car's and so far the only real looser at the standing starts has been the Viper and I'm sure if the drivers got together and re-tuned their 1st gear they could improve this for themselves 👍

Ok thanks. I'll pop along on Saturday to see what's what and decide whether I want in or not.

Not sure about Totals times...lol hardly ever online at the same time...we should all be testing and practicing with penalties on to get used to the games track limits.. :) on the grid, off the line the 458's a good starter..its only the initial launch the 4wd's take, the extra weight is usually apparent by the end of the start/finish straight when the rwd's have pulled it right back.. 👍

In my case the Viper's poor start is all about gearing. I'm happy to lose the jump off the marks to gain the driveability of 1st through the rest of the lap.

Yea that is true with the penalties, I haven't been using them in the weekend tests because we qualify and then race in the same lounge and I don't like having the penalties on for the race due to the ghost car issue :( and to change the regulations between quali and race will mean setting the grid manually and it is just messing around that for pre season I can't really be bothered with to be honest 👍

I thought it might be 👍

Indeed mikey, the 15min quali then straight to race saves alot of faffing about and its good it puts the drivers under a bit of pressure to perform in just a few laps. :)

Yea that's very true :D but we have half hour when we get to the season so every one can get a good chance to get a good lap in but there will be a little extra pressure when we get to Nurburgring ;)

Yeah nurburgring will be no problem for me spa is my weakness track I'd say cause I don't race on it but once I work it out ill be a lot faster

Also really the launch off the start really is not that much on racing tyre however if we were on say sport mediums or lesser tyres yes it would be more the boys and I have have good races ill tell you just like they have the 4wd launch is no advantage really

To be fair the only time I have really picked up places on the start is if someone else has had a particularly bad start the 1 that does seem really fast off the line so far is the Lambo.

I think it might be best if you change my status to part-time only. I will be returning to University in a few weeks so I probably won't have time to attend all sessions.

OK mate no problem 👍

Seem to be having issues at Spa, about 2 seconds off the pace which is unusual for me. Going back to the change weather feature, 5 / 8 tracks have the ability for weather change, only Daytona, Laguna and Monaco will definitely be dry races.

Well I didn't realize it was that many 👍

I am loading in now to get some laps at Monaco if anyone want's to join :D

I´m off the pace, too :D Very disappointing for me, I really have no idea how you all can get that fast lap times.
Mikey, one question. Maybe needless, but I just realised, that not every car has the obligation for a rear wing? At least on the first page with all the car regulations...
