I'll be there shortly, I expect to be off the pace there aswell.

well your not :D  1.32.302 good pace :D

I´m off the pace, too :D Very disappointing for me, I really have no idea how you all can get that fast lap times.
Mikey, one question. Maybe needless, but I just realised, that not every car has the obligation for a rear wing? At least on the first page with all the car regulations...

CARS

ALL CARS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE CAR DEALERSHIP AND ARE PREMIUM
ALL CARS MUST HAVE ALL AERODYNAMIC PARTS FITTED!
SOME HAVE WING STYLE STATED

It is underneath the car list  only reason some have a style stated is because there is a choice of 2/3 and it is the most GT style wing if it doesn't state a style then chances are there is only 1 to choose from :) 👍

My Monaco lap 1.32.150

Glen just arrived and straight onto a 1.33.134 so far (only 2/3 laps completed 👍)

I´ve driven some laps (5-6) on Monaco, too and got a 1´33 smth...
I haven´t tuned the car especially for this track but it seems that I am just ****n slow at Monaco :D Only track I can hold the pace by now, is Nurburgring, I got a 8´04 with R8 ;)

hmm I'm sure you could find a little more and that isn't much off especially for a race pace 👍

This won't make you happy but I just done a new lap of 1.31.752 :D and I 🤬 up the 2nd part of the swimming pool so there is more there yet :D
Maybe a 31.5 :sly:

Red Leader joined for a short while and tested the SLS at Monaco and got a 1.31.909

Biggest problem for me was exiting the tunnel. Even with minimum (25) rear aero the front was lifting off at the crest leaving me unable to steer so whatever line I was on at the time, i was stuck taking into the chicane. SLS would be much better with either less (or no) rear aero, or some front aero to balance it out like the 458 etc. I was using med fronts, hard rears as a way of trying to put some more front end into it. Works to a certain extent but makes low speed traction very poor. Gonna build a couple of the other cars and see how they feel. I think for 2hr races something a bit more stable and balanced is the way to go. The SLS is a bit of a beast!

Straight into the 1.31's with it and still complaining  there is just no pleasing some people :D I thought you looked very happy with it after that lap time :sly: we still have 4 tests to get through so there is pleanty of time to test other cars 👍

I know but endurance racing is about consistancy and having the confidence to do controlled repeatable laps. I found the SLS to be nervous and unpredictable. Monaco maybe doesn't suit it that well but I think the balance is always going to be compromised with the available aero options it has. It's quick but you have to drive every inch of the way. There are definitely easier cars to drive out there.

Ah without doubt there are easier cars there to drive :) all depends what suits individual drivers, so far the SLS has done very well in the hands of IWIN, RS and jammy getting it in the top few places at each test :D. Monaco won't be the best track for the SLS but keep testing and find what you feel comfortable with ;)

I would like to use it but the thought of doing a 2hr race in it makes me exhausted just thinking about it. Hopefully I'll find a way to tame it with a better setup. Only really spent half an hour on it so in that respect it definitely has more to give.

There must be a way to tame it ;)
at Suzuka it got 1st, 3rd and 5th
at Daytona it got 1st and 3rd
and didn't really run at Laguna or Le Mans.
And only half hour on setup and got a 1.31 at Monaco is really good going 👍

As I said a few posts ago there is still 4 test's to go before all car choices are locked in, so plenty of time to tinker and test other cars and make a final coice 👍

TEST SESSIONS

I am aware that most of you have attended at least 1 test session and race but I am sure that there are some that have not yet attended any.

Please try to attend one of the remaining test sessions 👍
This is so every driver has had at least some track time with everyone else 👍

For anyone interested I'm in my lounge for some Spa practice if anyone wants to join. I will be AFK for a while, but it's all setup ready.

Can't get on tonight :(

Just a thought but it might be easier for people to test in my lounge as everyone can enter as I have everyone on my friends list 👍

PRE-RACE PRACTICE SESSIONS

As I'm sure you all know I will be hosting a practice session (3-4 hours long) during the week before each race and as we will be 3/4 of the way through testing after this weekend I am looking to confirm the final little detail on the calendar 👍

I need to know when the majority of you will be available to do this.
So that I can put it on the calendar for everyone's information
I would like to do it on the Wednesday or Thursday evening if we can.

The idea is that if we have a practice session before each race then we all have the same pre race practice opportunity.

In the interest of fair sportsmanship I would also like those who can't get to the official practice sessions to practice for a similar amount of time and no more
(so those that have the time to practice more don't have an unfair advantage of extra track time)

There is no way for me to police this so can't make it a regulation but please be fair guys as not everyone has the same amount of time to get onto GT and to practice

THIS WEEKEND

PRE-SEASON TEST SESSIONS 5&6

The session's will begin at 6pm with a free run practice for you all to get to know your car's and find a setup that works for you.
At 7:45 I will do a quick spec check and we will have a shortened qualifying session to decide a grid.
Around 8pm we will start a race planned to last about 1 hour (laps will be decided on the day).
This will allow us to see if the different strengths of each car are working properly and the car's are balanced (or not) and if any adjustments need to be made.
It will also provide everyone with some practice racing each other before the real racing begins.
And give me a really good look at how many laps I need to make each race ;)
ALL RACE RULES WILL BE IN PLACE
Although penalties will be relaxed.
This does not mean the you can get away with aggressive/dangerous/unruly driving.
Just means championship penalties don't apply.
Unofficial warning(s) may be given if the stewards in attendance see anything unruly.
In the event of warning being given then that driver will be watched closely through the remainder of the pre-season test's.
Too many warnings will still result in a penalty or ban from racing in the season.

On Saturday we will be going to Spa.

The parts of the tack at Spa the steward's will be particularly watching will be:
EXIT TURN 1: It is very possible to get on the power too early and run wide gaining an advantage.
TURNS 3,4,&5:These corners make up Eau Rouge and Raidllion, As I'm sure some of you know it is easy to cut the apex at the top of the hill and gain an advantage.
TURN 12: This is Pouhon and again we will be looking for cars running too wide as you will gain an advantage from this.
TURN 18: Blanchimont, Again it is the outside of the track where an advantage can be gained.
TURNS 19&20: Bus stop chicane, As always it seems with Spa we will be looking at the exit for cars running wide.
You all should know the rules and expectations if a mistake is made and you find yourself in this situation 👍

PIT ENTRY:
The Pit entrance is on the right in the middle of the last chicane and to my knowledge there is no line or way to cause an incident on the way into the pits :D

PIT EXIT:
When exiting the pits there is a white line that you must stay inside of (close to the barrier to the right)

Again you should all know the ruling 👍

On Sunday we will be going to the Millionaire's playground, Monaco.

The parts of the tack at Monaco the steward's will be particularly watching will be:
Well none  if you go off track you will be in a barrier

Pit Entry:
Is between turns 16 & 17, Rascasse and Antony Noghes on your right and no line in to my knowledge.

Pit Exit
I will be more important that ever here to keep inside the pit exit line when leaving the pits as the track is so narrow.
Drivers coming up the start finish straight should have a check on their mini map to check if there is a car coming out the pits and will be expected to allow space where the pit exit is.

I will be trying to keep as much of an eye on everyone's lap times as I can but will be on track for as much time as I can. Any driver that feels their car is too slow/fast ( like you will complain about that ) please let your concerns known by both IWIN and myself so that we then know that a review is needed.
Full details of post test information regarding cars, warnings, lap times, test race results etc. will be posted in the 'last event details' post 👍

Hope to see you all there 👍

I don't have time to do that much testing for this series. Sorry.
My Weds and Thurs are mostly already taken.

Any other day's you could do?

And if it happens that not many can get to an official test then I will just set it for the best time for me (so the time I will be practicing) and if people can get there then great but if not then they can practice when they can 👍

Just asking all to limit themselves to the 3-4 hours if they do test alone 👍

Will have to be Thursday for me, Wednesday is my WRS race night!

I see you changed your sig Mike, wonder where you got that idea from

 I just added my results etc and having wondered and then figured out how you named your link, changed that :D and the links on the OP to tidy it up 👍

Wonder how many people noticed the changes to the OP ;)

The other thing, in my opinion, the Lotus should go.

#1 I haven't seen anyone use it
#2 It's out-dated compared to the other cars
#3 Without it we have 8 cars, 8 tracks

I have seen it tested but that's it.
Hadn't noticed that little figure of 8&8
I might take it out but it could be a wild card if someone was to choose it because it is standard so has none of the front aero parts

On another note, found my Mojo at Spa now, few little tweaks to setup and bam! 2'16.319

that'll do for tonight for me, see you tomorrow :)
