Was definitely a good race! Quite scrappy from me though, would definitely be in for a penalty for track limits. Little bit disappointed with 2nd though, had two costly mistakes which saw me drop to the back, other than that, every lap was a quali lap for me. I was abit shocked to hear Mike say he was taking it easy at the end, I was barely catching him and I was pushing like hell!

I suspect all of us went beyond the track linits at least once as it is so easy to do but the best way to counter it is with a lift of the throttle to acknowledge the "advantage gained off track". You will never get it perfect and might still have gained a small ammount but it will show the stewards that the advantage wasn't intentional and that you tried to give the time back. Watch me through Eau Rouge on the 1st lap, I went way too far over the line at the left apex so just lifted off the throttle completely to make sure I didn't gain an advantage 👍

As for me not pushing was just looking after my tires expecting I was going to need them to defend from you, but then you ran out of laps :D

Hello P1K3Y

I'd like to sign up in this series. I don´t kow If I can race all of them (the race hour it's not the best for me), so I'll be part time.

As I've just discovered it now, I'm not sure which car I'll take. I like the GT-R but I'm in doubt. Is it the GT-R R35 TC or the GT-R Black Edition 12?

GTP TAG..............................GTP_Nikel
PSN TAG..............................minqi
INDEPENDANT......................indp
CAR CHOICE........................GT-R (initially)

Thanks for your effort in organizing

OK mate 👍 good to have you on board :) I will put your details on the OP later when I get on the computer (am on my phone now)

It is the GT-R35 Black Edition '12 👍
Please paint you car white and choose your wheel color 👍

There are 3 test sessions left, tonight is Monaco then we have Monza and Nurburgring next weekend, please try to attend at least one of the remaining test sessions 👍

The last 3 laps I had no 'pushable' grip left, so just decided to settle for 2nd. Yeah I did lift on the occasions I felt I gained significant amounts of time, more often than not I actually lost time by running wide + compromising the next corner.

Will be interesting over 2 hours as I got a feeling that R8 will make 1 less stop than everyone else, and its fast anyway! If the average stop costs you say 30 seconds, its only about 0.5 per lap that we need to gain to make up the time for the extra stop. I feel the Viper can do it, as its proving one of the fastest on most tracks, not so sure about the 458, its close, but I think it's lacking about .2 a lap. If the stop takes 45 seconds then that bumps it up to .750 a lap, and that is a little too much to gain I think. But, you could be losing 1.5+ a lap at the end of your stints, so who knows only time (or Iwin) will tell us

I had a feeling you had used the best of your tires while I was crusing around keeping mine in as good condition as I could incase you did catch right up and I needed them to defend ;)

I know the GT-R can do the same stint length as the R8 and I am sure with some careful driving the 458 should be able to get close enough on it's stint length. An average pit stop in the 2 hour races will take longer than the 30 seconds or so they are now as everyone will be taking on more fuel :)

Maybe, but as we are probably going to be making an extra stop we can take on less fuel at each stop, over the race we will all take on similar amounts of fuel, so in theory the extra stop will only costs us pit entry, time to change tyres + exit time, which is between 30 - 45 seconds depending on the track.

The 458 seems to have pretty even tyre wear with the Viper so far. I can stretch my tyres out to make them last long enough to 2 stop, but I would lose more time over the course of the race than just pitting a 3rd time and pushing on them.

Thats a good point caine, was'nt sure about the difference between pitting a 3rd time and making a 2 stopper do...with me in the 458 when the tyres get below half i can be losing 1.5-2 secs a lap..and with 3 stops could be getting all fuel for free.. 👍

The stops will be longer because I put on average about 10 lts in to complete an hour meaning for the 2nd hour I will need another 110lts and that will take about 90 seconds. We can split that into the 2 stops so putting 60lts in per stop so each stop should be about 40 seconds fueling time, tires take about 20 seconds meaning I will be waiting about 20 seconds per stop for the fuel to finish :)

This is where the diferent strategys will play a big part in the main event's

Tonight will be imposible, but I'll be there next week.

Do I have to install rear wing? (the GT R comes with a small rear wing, but it doesn´t allow to adjust any downforce)

Yes all GT Auto aero parts must be installed 👍

Sounds similar to me in the SLS. When my tyres start to go I lose masses of time. I also have very uneven wear so the balance changes; rears wear way quicker than the fronts.

I think the 2 stopper was right for me last night. If I had put in the correct amount of fuel and split it evenly between the stops I would've easily gained a good 10secs+ that way. My first stop I just did tyres, and the second I added an idiotic 31 litres.

I think I almost have to do more stops because even if I was to shadow the 1 stoppers (or whatever the equivalent is in a 2hr race) and do less stops, because I use more fuel I would always lose out in the pits.

Ok I'll change it another day cause I'm going to bed soon cause I need to get a few hours sleep for the race

The balance change is to be expected, the RWD's will use their rear tires quicker resulting in a balance change to over steer, where the 4x4's use the front tires quicker resulting in under steer. Your driving style can do a lot for the tires meaning if you take it a little easier (when possible) and in a RWD things like short shifting can really help the tires out a lot and buy you extra laps at the end of your stint.

I'm coming to Monte Carlo and I'm bringing the pace ;)

Excellent 👍

he's also bringing the Peanut butter

As long as he doesn't fit a peanut butter dispenser to the back of his car to make the track slippery

I will be heading to my lounge in a minuet (I seen Caine already there) to get the test session going 👍

I take it that I've missed this one?

Yea but we still got Monza and Nurburgring next weekend 👍

Great race tonight boys thanks to all that attended

I will second that, great race tonight and again there is just a 1.09 minute gap from 1st to last :D

I believe that it was also a clean race from all drivers (except some lag (if I'm wrong please PM me)) so well done to all and makes me look forward to getting the main season going even more :D

Another big  to all
