Ok white with black wheels ok? see you at monza il send an add later.

Well if you are planning to race at the final 3 races, I don't see any reason why you can't team up with P1K3Y_M1K3Y in the R8. That would fill the team slot left vacant by Iwin. Obviously speak with him first though. 👍

@Tanner350z Not fussed at this late time guys, if you would like to drive the R8 and you expect to score points then they would be handy to help keep the lead in the teams championship ;)

@ROB 256R didn't really want the 3rd to be honest but RS ran into tyre trouble I assume and I kind of found myself in 3rd

@gtpcaine thanks for the reminder I will put that in the next event information 👍

PRACTICE

I will be hosting a pre-race practice session on Thursday's from 6pm for all that can get there. For those that can't attend this please fine 3-4 hours to practice yourself. Please limit your practice to this amount of time to be fair to all others as not everyone has the same amount of time to practice 👍

RACE DAY

On race day my private lounge will be open by 5.30pm with spec checks at 6:10pm
Please arrive early to avoid last minuet connection issues
IF YOU MISS SPEC CHECKS YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO QUALIFY SO PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!
Qualifying is from 6:15pm-6:45pm
If you know you will miss spec checks for qualifying please make sure you tell me if you will be there for the start of the race as I will be hosting a public lounge set to allow the amount of drivers that qualified.
Public race room will be open by 6:50 and all drivers will be expected to get there as quickly as possible so we can get another spec check done before race start at 7pm :D

I HAVE SET THE TIMER 1 HOUR EARLY TO ENSURE THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT MOVED YOUR CLOCKS EITHER TURN UP ON TIME IF NOT EARLY

I can't honestly see -4pp taking much off the Viper's speed. It's comfortably the fastest in a straight line. Spare a thought for poor Mikey; -12pp on the R8 will be rough! That 4th place at Spa is gonna haunt him. Only way I could possibly see him podium this week is if it's wet. But even then, would he want to?

No chance do I want a podium didn't really want it at Spa lol but found RS struggling for grip on last lap and couldn't help but take the position and you're right that 3rd will haunt me this weekend :(

I think the SLS is the fastest in a straight line, it has more power, and that extra gear really helps here. I'm about 1 second off what I managed in pre-season so far, but only had a quick session, and I didn't feel like there was much more time left on the table. But we'll see, I didn't expect to be fast at Laguna... and won it!

Forgot about the SLS. Viper still up there though.

Yes Mike. Think I'll be dodging the podium this week too. Will probably skip qualifying again like I did at Laguna.

What's the weatherman saying for Monza btw?

I'll skip Monza as i said before (calendar problems - double booking).

The report seems to change a lot, going to have a play with the settings tonight.

I am loading the game and sorting the settings out now so lounge will be open in about 5 mins

I noticed when practicing for Spa that in the track options i set the changebility to zero and surface water to 60%..now,on track the sun was shining but was, as set 60% wet..it took 12 laps to drop to less than 20% and i can only assume that had i carried on it would've dried out completely. Its just a thought but if its forecast patchy rain or a chance of rain may i suggest this setting at whatever percentage decided and then we could get the best of both..just an idea...obviously i would prefer a dry race but if there's a chance of rain at least this way we know were not gonna get 2hrs of pure washout.

Yeah. It got silly at Le Mans. Too wet for too long. Got 4 laps on a dry tyre! I worked out the time difference had the timer not run out; ~8mins spread the field! Nobody wants that.

Sorry I missed practice tonight but it always clashes with BTCC. And afterwards I can't be bothered. Beforehand and it'll just ruin my touch on the sports tyres. I'm 'taking a dive' this week anyway so not putting much time into setup/strategy.

Don't worry ROB practice is always optional and I know the BTCC runs on a Thursday. If you want a practice you are free to do this on your own but all I ask is that you keep the time to a sensible limit as not everyone has the time to put hours and hours of practice in.

I think the weather settings I have decided on are:
Weather: 50% (play with it until it is overcast and not raining)
Changeability: 5
Surface water: 50%
Each time I tested this it worked out about the same:
Damp track - no rain - dry after about 15-20 min
then should have a rain shower towards the end of the race.
Meaning we will need to start on the Intermediate tyre, change to slicks and end back on the Inter.

That's only if the forecast doesn't change between now and race time yeah? It's supposed to be dry from 16:00 onwards, if you're aiming at a 13:00 start time, the rain needs to fall 3 hours earlier! Btw Mike, you know if it rains you're going to have to go for the win, you need the points!

Yes if the report changes then the settings will change to suit (will open the room early to test any changes) and yea I do need the points but the thought of going to Monaco -18pp is not a nice one :( but only 3 wins in a row would put me in a position of taking the title :/

On the other hand, the R8 is fast out the box, and it's hard to overtake at Monaco.

Yea but being that low on pp would make it very difficult to keep the pace and stay ahead in the pits.

Going to skip qualifying tonight so don't wait for me. I'll probably join the Q room about 6.30 if that's ok? Or I can wait for a message that the race room is open at 6.50ish and just go straight there?

Weather update: Cloudy skies

Correct caine, the weather report says cloudy skies with a 52% chance of rain reducing to 24% chance by 16:00.
So I think the settings will stay as they are but with a lower changeability (1/2 will test later)

No problem mate. If you wanted to watch qualifying I would prefer you be there before the session starts or wait for the message to say the race room is open (just to avoid the chat box during the session as it annoys most of us). Either way I know to set the race room for a space for you.

Ok. I'll join between 6.10 and 6.15 then, just before Q starts but I won't 'spec in'. Will watch for the most part and maybe do a couple of sighter laps. See you all later.

OK mate see you later, silly thing is I bet you will still start ahead of Dj because he will probably go into settings lol
