The Marcos LM600. Wonderfully bonkers car.

Audi's 90's GT1 race car that never saw the light of day.

I think it would be badass if this what if racecar can be brought back to life in the virtual world of motorsport games. May not happen but imagine if Audi and PD work together to bring this car back to life. But Audi has never acknowledged this car existed same story with Porsche's LMP 2000 with the V10 engine. Porsche barely acknowledged it existed until now. Because they shelved the project and basically kept the engine and detuned it for the Porsche carrera gt.

Its obvious how the design got carried over to the Audi R8C most likely their Audi R8 road car.

Time for some new, updated Gr. 3 machinery, featuring the best and latest cars, from GT1 to GT3, GTE/GTLM and Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

Chevrolet Corvette C5.R '04 (This newer model is in contrast to the original 2000 model seen in previous games.)

Ford GT GT1 '10 (We have the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car and the original car from GT4, but it would make sense to have the real-world equivalent too.)

Koenigsegg CCGT '08 (Koenigsegg's first step to entering the Manufacturers' Series. Polyphony will have to design a Koenigsegg Agera Gr. 4 next.)

Maserati MC12 GT1 '05 (Besides Koenigsegg, this car can easily get Maserati to compete in the Manufacturers' Series, they just need to add the GranTurismo MC GT4 next.)

Bugatti Veyron Gr. 3 (Polyphony can get away with the Bugatti Veyron having a Gr. 4 race car, but not a Gr. 3 version where originally it was supposed to be the VGT in Gr. 3. Well the photo here is from Shift 2: Unleashed depicting a "works-converted" Veyron, or in Gran Turismo terms, "race modifications", to give you an idea what a possible Bugatti Veyron Gr. 3 should look like.)

Find it weird that Polyphony seems to be ignoring our boxy, but aesthetically pleasing elders from the 80's with lots of bodyroll and little horsepower. They used to add many in the older games, but now they seem to be avoiding an entire decade of cars. I kinda get why in GT Sport, but with tuning returning to its former glory in GT7... these would be super fun to have in the car list.

we have no confirmation of the Corvette C8 as of now. I think it will be added in an Update
I agree, I don't think it'll be present at launch, but I'm hoping we'll get some form of the C8 in a content update, as well as a racing version, whether it's the C8.R, the GT3-spec model that's coming, or a made-for-game Gr.3 version.

Speaking of Corvettes, I'm really hoping Callaway returns, not only with a premium version of the C12, but perhaps the C16 coupe and some other models, too, if only because I live a mere few minutes away from their international HQ.

I love Callaway! but i dont think they will return at launch. they aren't exactly a big manufacturer. But hopefully in an update they add Callaway back. Would love to see the C12 and Sledgehammer

I was looking at the confirmed car list and shocked that there is still no Ferrari 488 on there. We've been stuck with the 458 for years in GT Sport, long after it was mostly retired from major racing competitions. Same goes for the McLaren 720S.

And for the love of Kaz, why haven't they been able to get Lotus back in the game...

3 more cars ticked off my list!
-Honda Civic Type R FK8 '20
-Suzuki Swift Sport '18
-Mercedes C63 '16
Been wanting the Swift, since we had it in the GT Sport brand central ad and especially, after I test drove one.

Sedans again. Mentioned my first car was a Saab. My second car was a Passat and third and fourth were Jettas(8v 2-door and 16V). The Bora V6 found its way into the past games. Surprised we never got any sporting Passats.

I owned this car (I think exactly this year and trim) and I didn't want to drive it in real life, let alone in a racing game . Engine powered by a hamster wheel, manual shifter that felt like it was stuck in mud, floaty handling and zero steering feel. Let alone all the mechanical and electrical problems it had. I have PTSD just looking at it. Unless PD cheated with its handling and acceleration I can't imagine finding it fun to drive. Still a nice design though.

It’s the VR6, not the 2L. Biiiiig difference. ;) I had a slightly tuned VR6 put in my 16V, after the motor died. Added a little weight in the nose, but the eighty plus horsepower jump and amount of torque was astounding.

Ahh yes sorry, that's a big jump I'm sure! Though I think I'd want some aftermarket parts to handle the extra horses -- my stock 2L always felt a bit of a deathtrap.

Yeah. My 1.8L 16V came stock 123hp, but it weighed under 1000kg. The A3 Jetta(115hp) was about 300kg heavier.
